Burghley large two seater settee
Bought a Burghley large two seater settee a few months back. Retailer very helpful, delivery perfect, Settee makes you sit very upright, but you are not at all relaxed in any way.

Hi Lynda, we are sorry that you are disappointed with your Burghley sofa as it has been one of the most popular models in our range for more than 10 years. Comfort is, of course, a subjective issue and we would always suggest visiting a stockist who has the model on display, to make sure it is right for you before making a decision. There are options on the type of seat filling for the Burghley. The "Encore" seat would offer a more relaxed style and we would suggest that you contact your stockist who would be able to advise on this.

Both chairs arrived within the delivery timescales and were unpacked expertly by the delivery guys. They gave a brief overview of operations which was helpful.

Steve Peberdy was our Engineer. All I can say is, What excellent customer service. He arrived earlier than scheduled and was very professional and courteous. He found the issue very quickly and solved the problem on my swivel reclining chair and took measures to ensure that it would not happen again. Thankyou Parker Knoll, he is a credit to the organisation.

The recliner was not functioning
The recliner was not functioning, and the call to my retailor was quickly followed by an appointment arranged by Parker Knoll. The engineer who arrived (Steve Peberby) was on time, very efficient, pleasant and obviously a person who had served time in the products that he had to deal with. A journey from Lincoln to Lancashire with the right engineer, must indicate a quality customer service.

Fault on arm of sofa
Contacted Parker Knoll regarding our new Chicago two seater recliner. The arm on one side had a slight ridge noticeable in the light. My concern was this would show a wear mark over time. Photos sent and a representative was sent out to check if this was a fault. Steve Penerdy came out. He assessed the arm and ended up taking the whole sofa arm apart to find a manufacturer fault. He remedied this problem. The arm is perfect and matches the other side now. He worked very hard keeping the area clean and tidy. He was extremely polite and checked our dog would be ok with the noise of the compressor. I am very pleased with his work and assessment of the sofa.

You promised to pass on my enquiry…but we never heard anything again.
You promised to pass on my enquiry reference arm covers for our recently bought suite but I had no response whatsoever! When I was told covers weren’t made I’d asked if it was possible to buy some material instead. Never heard from Parker Knoll again - not even a NO!
When one considers the cost of the suite I find this extremely bad customer service.

Whilst some of our designs are not suitable for fitted armcaps, all of the fabrics in our current range are available to purchase by the metre through our stockists. We would anticipate that this information would have been immediately passed on during a call.
