Selling your family home is a big scary venture. I invited 3 local Estate Agents to value the house, then I picked the one that I thought I’d most like to work with, and that was Joe at Penny & Sinclair. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy, because he really is a genuinely nice guy. But he’s also incredibly good at his job. He understands the local market, and quickly lined up a week of viewings. No time-wasters, just genuine buyers who actually wanted our type of house. In no time at all, we had multiple buyers interested, and we accepted an offer well above the asking price. There were bumps along the way, as there are with most house sales, but he was on-it straight away, liaising effortlessly between buyer, seller, and both solicitors. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe & his team.

I used Penny&sinclair for a 2 week stay in an Airbnb. They were absolutely amazing at communicating… if there was a problem in the property they would sort it out. They were quick & always on hand when we needed them. Would 100% recommend

Joe Worsell was friendly, kind, helpful and understanding. When things got really tough for me despite others not always keeping him and me 'in the loop' he took a calm measurerd approach which was really helpful. He's a cheerful, friendly person and really does listen which is really important as alot of people come accross as good listeners but in reality they are not.

My daughter and I came to Oxford needing a Short Let while my daughter attended a Summer Program. We were unhappy with our choices until reaching Lisa and Amber at Penny & Sinclair. I dealt with Penny and Sinclair for two short lets for my five-month stay in Oxford. Amber Littlechild was professional and courteous and was very helpful in every step of the process. Amber met me at the flat each time to deliver and pick up the keys and was available every time I needed assistance in between. I was also refunded my security deposit in a timely way without undue waiting. I would certainly lease through them again!

Penny and Sinclair dealt with my recent house sale in Oxford, which went without a hitch and with excellent personal service. Being polite and friendly, but impartial and professional, he earned our trust from the very beginning, so we were more than happy for him to manage the sale of our old house. We were prepared for a scenario that the house wouldn't sell fast enough, but it was done really quickly (and on top of that amidst a holidays season), we had 2 offers within 3 weeks. Can't recommend Penny and Sinclair enough!! After several terrible experiences with another estate agency, P&S completely surpassed all of my expectations (particularly Joe and his team). Joe is friendly, helpful and always strives to make the process as seamless and easy as possible. He was always responsive, respectful and was so dedicated. I felt like he was completely in my corner which made the selling process much easier to deal with.

As a tenant in a property managed by Penny and Sinclair I have the following feedback;

1. We made a complaint about black mould in the house 7 times over the course of 6 months. It was never dealt with, and we ended up leaving the property. - It was disgusting and had spread to three rooms!

2. Penny and Sinclair were the property managers and were most certainly more on the 'side' of the landlord, and not the tenant.

3. Other maintenance issues took months to get them solved.

4. Our assigned 'property manager' changed 4 times in the space of 14 months. (That tells me more about the company culture than anything else!)

5. At the end of the tenancy, it has taken a month (and counting) to get the final documentation and we still haven't had our deposit released!

Thinking of renting through Penny and Sinclair? - I would suggest you choose one of the other agencies in Oxford.
