Rip off company
Rip off company. Withheld money from my parents house sale to ensure bill could be paid, this was after his bill was paid as they had already taken their cut. Battling for 7 months,to get this cash back which is a few thousand and still waiting. Disgusting company. Ripping off an old couple you should be strung up.
One can only hope that some action is…
One can only hope that some action is taken to prevent these unregulated companies operating in future. I hear the Phillips Trust Corporation has now gone into administration. We were relatively fortunate in that my husband sensed something was not quite right when the Philips Trust rep came out to see us following the problems with the Family Trust Corporation. It took a frustrating 18 months and a very hefty solicitor's bill to disentangle ourselves from the clutches of this unscrupulous bunch of people. Anybody involved with the Philips Trust, the Family Trust Corporation, Deedbank and any other offshoots should be barred from being a company director.
ON NO ACCOUNT USE THIS COMPANY
ON NO ACCOUNT USE THIS COMPANY! We like many others have been ripped off and lied to! They have a lot of money of ours and my father in laws and also his property! We are heartbroken and at a loss as what to do.
Administrators being appointed
This company is in the high court today to appoint administrators. There is a Facebook action group with 280+ members complaining and seeking support with their failures to respond or fulfil their legal and fiduciary duties as a trustee. Avoid.
Ripped off my dad t the tune of £60000
Ripped off my dad t the tune of £60000. Do not invest!
Without going into too much detail
Without going into too much detail, I have reported Philips Trust Corporation to the National Fraud Squad with a crime reference number.
I have sent a copy of a complete file relating to a Trust to which this company have retained approximately £180,000, to the FCA.
I am aware of a Facebook Action Group specifically set up to help people. There are also a number of solicitors trying to help clients sort out their issues with this company.
I agree with previous sentiments that the directors should be named and shamed.
So, I would suggest avoiding anything to do with any of the previous named people or any of their companies.
Hopefully the Directors will receive the appropriate remedy through due legal process.
Next steps will be serving a statutory demand to target individual directors for the £180,000 and the breach of Trust (Kay Collins, Wells etc.). Whilst not immediately, Whilst it is little solace at the moment, I am convinced that they will not be able to sleep easy at night and their actions will have very significant consequences for them in the future.
Avoid this company
We came to this company via the same route, it seems, as many others: The Leeds Building Society offered a free will writing consultation with the Will Writing Company, which was subsequently taken over by the Philips Trust. In March last year, out of the blue, they offered us a Zoom meeting to review our wills. We were happy to update them and paid £245.00 for mirror wills. It took a while to iron out spelling mistakes and various amendments. Eventually, in November 21 we were happy and asked that the final copies of the wills should be issued for signing. That was the last we heard from them. Our emails have gone unanswered and they were impossible to reach by telephone. We gave them the benefit of the doubt due to Covid but after reading recent reviews here, we realised that it was time to seek assistance. And sort out new wills, at further expense.
If something were to happen to us now - we are over 70- our family would be in a fix!
Terrible!!
Terrible!!!
My mother invested a large sum over 2.5 approx years ago after my fathers passing. And has had issues getting even a penny back since. Wanted to take out a small sum, and tried for over a year. After next to no correspondence or help from them, decided to request the whole amount back. Eventually received a call to advise the person that went out to see her to take the initial investment had now been terminated. The lady took advantage of her to be honest as she was not sure what to do with this money, and thought as her building society recommended them it was safe. My mother is 71.
She was recommended this company fron Newcastle Building Society. Which have been no help when we called them. Neither has to Ombudsman.
We are at a loss what to do now. As its been over a year since last contract from someone that told her that they would have to sell stocks to get her money back But this should be 6-8 month process. Now after 12 months + we are still chasing them.
Trust Fund with PTC is now gone
My parents took out trust fund with will writing company in Newcastle Upon Tyne some years ago in 2019 I was able to contact PTC o
And all was good. Since then e mails calls have gone unanswered or we will call or reply after we move. Well Maria I am still waiting. My mother who just turned 98 would not last if I told her that I cannot even get what everything is worth . This company now does not keep promises and by responses on here look like they don’t care. Based on recent responses from this company avoid at all costs as looks like my parents money has gone up in smoke.
where is the update for the 'valued…
where is the update for the 'valued clients' ????????
time and time again 'updates' are due to be given and nothing. Nothing since before Christmas. Whoever directs this shambles of a company need to be held accountable before they bounce onto setting up their next dodgy company and put more families through hell.
deplorable - avoid avoid avoid
If we could rate them a minus score we would. Trying to write a review is difficult as the words are hard to find.
They dont respond to emails or calls, they have lied and are now ignoring solicitor requests to transfer the ownership of our family property.
Abhorrent behaviour and it makes me wonder how their director Kay Collins can actually sleep at night
AVOID
My parents unfortunately seem yet further victims of this company’s appalling and unscrupulous practice, failing abysmally in their duty as investment trustees. Some response to repeated emails would be appreciated but alas so far have been unanswered and it appears it is not possible to successfully make contact by telephone. IN A NUTSHELL, DO NOT USE.

Any Luck with Solicitors?
Has anyone had any luck with a solicitor regarding this company. If we could get my parents property changed back into their names it would be a help. Has anyone else contacted the Financial Conduct Authority as we have heard nothing from them since reporting the Phillip's Trust. Surely the Serious Fraud Squad should be investigating them.
We became involved with this company…
We became involved with this company after making our wills with The Family Trust who we thought worked closely with Leeds Building society so were a reputable firm; after a while we were informed by Philips trust that they had replaced The Family Trust and now held our wills. We contacted them as we needed to make a change, we had a zoom meeting, paid upfront for the change and waited and waited. After numerous calls/emails/written requests we eventually got our new wills to sign; the address was wrong, my name was wrong, we contacted them or tried to, no response. They have our Lasting Power of Attorney Documents but we can't get in touch to ask them to return them. I would not deal with this company and would advise any one thinking of using them to stop and think again. They are totally unprofessional and a disgrace to their profession.
Incompetent and fraudulent
The Philips Trust Corporation are a disaster. It appears there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of their 'customers' who are being denied access to their properties, investments and other assets. It is, as yet, unclear exactly what has been going on over the last few years, but Philips Trust have certainly been guilty of gross negligence and must be brought to account.
Avoid
Well after chasing this fraudulent cowboy company yet again, and trying to contact for for information or at least a copy of her will (which she still hasn't received despite it being returned signed by her), she is concerned that this company may have altered her Will and made themselves Trustees. I will chase on her behalf but both myself and my Mum are really stressed with it all. Failing that it will be an appointment with a local Solicitors firm to re-write another.
This Company really needs looking into and investigating. There are so many comments and it makes wonder whom else they are 'ripping' off.
Currently not worth dealing with
Currently not worth dealing with. As have no update on my late aunts bonds held in trust with this company. No statement from them in last two years, the lack of communication is shocking. We all know you can only blame covid for so long. Customers/clients only want to know where their money/assets are and that they are safe. Because there is a lack of communication Philip's Trust is coming across as a company who you cannot TRUST.
Do not touch these clowns with a barge…
Do not touch these clowns with a barge pole.. 13k of my parents money placed in a bond without their knowledge.. and now they won't communicate as to where it is. Won't answer emails or calls..Maria Jones is a liar!!! Says she will do something and then fails to deliver. This company is a disgrace
Initially with Family Trust and now…
Initially with Family Trust and now with Philips Trust. Savings placed in Bond Portfolio which they have stopped paying monthly income. Now having hassle getting my Trust Deeds sent back to me. Avoid this company for peace of mind.
