DO NOT USE! We already have a family trust with investments and dads bungalow and needed to update our LPA due to mum's death. we used PTC as already with them (they should have put a second person on the original one but did not) they charged us over £500 and we did all the work, same as if we'd gone direct (we did not know this). Now only one has come back, the other was returned to them and is stuck with them. the Office of Public Guardian has sent new forms and we have to do it all again and pay direct (again). We cannot get hold of them via phone or email. More concerning is our fathers Will, large investments and property is all tied up in this farce of a company. We will be getting a solicitor. DO NOT USE.

Sadly I had to give it one star rating when this shoddy Company doesn't even deserve this!
Unknowingly to me, they contacted my elderly Mum early Spring 2021 to advise that The Will Writing Company had gone into Liquidation (Mum had her will with TWWC). They persuaded her to take out a Last Power of Attorney & Enduring Power of Attorney and they would update her Will for free.
You can't get through to this shoddy Company, they also ignore emails. We finally received the LPA four days ago, but no sign of the EPA and a copy of her Will. Please avoid this Company. They are not registered with the FOC or any professional bodies.
It has cost my Mum over £800 and I'm concerned.
Companies House web site state this cowboy company have moved address and appear to be still trading.
I'm not happy and very concerned. I wish Mum had gone to a trusted and well established local Solicitor. This Company prey on the vulnerable avoid at all costs.

Do not go near this company no communication have been so frustrated trying to contact them drove 2 hrs to get to their offices to find no one been their for weeks.

I asked them to do some conveyancing, and paid their agreed fee. Six months on, I do not know whether the job has been done (my cheque has been cashed) and Philips do not reply to emails or paper letters, and their phone is always Busy. I cannot then find out what my situation is.

In June of 2018, I contacted Phil Kelly and Phil Jackson of Taylor Rose with a view to setting up wills, lasting powers of attorney and a will trust fund for myself, my wife Patricia and my daughter Laura.

I met with Phil Kelly again in November 2018 who told me that everything was going to be done under Philips Trust as they were part of the Taylor Rose group We set things in motion at a total cost of £2395 for everything, including the transfer of two of our properties into joint names (they are currently in my wife’s name only), the estimated completion date being March 2019.

I have received an email from Taylor Rose stating,

"I am sorry if you were advised that Philips Trust Corporation were part of Taylor Rose TTKW as this has never been the case. Philips Trust Corporation is a separate company and used to refer work to the Lichfield branch of Taylor Rose TTKW, however in this instance I cannot see that our firm ever opened a file or began any work".

My wife informed me that everything had arrived in the summer of 2019 but when I examined all of the documents, I realised that the will and trust were only in draft form. In effect, we only had the four lasting powers of attorney completed.

I contacted Phil Kelly about this (he now works for yet another firm) and he put me in touch with James Masters of Philips Trust. When I eventually got to contact Mr Masters, he informed me that all of our paperwork had been mislabelled “completed” or "No review needed" during their move to Manchester and they could not complete the transfer of properties into joint names any more.

He offered me a refund of £1157 which I find slightly bemusing as it means that the four lasting powers of attorney have cost me £1238 (in my opinion the wills are useless as they mention a trust that at the time did not exist) which I could have obtained from the Co Op for £450 all in.

Obviously, after two and a half years of this disgraceful farce, and now being in the situation of sorting transfer of ownership of properties by myself, I think you can guess that my review is unfavourable.

Do not even consider using this firm, I cannot believe that any modern day company could be so utterly dysfunctional and inefficient.

Don't go with this company, they are impossible to contact once they have your money. The action group on Facebook are a great group full of self help info.

Do not trust this company, last June 2021 they contacted me and advised me that my will wanted updating so they arranged a zoom call due to the covid
Pandemic, me and my wife gave them all our requirements, and they also arranged for power of attorney, we arranged payment for all this, we have received documents for us to sign and return, the last we heard from them last September 2021, I have tried making contact to see if we have wills and documents for power of attorney, but not been able to get in touch with anyone. My advice keep clear of them

Disgraceful! I am at a loss for words, not able to make contact with them to make arrangements to remove them as trustees for my late father's estate. we consider he was mis-sold the trust as he had already made provision in his Will but had forgotten. There was no advice for him to check whether he had a will and he was never encouraged to have a family member present when he took out the trust. They have taken advantage of an elderly gentleman and we are now dealing with the consequences.

Stay away from this company they are con artists l trusted with my home and my life’s savings and they can’t even answer the phone or e mails they all need putting in Jail for fraud get on Facebook join the action group l have just asked the other members of the group to bombard Kay Collins the so called director with e mails and she might answer one of them and let a lot of worried people know what she is going to do about this situation she hasn’t answered one of my e mails she won’t pay my monthly drawdown money which l rely on to pay my bills to me it’s theft that is my money not hers Time she put this company into receivership at least we would know what is happening she should be ashamed of herself treating hard working people like this

I used to work for PTC. When I started they were under management of somebody else. during that time they underwent a management buy out and were took over by the current directors. Thats when things changed.
I left because the service level dropped and i got a strong impression that the management were not interested in the client s and only cared about how much they could get out of everybody. This lead to practices that were imorral in my opinion. That and for 3 consecutive months, wages were paid late giving concern to the companies financial position.
Since that time, many clients have contacted me with serious concerns overt the way they have been treat by PTC and I have been told by an old client that the company is now under invstigation. I cannot confirm this is true.

AVOID PTC AT ALL COSTS!!!

I would also like to apologise for any clients of mine that i met while working there. Had I known that the company was going to go this way I would have never advised you to work with them and I deeply regret associating myself with PTC.

Be very careful using this company. We have been luckier that most as we used them for wills and POA but are still waiting for completion 1 year on. They have taken our money but not completed the job and now unable to contact anyone - emails are ignored, phone constantly engaged. Total lack of care or consideration for their customers who put their trust in them.

Please do not use this company. Avoid like the plague. I have money in a Trust with them, that I cannot get out. In January 2020, I wanted some money out for a new kitchen. Excuses followed, the builders arrived in June, still no money, so I had to borrow the money off my brother. I got half the money I requested (in January) in July 2020, and the other half in December 2020. I am now trying to get the rest of my money out, but they are not responding to emails, to letters, and the 4 phone numbers I have are continually engaged. Even at midnight!
So don’t use this company……

My mum passed away 2 years ago and after employing a solicitor and investigator after going back and forth with Phillips Trust being ignored for over 18 months my daughter in law has found that Paul David Niland was a Director of Family Trust Companies house website: Company 07430382 . Along with ‘’NILAND, Lewis William David’’ and ‘’MASTERS, James Neil’’, who both seem to have worked for Phillips Trust and Family Trust, have what it seems launched Will Writing Limited to do the same thing: trustpilot.com - willwritinglimited.co.uk and webpage says “ In association with The Family Trust Corporation, we have provided estate planning services for thousands of people across the UK and have grown from strength to strength.’’ Stay away from these people if you value your money. Dangerous people please please stay away!!! For anyone having problems with these companies FIND ON FACEBOOK ACTION GROUP PHILIPS TRUST CORPORATION.

Do not use this company for any reason! Unregulated, Unprofessional, Uncaring.
This disgraceful company approached my family to take over 3 x trusts when the Family Trust Corporation 'went out of business'. They seemed to know what they were talking about and appeared to have a good name. Once we paid their fee (Jan 2018) - we were told it would take 6-8 weeks (well before Covid problems) for the transfer to take place from FTC to PTC - However 18 months later nothing had happened. When queried with them, then challenged as we weren't getting any straight answers - they then tried to charge us £1K for the privilege answering said questions & emails. We have had to instruct solicitors to deal with PTC at great cost- who also have immense difficulties getting anywhere with these charlatans, and who have also been astounded by this companies unprofessionalism.
They have caused a great deal of upset, stress, & anxiety - believe me....you do not want to go down the route of using their services. I guarantee you will regret it!
I can't give less than 1 star review - I so wish i could.

Unresponsive. No customer service. Lied to constantly. It took over two years and many times banging our heads to get some of our late Mothers trust money. I guess we are the very lucky ones. But the pain and emotional suffering on all the family has been horrific.

Do not trust this company. i am one of the lucky ones getting most of my mums money from them. It tuck two years, a lot of time and hard work, being lied to constantly. saying the delays where not there fault. but I had contact with the company's holding my mums money, they tell told that it was the trust not doing things correctly. Two years of stress.
So please do not use them.

We have been trying for the past year to get the money from our parent's trust from this company. I would highly recommend to everyone not to trust this company. Everyone seems to be having the same issues. They do not return any request or communication. We have had a solicitor act on our behalf, and they have also not received any reply. We are now going to start court proceedings against them.

Phillips Trust was initially very good and the people we were dealing with were efficient and professional. But then recently everything has gone silent and it is very worrisome. We need to sell the house in the Trust to sustain our mothers needs and we can’t get any answers at the moment.
