The products are superb and good value…

The products are superb and good value for the quality of meat. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is due to the poor performance of DPD on the delivery as they didn’t even get the correct street, I then had to go hunting for my parcel. When I reported the issue to Pipers they were very helpful and refunded my delivery charge. I will be using them again.

avoid the beef wellington!

quite poor! my Christmas delivery arrived but obviously wasnt packaged properly - chicken breasts had started to defrost as had the beef wellington, the beef wellington had liquid all over it from the meat - i was advised it was fine to refreeze. and was give £20 voucher back. had the beef wellington on Christmas day - total disappointment hardly and beef - both ends were packed out with mushrooms and was extremely salty!

Lovely meat

we had turkey legs on the bone and one boned and rolled. all were great, the boned one being particularly easy to carve and all remained moist, I used a meat thermometer because they are easy to overcook. The turkey stock was a little light in flavour because it was just bones and water, I would have added carrots/leeks/onion etc but that's my personal preference.

Worst customer service ever

I have never written a review on Trustpilot before but I had to come on here and add to the disappointed customers over Christmas and New Year so that other people don’t end up in the same situation. We have ordered several times from Piper’s Farm and the quality has always been good. But this Christmas we ordered our goose and cheese board from them to arrive on the 23rd. When it arrived late in the day it did so without any of the cheese at all - no email to let us know, no advance warning and - at that time - no notice of a refund. I then had to spend ages trying to call the company, but could never get through and racing around town with small children and elderly parents in law in tow with almost no time to try to get the things we needed for our Christmas Day (we weren’t able to - everything good had of course been bought already).

Obviously mistakes sometimes happen (and looking at Trustpilot it looks like it happened to a LOT of people this Christmas!) but there is simply no need for them to happen with such appalling customer service. I wasn’t able to reach them all day on the phone, I tried chat, email and even Instagram but have still not had an explanation/apology. I have received an automated refund (so they clearly know they screwed us over right before Christmas) and have also rather ironically been emailed by the company to leave my feedback so here it is- I am deeply frustrated and would go so far as to say appalled by their customer service.

A company can make mistakes but when it does it should put its hands up and explain/apologise - especially when someone has specifically requested a response as I have, and especially when in this case it’s for something like Christmas where things have been ordered well in advance and are so high stakes. Piper’s Farm’s customer service couldn’t be worse at this point. How sad. I won’t be ordering from them again, and unless you’re fine with not knowing whether your stuff will actually arrive or not (in which case it seems like you won’t hear from them about it) I suggest you don’t either.

Terrible service, they don’t deliver on the dates they confirm, you then have to chase them for your money back.
Customer service are rude, wouldn’t recommend, look elsewhere.

Poor standards

Just like another reviewer - our beef Wellington we paid £135 for turned out to be Salmon Wellington on the day, ruining Christmas dinner. It was even fully packaged as Beef fillet so we didn’t know until cutting it open. Although we received a refund (sans postage), much like the other reviewer we received a half hearted apology, and a pointlessly small discount off my next order. Won’t be ordering again from company with such a poor level of food hygiene and control.

When I cut into my Beef Wellington on…

When I cut into my Beef Wellington on Christmas Day it was not beef but salmon. I was very disappointed and complained to Pipers. They apologised and refunded the payment but not the postage, which I had to request. I would have preferred a replacement but that was not offered. The problem seemed to be in the labelling but I felt a perfunctory apology and a refund was not enough to continue ordering from them.

Ordered from here for the first time before Christmas. Ordered beef shin, and short ribs, cooked both in the slow cooker and shredded to make birria tacos. Amazing. Had to keep “testing it”

Didn’t fulfil my new years order

Didn’t fulfil my new years order. Ordered in advance and had a call the day before to say they would be unable to deliver the food I ordered for our New Year’s Day roast. Left with a day to sort good quality meat for 8 people!!
I understand that they are refunding but how long will this take? Putting me £50 out of pocket just after Christmas to try and sort

A taste sensation!

I ordered a taster selection of meat from Pipers Farm and used the roasting joint for guests after Christmas. Always concerned about over cooking it and losing the medium/rare quality , I followed their online instructions; the result was perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth beef. My guests couldn’t get over how tender it was. I will be using this company again.

This was my first time of ordering from you and I will now definitely be ordering again. We had beef Wellington and an unsmoked ham. Both were excellent, the beef was supposed to be for 2 but there was some left for Boxing day. We have been passing on your site to friends and family, one tried to order a beef Wellington but you were sold out!

Found Pipers farm through social media…

Found Pipers farm through social media . Ordered for the first time for a few products for Christmas . The meat we ordered was first class and didn’t disappoint on Christmas Day . The chutneys and cranberry sauce was on another . Delivery time was great and was informed every step of the way . Will definitely be using again thank you .

Fantastic 3kg unsmoked ham

Fantastic 3kg unsmoked ham. Delicious - followed instrustions of soaking overnight, 1st boil , 2nd boil in water, onion, carrot, celery & spices (pepper, bayleaves, cloves & star anise)rather than my usual boiling in cranberry & apple juice. Gorgeous, tender, flavoured ham not salty at all. Still enjoying with bubble & squeak - pea & ham soup made with stock from boil - and ham, leek & mustard quiche! fantastic value

Ordered beef for Xmas day

Ordered beef for Xmas day, smoked gammon, sausages and bacon. The topside beef was exceptional, roasted at the recommended temperature and 15 mins per 500g, carving like butter and the taste was sublime, highly recommended. Gammon cooked the day before and we have hardly any left as everyone loves it, so some went home with them. Breakfast was bacon and sausages for those who wanted that and both the bacon and sausages were perfect. Every year we buy from pipers and they have not let us down once, try them you will not be disappointed.

This was our 5th or 6th occasion that we chose rib of beef from Pipers Farm.
What luscious gorgeous tasting beef.
You can always rely on pipers for top quality and excellent delivery times.
I should mention their wonderful beef stock as it makes fabulous gravy.

Really good choice of products

Really good choice of products, delivery arrived quickly and still frosty if not completely frozen. The duck breasts were huge, well cut and great quality.
