i brought a brand new laptop an within 6 months it broke down an kept shutting down by its self an sometimes could not b turned back on. so i took to ple and they found a problem with it store an then they sent it away to be fixed by their technicians an then i got a call 4 weeks later an they said there was nothing wrong with laptop an would send the laptop back after doing nothing at all to it an then after another 4 weeks i finally got it back again then ple said if it happens again i would have to record the problem an send the laptop back to them b fixed an it would take another 4 to 8 weeks to fix
what a joke PLE COMPUTERS IS.
i also asked for a replacement or a refund an they they cant do that. an after i got it back it lasted 2 weeks before it started playing up again doing the same thing an its even worse after i got it back the laptop is very slow an the memory does not go under 35% even when i just started the laptop an done nothing . an also now the battrey wont charge as well so i contacked ple an told them the problems where alot worse an they said i will have to send it back to get fixed an tell them an show proof of the problems . ive only got 4 months left on warranty so i think ther waiting till it runs out so then they can charge me to get fixed .

Well built but poor performance from a well specified laptop. Very concerning when I get better performance from my lesser specified, 5 year old laptop although to be fair the XPS 13 (2020) was a beast of a laptop.
Problems I've encountered: * Flickering screen when mains connected. * 3-5 second lag for icons to appear when opening explorer windows. * Computer crashing when copying from folder to folder. (file sizes weren't even big) * No point having good speakers (Harmon Kardon) if you put them in a stupid place.
Disappointing Service and Misdiagnosis at PLE
I had a terrible experience with PLE regarding a PC issue I needed resolved urgently. After paying $99 for a diagnosis and 99 for unnesessary disassembly, I was incorrectly told my motherboard was the culprit, only to find out later it was a CPU problem.
Here's the breakdown:
I was initially informed there was no DDR4/AM4 motherboard in stock, but the real issue was with the CPU.
I had to buy a new motherboard for $289 AUD from another store, only to discover the issue persisted, confirming it was indeed the CPU.
After sorting the issue myself by installing a new CPU, I returned to PLE where they refunded only the diagnostic fee but not the additional costs or time I spent.
Their follow-up response was inadequate, the additional expenses I incurred, or the time wasted. They only mentioned testing with their components but didn't address the compensation for my unnecessary expenses and efforts.
Faulty Prebuilt Computers x2
Their prebuilt computers blue screen right out of the box. This is the second time. Their customer service said they'll need to have the computer for a few months to fix it. These people do not deserve your money.
Great if you know what you are doing
Bought parts to build my own pc and all of them arrived on time and in like-new condition. As long as you are moderately tech literate you should have no problems.

I ordered Ram and paid for express shipping, $21. I ordered and paid on Thursday at 4 pm, but there was no shipping on Saturday when I checked my account. I rang the store and was told the order was on its way. On Monday, there was still no shipping, and there was nothing in my account about the item.

Customer service was terrible. They didn't help to fix the issue that I am having with my computer. They took ages to respond to questions that I had like 4 days in one instance. Then charged me the diagnostic fee even though they didn't find the problem.

We urgently needed a new PC as a solution for some data analytics job - went there on a Sunday, took the parts & mounted the PC. The components did not work.
Monday Morning: phone call, got told that we should bring the complete built PC, and it would be a dead on arrival repair, that can be checked in 10 mins.
Monday Afternoon: got told we need to pay 100 AUD for the service, and it would be done by the next day lateset
Monday Late Afternoon: called to make sure we have the PC the next day - we got told that we did not pay for an express fee of 50 AUD (no one told us that) and it needs 2 weeks. Jumped online to order other components from an online store to be sure we have the components. Picked up PC from PLE to test it by ourselves.
Tuesday: identified that the motherboard is broken. Went back to PLE - got told it was our fault as we put the CPU wrong in (note, we built hundreds of PCs). Not much empathy, needed to go online and order the replacements from MSY online store.
It's sad that when you want to stay with local stores and pay 300 AUD more to be sure to have the service. Instead we had to order a backup system. Three trips to the store to deal with the wrong information told by phone. It's annoying when you have thought you choose to buy from them because it's local, need to order online to have backup and to get the job done; discoverrd UMART and MSY WA and their local warehouses in the meanwhile. Thanks to MSY we got the parts that we needed urgently! Next time we buy directly from there, which would have saved us hundreds of $.

Magnificent PLE Custom PC
My 12 yrs old PC started to freeze... and therefore I have decided to replace it.
It is possible to order on line PC and I looked at Dell and Lenovo but finally decided to order it from local PLE at Osborne Park.
To get all my preferred components and spec I visited store at Osborne Park on last Monday. With a great assistance from Mr Brock I placed an order and by Friday my PC was ready for pickup. The new PC is unbelievable fast in comparison to the old one and I am happy that PLE assembled it at only around $150 with 2yr warranty (+ all component costs).
I am very greatfull for assistance and communication from Mr Brock.
Based on my experience I would recommend the PLE store at Osborne Park to other customers.
Poor Technical Service
My Son bought his PC, which he put together. It is still under manufacturer warranty. He went it to ask them to look at the GPU as it wasn't performing as expected. They did some reconfiguring and software updates and said the problem is fixed. Bring the PC home it was worse than what it was before. My son will be taking it back for the fourth time, only because it is still under warranty. This time I will be going with him. DO NOT BELEIVE THEY ARE EXPERTS.

Services and builds take longer than quoted. This business sells your place in the queue to anyone who pays for it. ETA’s and availability keep changing and Cam will smugly tell you that there is no record of any ETA.
PLE advertise false availability
PLE have advertised false availability on numerous occasions, and once your order is in, the status can change to awaiting stock even when it was In-Stock at the time of payment.
PLE's website is inaccurate and defaults to cheapest options for them, and not for the customer.
In my case, the product was advertising free delivery from WA Warehouse as it was not available in the VIC Warehouse. Even though I ordered with 'Add to Cart' and not 'Pre-Order' button the delivery was changed to pre-order from VIC Warehouse.
Also, note that usually, you aren't given the option to even order from another state's warehouse, and a 'Pre-Order' button is shown.
This is not the first time I've had this issue with PLE.
I ordered a GPU last year and it was clearly In-Stock, but after three business days, I was on pre-order. When I called they made a lame excuse of just missing out, but it was showing In-Stock for the three days on the website at purchase. The real reason was that the price was increased following the promotion.
I've had the same bad experience with Rosman Computing and they went bankrupt soon after; tardiness in service is a reflection of mismanagement and is unsustainable. In business your reputation is everything.
Buy at PC Case Gear, Scorptec, Centrecom, UMART, BPCTech, PCByte, Mighty Ape, jw.com.au,and other reliable vendors to get your bargains; honestly, it's not worth the hassle of chasing up an order just for the sake of 5% savings - $15 on a $250 item.
When a consumer makes a purchase and feels that they snagged a bargain, they should have a pleasant experience of prompt processing and delivery.
A consumer's time and peace of mind is worth more than the short term and marginal increase in profit by taking advantage of an artificial spike in demand.
They lie just to take your money
I bought a memory card but it was out of stock in a store. Cam told me that it will take 1 week to do an inter-store transfer.
I followed up after a week but I was told I would need to wait for another week. I was told that the Cam didn't check to see whether or not we were due to receive stock. Since they're due to receive stock sooner then WA would be able to get it transferred over so they don't transfer.
This is disappointing which has caused me a lot of downtime waiting for the product to arrive.
