Such a handy little hair accessory. I was always curious about Pony-O but couldn't get myself to spend the extra money. I am so glad they had an overstock sale and I finally decided to buy. Buy 3 get 1 free. I got 3 Pony O XL Slim and an original Pony O for about 20 dollars including the shipping. This thing does not budge. Secure hold with no crease or tangles which usually happens with other hair ties since I have long, thick wavy/curly hair. Hoping to try a bun bar next. :)

Pony-O is a truly new and improved hair “clasp”. The first one other than a fabric scrunchie that doesn’t damage my hair. Those “phone cord” hair bands that claim they don’t damage hair really cause breakage and Pony-O doesn’t. Pony-O also holds my hair all day and looks great! It is truly a great product. I’ve bought several to give away and I’m sure those recipients will become future customers.

I love my Pony-O! I love having long hair, and Hate damage. This is the only hair accessory I have not had the need to redo my hair. It took a little learning to get it right, but the hold is amazing, and my curls don't have to worry about damage!

I wear the pony-o hair tie every single day since I have bought it - it is the best thing I have ever bought for my hair. So simple to put it in and I am loving experimenting with different styles - it isnt jsut a pony tail fix - I have done buns, french twist, part up part down.... I have ordered my sister a load and my friends also - everyone should own one.

Sadly, I don't have a lot of hair and on top of that, it's extremely fine and thin. So you can only imagine how skinny and boring my ponytails look. Since using the Pony-O, my hair looks sooo much better and fuller! I was hesitant to try it because I thought it would slip right off my hair however, if put in correctly, it stays put all day. Even after working out! I can do several different hairstyles with it and have zero issues. I love how it easily holds my hair on top of my head and gives me the cutest ponytail. The only thing I do notice though, is that my scalp can hurt sometimes when I wear it up all day however, the Pony-O does NOT rip out or damage your hair like elastics do! I can truly say it's given me my confidence back! I am so limited to the type of hairstyles I can do with my hair type so this is a must-have in my life!

I really wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing this product. I watched reviews online but all the girls who used this had either thin or hair no longer than their shoulders. I should have taken that into consideration. I have suuuper thick hair that is also incredibly long. I ordered the larger size Pony O, as well as the bun bar and 2 of the Ponyo meant for sectioning your hair. None of these work. I can't even do a simple pony tail much less anything cute or extravagant. Everything falls out the second after I put up my hair. It can't withstand any sort of movement. Once I move from the bathroom to the couch, it's already completely disconnected from my head. I am very disappointed in this product. Huge waste of money and time. Even if you do return it, you still have to cover shipping and they don't refund for your original shipping either.

I bought a pony-o and one of the bunbarz and really like them. I have a lot of fine, straight hair, and this definitely makes my ponytail look fuller. I struggle to keep my hair in a high pony usually because the bobble normally slides out after an hour or so. With the pony-o, I wore it all day with little/no movement, and it didn't hurt or tug on my hair. The only negative is the shipping charge to the UK, but the company won't have any say in that. To be honest, I have had items in and out of my basket for months because I couldn't justify the postage if the items ended up being rubbish, but in the end, curiosity got the better of me and I am glad it did.

Ignore the bad reviews people obviously aren't using them correctly- watch the tutorials - pony o stays in all day keeps hair in a high pony and holds well

I was excited to use this product after reading the claims of secure holding, particularly as I run and use the gym. No way would this hold up to any activity at all. At best it makes a limp looking ponytail on my long hair and very quickly sags and slips out. A few shakes of my head and it has totally slipped out. It arrives in very cheap packaging, and from my experience is just an overpriced scam and in order to return it you are responsible for shipping both ways. Take heed. Do not waste your money, your regular hair tie was doing just fine.

Update: the response below from Pony-O is perhaps an example of their customer service. My purchase was in June 2021, directly from their site. Order number #2163 on 9 June 2021! I have an order number and confirmation emails from them and a reply from “Nicol the creator” saying return it if you’re not happy (at my expense). Nowhere in my review do I suggest I can see the metal or it’s broken - it is simply ineffective from the first use.

Second update in Response to Pony-o - the product is original, it is from the UK site distributor and I have all the email chains and order confirmations and references. The product I am reviewing is a legitimate Pony-o, confirmed today I. August 2022 about my order in June 2021

So excited to receive this product and, whilst it arrived quickly, I am really disappointed with the results. It is difficult to put in, does not hold the hair at all and looks a floppy mess within 5 minutes of just sitting on the couch. No way this would stand up to any gym activity at all. Awaiting a reply from customer services regarding a refund but having seen other people’s reviews on here I am not overly hopeful.

Have now a little collection of the pony O pony O 2 and the bun barz. I use them and so do my two daughters we absolutely love them. They stay in for the gym and all day and it has stopped endless breaking of elastic bands and kids hair getting stuck resulting in hair breakage. Couldn’t be happier and sure will be ordering more colours soon.

I had ordered one item, and clicked through the pages until I realised too late that the shipping costs and tax charges (which the website does ask you to check) were too much to justify my order.
It was put through, so I emailed their support team. Alejandra responded the same day (very politely), confirming the cancellation of my order and the money was back in my account the next day. Hopefully everyone else has the same experience with their support team :)

I got 3 PonyO & the cute little accessory for them. So far they are my favourite 😍 my headaches dropped and it’s very comfy. Although I have very long and heavy hair so after a few hours of use it can get a little lower than it was but sure it’s an easy fix 🥰 Thank you ❤️‍🔥

This is a scam. Don’t buy this product. They don’t work as described and you will waste your money.

They’re not great to be honest.
I have fine hair and I bought 3 different ones hoping one would work for me. But no, they all slip out, the pony doesn’t sit high enough and I’ve gone back to my covered elastic bands now.
Not worth the money.

Update after response from Pony O saying I have been taken in by a knock off Chinese company.
This is my order details from them.

I know there are many companies selling fake ones for a lot cheaper, but your websites says it’s an official stockist of the original Pony O.

I am debating whether or not to return them.

Pony Os accessories are the best EVER!! I love them very much. They hold my hair and my roots do not hurt. Plus accessories are very beautiful. They come in very handy. It’s my new obsession. I will continue on buying forever. So glad they came up with this.

Much like many of the other reviews, I too ordered the Pony-O 2.0 and Bun Bar, and was horribly displeased with the wonky results. The Pony O doesn’t hold hair well, and slips throughout the day. The Bun Bar is trash, and doesn’t hold a circle, and has a giant hole in the bottom of the bun. Customer service is useless, and my $40 is down the drain. These literally infuriate me while trying to get them to work, and I was sold on how much easier it would be to wear a bun.

I was impressed with the concept and was so excited to try out the variations of Pony-O / 2.0 / XL and Bun Barz that I ordered ~$40 worth of products with $7 of shipping cost. It is unfortunate to say that I was hugely disappointed - both with the products and the (lack of) service provided. I followed the purchase recommendation on Pony-O's website along with every instruction that came in my package as well as online tutorials, but the products just could not hold my hair together. I have thick hair that is not larger than the size of a golf ball when gathered (benchmark recommended on Pony-O's website for picking out size). But regardless of the size of Pony-O I try or how hard I "squeeze" (again as instructed), my ponytail would sag with all my hair falling seriously out of place within just the half hour - even simply sitting around without being in activities that required much head movements. This situation applied to both high- and mid-position ponytails I attempted. And the advertised claim of Pony-O's not leaving marks in one's hair is simply not true.

The Bun Barz is also difficult to manipulate in the sense that the ends of the bar wouldn't "close" properly to hold my bun into a neat and perfectly round "loop". Instead, there would always be a hole at the bottom of my bun because the ends of the bar couldn't be sealed together. And with the Pony-O / Pony2.0 wrapped inside the Bun Barz falling loose every minute, my bun just kept turning into a saggy mess of hair hanging on the lower back of my head.

The worst part was when I attempted to reach out to Pony-O's customer service to address the issues, my inquiry was ignored! There is no place on Ponyo.com to leave a customer review, so I am not sure how Pony-O obtained / selected the 5-star reviews displayed on its website.
