I’ve gone from giving this a one star review to a 5 star review. Why? Because I was doing it wrong. I had a moan on the Pony O Facebook page and almost immediately one of their customer service reps messaged me with a detailed yet simple method in which to use the band. Prior to this my pony tail would slip out or fall loose within minutes and with little movement. So I wasn’t impressed especially as I’d purchased some glam accessories to go with the pony o band.
Anyway once I applied the correct method it’s been fantastic. Doesn’t hurt my head or strain my hair. Stays put all day. Pony looks fab and full.
So thank you to ‘Maria’ on Facebook for your advice and help.

I was intrigued by these as I have naturally curly, fine hair that lacks volume and falls flat easily. I was finding normal bands were damaging my hair too and wanted to try something different as I cba to wear my hair down every day.
I ordered 3 regular ponyos and one of the thinner bands for half up, half down styles. They took a while to arrive due to shipping and covid, but I will never go back to regular hair bands now! They are excellent and give my ponytail an oomph, hold well too. I gave one to my sister who is now also converted. If you aren't sure, go for it- They really are brilliant!

Finding products that work with chronic illness is so important… whether it’s my teen son or myself putting my hair in every morning, it stays put and comfortable without dislocating my fingers and even stays put during naps!! No headaches or knotty hair from tight hair ties! Thank you Pony-o

FYI I have fine silky hair but a lot of it. I use both sizes one for all my hair and also love the smaller ones did disco buns and plaits.

My daughter is 13 and is always getting asked about her “hair thing” as it gives her brilliant hold and volume - looking classy and stylish everyday!

I was interested in Pony O for a while and I am so glad I tried them! My pony tail had so much volume, my hair didn’t pull and it lasted all day. I love it so much and can’t wait to try out more products!!

The products don’t work like advertised. I watched the instruction videos and tried so hard to make it work.
Did I really pay E40 on total trash? Yes I did and I feel like an idiot now.

I'm in love!!
I was skeptical at first but I ended up buying the Pony-O, the 2.0 and the bun bar and I love them! No more headaches or pulled hair, and my bun is perfect for working out! %100 recommended!

After seeing ads for the Pony-O everywhere, I finally decided to buy one. I saw a few reviews saying that they needed to practice to make it work, and they were right! There's definitely a trick to getting it to sit right, but after a few tries I got a good placement.

I ended up going to the beach where it was windy and I was swimming for over an hour. I was absolutely shocked that the Pony-O did not budge at all!! I still had a great ponytail of the water, and my hair actually dried quicker too because of the water the Pony-O spreads out your hair.

I have very thin hair but I like having my hair up in a ponytail without pulling my hair skintight against my head. The Pony-O does it all! Not only is the actual ponytail volumised but I can leave my hair a bit looser on top of my head.

Can't recommend this product enough!!

I have long very thick hair. Rubber brands break in my hair and sometime I wear more than 1 to hold my hair. After all day of my hair being up, once I take my hair down, it physically hurts, because I have so much hair so I do a lot of low ponytails. I was skeptical about this product but I am sooooo very excited I tried it. For the first time EVER, I wore my hair up high all day at work and when I took my hair down which was so quick and easy my hair didn't hurt at all. I still can't believe it. Also I didn't have a crease it my hair!! No more hair breakage or dealing with rubber bands. This was a hair game changer for me. Now I'm just waiting on the red to come so I can put in another order!!!

I’m going to be really honest here.
Half a year ago I bought pony-o duplicates from a different company and they were not successful and I threw them in the trash.
Now, this is my second purchase from Pony-O and I have almost stopped using any other type of bands, very recommended!

Perfect for thicker hair! Doesn’t hurt my head and stayed in all day!

I bought the Pony-O, the Pony 2.0 and the bun bar and I couldn't be happier with the results! My hair is really thick and about 23 inches long and all 3 products hold it up perfectly. Even on the treadmill there's no upsetting that bun!

I have crazy thick hair and most ponytail holders give me a hair headache after a short time. They also droop/sag which is frustrating. I gave ponyo a shot and am so glad I did! Both of those issues are solved! I was struggling a bit with my bun bar, but after my zoom with Shannon, I figured out my issue! ahhhhhh for my head now! All my hair is up and out of my way without any pins digging in! I will definitely be ordering more for my daughter and son who both have long, heavy hair! Thanks, ponyo, for a great product. I read a ton of reviews, good and bad, before buying these. I’m definitely glad I bought them though. There’s a learning curve, and I had to experiment several times with the Pony-O and the bun bar before getting the great hold but once I learned they were great. No headache, very little hair falls at the end of the day, and unlike with other types of hair ties it’s one and done. Up in the morning and down at night instead of up and down every few hours. My hair is thick, wavy, heavy, layered, and hangs to the middle of my back if that helps anyone decide.

I was a skeptic about purchasing but so WORTH IT! 👌 My hair is heavy and pony tails would hurt me. But the pony o is a game changer. it stays all day and my head doesn't hurt. Blown away!
The bun bar is also ah-mazing. I'm still learning and might face time. Customer service is 👌 and I love how they value every single customer. Keep it up guys! So happy I found you!

Kiki was AMAZING!!! We did a FaceTime session and she showed me what I was doing wrong with my Pony-O.
First, I can’t believe that this company offers LIVE FaceTime sessions!!! I’m blown away at that!
Second, Pony-O hair ties are simply the best! No competition!! Love this company so so much!!!

Where to start, i first saw Pony-o on Instagram and followed their page i thought the idea and products looked great as when i tie my hair up its long so usually flops to one side or slumps down. I originally searched on eBay and bought what i thought was a genuine Pony-o it was too stiff to bend and the result wasn't great after later seeing that they only sell through their own website i realised i had a fake so i ordered a selection of various colours and sizes of Pony-o from the Pony-o website on the buy 3 get one free offer.
I had these shipped to the UK which cost around £4 in shipping fees and took around a week to arrive which really impressed me. It also surprised me that there we no additional customs fees which i was happy with.

The product in my hair is amazing, its soft to touch yet grips and bends effortlessly. It was really easy to get the hang of getting the band into position and bending it in place, it stays put and keeps my hair central i no longer have my half up half down hair style flopped to one side.

I will certainly continue to follow Pony-o on social media to keep up to date with their products for many future purchases.

I purchased the Pony-O and Bun Barz as a random pandemic bordem buy in early spring 2020. I had been seeing ads on Facebook and thought, why not give it a try?! I did this with many other items as well (the vast majority were a terrible let down).

Pony-O was BY FAR my favorite and most used purchase to date! The colors are *exactly* like what is pictured on their website. The items are super easy to use. It was a blessing in disguise as I ended up losing half my hair after contracting to Covid-19 in fall 2020. These nifty gadgets made my ponytail look full and thick, which was the confidence booster I needed when I went back to work.

The Bun Barz is easier to use than a sock or sponge for that cute "ballerina" bun.

Both the traditional Pony-O and Bun Barz are very versatile in creating nearly effortless hairstyles, whether classy or casual. They hold up my waist-length hair for 10+ hours, no problem. In fact, I use the bun barz on damp hair to create "lazy girl curls" the next day.. It's so comfortable I can sleep in it!

The website is easy to navigate and my items were well package. Now that a lot of my hair has grown back, I'd love to try the newer XL band and a skinny band for half ponytails. I'm on a cheer and dance team for semi-pro football and I always get compliments on my super high cheerleader ponytail. I just wish it came in red! Lol
