Don't expect correct advice.. just a sale

Called up to check stock of battery for a Sportster 883. Quoted reg of bike - first found one that had terminals around the wrong way (so clearly didn't check the correct battery) then found one "that would fit" with the terminals corrtectly positioned for a HD Sportster.

Not even close to the right size, and of course it was the customers fault for not checking the right size of the battery. (despite calling in advance).
Refund not an option as battery filled.

I'm sure they are great for scooters and 125's but don't ask for advice if you need help for a motorbike.

The exact reason why people prefer to go online rather than taking a gamble on a salesman.

Fantastic service

This is a highly recommended shop the staff in the shop are very friendly and very willing to help with any problem be it clothing or your bike and everything is very reasonably priced. customer service is 2nd to none It’s a great place to go for your first bike too.

Couldn't thank the staff enough for the work on my scooter best service I have ever received, my scooter was done in few days of dropping off cause they had to order parts, very polite staff and helpful

Not all bad, but wouldn’t go here again.

This is a business that doesn’t always behave in a way that most customers would expect.
Our daughter agreed to purchase a nearly new bike, but having read some pretty awful reviews I was a bit hesitant and so for added security I wanted to pay by card. However when I phoned to pay I was told the card machine was not working. They gave no assurance as to if or when it would be fixed and it seemed clear to me that they simply do not want to accept card payment. By then my daughter was doing her CBT on the bike and I was told that if I would not pay by bank transfer they would stop the CBT and recover the bike. Given that we had the bike I felt reasonably safe to make the payment so reluctantly agreed.
Later the same day my daughter had a mishap doing her CBT, with the bike falling on her, hurting her leg and breaking one of the mirrors and the clutch lever. Poole Moto (compassionately I thought) said they would sort the bike, but some days later, when my daughter booked to finish her CBT they wanted payment of £34.94 saying they were only charging for the parts, not labour. Now that is not unreasonable, except that they had not mentioned charging or advised me as to what the charge would be. When I pointed this out they were - as seems to be their typical response when challenged - not very pleasant and, they said words to the effect ‘we’ll take the parts off again if you don’t pay’.
A good business will always tell you what you will be charged and why before the work is undertaken. If I had known we were going to be charged I would have considered sourcing the parts myself.
In their favour, they were helpful in arranging a second CBT session at a reduced rate.
Poole Moto can be helpful and pleasant, but have weaknesses in the way they deal with customers and do not like being challenged.

simply awful.

Called the shop on a Thursday morning to order an item. A mechanic picked up and seemed confuses when I askes to order something. He left the phone on the side whilst he got someone else. After to listening to the mechanics chat for a while someone came on who seemed like he knew what he was doing. Found the item and took my payment. I asked specifically for next day delivery I am happy to pay extra for it. No problems he replied and added the delivery onto the total. Nothing arrived friday or saturday and I even gave them benefit of the doubt and waited for monday but no luck. Called monday evening to be told the same person wasnt in but he would call me asap in the morning. Even after calling them myself to jog their memories they still havnt called back. Ridiculously bad customer service and attitude. I advise you take your money elsewhere.
