Great Service - Winter Chemicals

DO NOT USE POOLSTORE UK LTD'S FITTERS TO INSTALL YOUR POOL LINER
I ordered the liner from Poolstore UK Ltd via the ‘Gold Service’ and the website says
‘our expert fitters have over 20 years experience’
And
'With the gold service PoolStore will give you full peace of mind because you will not have to do anything. The fitter will come out to you and survey and measure your pool. We will order your liner to your choice of colours and style and when it is ready the fitter will come and take the old liner out and then fit the new liner and refill the pool'
EDIT - they have now changed the wording on their website.
It does not mention anything about the customer deciding whether or not to use the fitter they recommend, and if they do a bad job they will take zero responsibility for their mistakes.
Poolstore do not clearly explain that the contract for the survey and installation has nothing to do with them, even though they pass your details to the fitter and they contact you to arrange the work and then insist on direct payment after the survey has taken place. Something I was expecting to pay Poolstore for, and assumed they would pay their fitter.
Poolstore provide products, not services, and their website is extremely misleading.
Poolstore have removed my initial review and have tried to claim that this review is meant for another company. Please look at other 1 star reviews on this site regarding liner installation. This is not a one off.
I did not choose my installer, he was provided to me via Poolstore. I have clear evidence of this. I wouldn't choose some random guy from Swindon. Poolstore have since provided me with his address to pursue legal action against him. If the truth is that I chose him independently, and he's nothing to do with Poolstore, why would they have his address?
I lost over £6ooo and it cost more than double that to fix the mistakes. The court ruled in Poolstores favour because I paid their recommended installer directly, as instructed by Poolstore. Do not fall into the same trap.

Thank you for your review. For clarity, Poolstore UK Ltd supplied your liner only — we had no involvement in your installation. From the outset, we explained that installation is carried out by independent third-party fitters, paid directly by the customer, and that all workmanship warranty lies with the installer.
Our recommended installer was unavailable at the time you wanted the work carried out. You chose not to wait for his return from holiday and instead hired another installer who was not recommended by Poolstore UK Ltd. In court, you presented your bank statement showing direct payments to this third party, confirming that you entered a contract with him, not with Poolstore.
We also offered goodwill assistance, which you declined — a point confirmed in court. On 3rd December 2025 (Case No. 669MC857), the judge dismissed your claim and advised that any action should have been taken against the installer you independently selected.
Poolstore UK Ltd has successfully supplied pool products for over 25 years, including more than 1,000 liners installed by our recommended fitter in the last decade, with only two customers misunderstanding this very clear process.
We are sorry you experienced fitting issues, but your review incorrectly attributes responsibility to us.
