Everyone was extremely helpful and explained fully the details of an increased loan. Really grateful for guidance and information. Not full marks because of the delay over the property valuation report which was probably not your fault.

Having applied for a further advance via a mortgage broker we found that Pure were able to help us with a suitable deal. Everything went smoothly enough although our offer was "lost in the post" and we had to print off and send back a copy from the emailed offer letter. This caused a small delay but other than that it all went smoothly and as expected.

A month ago we would have given Pure Retirement 5 stars. We took out a drawdown equity release so that we only paid interest as and when we wanted to draw down. Our initial drawdown was at very good rate before interest rates went up. Our second drawdown was at a much higher rate but seemed to be in line with the market BUT just a few months later we took a third drawdown and the interest rate was very high (a whole percentage point higher than just a few months before and much higher than the market even though interest rates generally had fallen and I couldn't find anywhere that indicated bonds or equities or any other measure had worsened a whole percentage point). I gave Pure an opportunity to explain but they wouldn't or couldn't. We are trapped with them as a lender mainly because the initial drawdown was at a low rate when interest rates were low (in addition there are penalties) and there is a concern now that as there is no competition they will not offer a competive rate for further drawdowns. We will see what happens next time we drawdown and will update this review depending on if this confirms this is what Pure are doing or not.
Pure have since responded and we are satisfied with that provided that it holds true.

I would recommend this company 100 per cent. I have always found them so helpful, courteous and very professional. Everything is explained extremely well and they are very prompt in dealing with everything.
