I am one of those elderly people assetvrich and cash poor. That is, I own my own house but my income is low Thanks to Pure Retirement I am living a comfortable retirement due to Equity release. Pure retirement have guided me through every step from my initial borrowing to fund a roof replacement. I borrowed more than required and left some for future needs I took a second tranche to replace a garden fence and have just taken the last amount to replace my dangerous patio. If I need further money in the future I will very happily use Pure Retirement again.

For a further advance it took far too long, in excess of five weeks.

The insistence on ‘taking you through security’ at the outset of every single phone call, requiring a full recitation of all names address and postcode is wearing. In any event it is far from ‘secure’ as any half decent fraudster would make it their business to acquire this basic information at an early stage. To achieve actual security why not use a password, pet’s name etc which would only be known to AgeUK and the client.

This company is a total scamm of old peaple. My mother borrowed 44k from them on the equity from her house..they don't mention about the compound interest rate they sneak on .absulut sharks over 96k in interest.they have basically taken my mother house 🏠 6.4 interest rate is a scamm don't let you parents fall into there trap there advisers are all in on it .I'd like to know what percentage the advisers cream of for them self Sharks in the sea have more compassion. The law should stop these scammers from robbing old folk it's horrible what they can do with a pen
