We had a 10/10 experience with quick contractors! After ordering several new appliances, we realized that it would be much easier and cheaper to book the installations directly through Quick Contractors, rather than through the company we purchased the appliances from (almost every store in the GTA will use them).

Customer service was very helpful with walking us through the costs and setting up appointment times, and when we needed to cancel a service because of a change in our appliance delivery, they were easy to reach and simply cancelled the scheduled service and refunded us the cost.

All of the contractors were kind, clean, and on time! Shout out to Nick from Brown Gas Services who was actually able to come and install our stove a day early!

Not sure why Home Depot uses this as the contractor for installation. Even 0 is too high for them, negative 100 might be perfectly described their service.

I bought the dishwasher from Home Depot, they sent the installation guys via Quick Contractor service. Two guys came to do the very basic installation, took hours to do it, seems not even a handy man to basic home repair. They even asked to pay $100 extra for their works. After they left, we realized the machine was not properly installed, it’s not level at all, the water could coming in, but unable to go out. And also realized the put a nail 1.5” THROUGH the cup board, it can be deadly cause if kid was running around. We filed the case to Home Depot and Quick Contractor, now it’s over a month, still no one fix it yet, they just keep throwing the ball around.

NEVER use this company for NY kind of service.

Need a zero rating for this company. Be forewarned, this is who Home Depot Canada uses for their installs and they don’t have your back when something goes awol. Instead, you are dealing with this ridiculous company and their insurance. So do your homework online and I suggest contract someone else to do the install before paying for the service through Home Depot. Multiple issues and damage complaints easily found online for Quick Contractors. D- BBB rating. And they are not backed fully by insurance as one would expect. Their insurance will, at best, cover part. My kitchen sustained $1002.00 worth of damage during a dishwasher install. They offered me first $100 (utterly insulting), then after fighting them for months, they offered $680 as a final offer. They refuse to reimburse the full amount of the repair. It is appalling that Home Depot uses this company. I will never buy from Home Depot again either.

I contacted the Nanaimo Home Depot Oct 21, 2024 regarding installation of a gas dryer I had recently purchased from them. I was advised that the cost for a gas dryer installation would be $209.00 plus tax (there was no mention of additional fees at this time). I paid the total amount ($234.08) and received an email inviting me to book an install appointment online with The Home Depot Authorized Installers Quickcontractors.com the same day. There was no mention of any additional fees in this email. I Received a confirmation email Oct 25, 2024 from Quickcontractors.com that my gas dryer install appointment was scheduled for Monday Nov 18, 2024 between 7am & 12pm again with no mention of any additional fees. I received a reminder email Nov 16, 2024 from Quickcontractors.com that my gas dryer install appointment was scheduled Monday morning between 7am & 12pm and once again there was no mention of any additional fees. On Monday Nov 18, 2024 I was home and had my laundry room prepared for the gas dryer install by 7am per the previous emails I had received from Quickcontractors.com. I eventually received a call at 10am from the plumbing and gas company scheduled to do the gas dryer install (3 hours into the 5 hour install window) advising me that they were leaving Nanaimo on their way to Victoria and would be at my home in an hour and a half. I advised them I live in Nanaimo and confirmed they are also located in Nanaimo. They seemed genuinely surprised that I didn’t live in Victoria and hadn’t booked a plumbing and gas company located 111.3 km from my home to install my gas dryer. Once we had established that I was in Nanaimo and they were in Nanaimo, I was told they would be over shortly. At 11am (4 hours into the 5 hour install window provided by Quickcontractors.com) I received a call from Quickcontractors.com advising me that I needed to pay $50.00 for a gas permit before the work to install my gas dryer could proceed. I advised the person I was speaking with that I had paid for the gas dryer install Oct 21, 2024. I was then told that this was an additional fee on top of the amount I had previously paid. I told the person I was speaking with there is no way they didn’t know they needed a gas permit to do gas work and I said that considering Quickcontractors.com whole business appears to be scheduling this type of work it was ridiculous, unprofessional and super shady to call a customer up on the day of install after making them wait around for four hours and demanding more money from them. I was then put on hold while the person I was speaking with consulted with their manager. They returned to the call and advised me that their manager had told them either I pay the additional fee right now or the plumbing and gas company would skip my appointment and go on to the next one. I told them I was not going to pay an additional fee and stated that I wanted my money back. The person I was speaking with advised me to contact Home Depot for a refund and the call was ended. This company is extremely unprofessional, incompetent and shady. I would advise anyone considering dealing with them to exercise caution and I am surprised and disappointed that Home Depot is comfortable being associated with them.

I just received an email to book my installation service on line and it did not work so I called and was told I have to wait until October 12th!!!! WTH this is unacceptable they need to get their S>>>> together> I would never recommend that you pay RONA for any installation of any appliances cause you'll have to wait forever.

Anything but quick. Prepare to spend hours on multiple phone calls.

They are awful in service and ability. Brutal. Hire out for Home Depot installations, don’t use

Failed for the 3rd time to show up for a confirmed appointment. These people are TOTALLY USELESS

If there was a way for me to upload photos of the mess these guys made and left in my house, I would. They came to me via Home Depot third-party subcontracting, and you can be sure I will be following up with Home Depot since aside from trying to hit me up for more money while they were here, they also made and left a big mess in my kitchen when they came to install a fan-microwave (April 11 2024). They also changed the appointment time at the last minute, wanting a window from 7 am until noon, instead of 7:45 am until 11:15 as planned, which meant I had to be up and ready for them at 7 am, although they didn't show up until 9:30. So why change the window? All of this, plus they did a bad job. They offset the fan-microwave instead of centering it. They splintered the wood they had to drill a hole through to wire it in, so i suspect the bit was blunt. And then they left all the debris from the installation on the floor and in my cabinet. I agree with what I read from another reviewer who said these guys are as shady as shady gets. But they are sloppy and unprofessional too. Obviously, I am taking this up with Home Depot, who've already assured me there won't be any extra billing for the job. And my regret at this moment is that it wasn't until after the job was done that I looked at the reviews for this company.

Shady as shady gets. We paid The Brick 250 for a TV install , contractor shows up and determines because he has to use a ladder to install the TV there is more liability so an additional 280 plus tax must be paid. I guess handy "men" are afraid of heights in this day and age and need to charge a premium to go up 3 feet

On October 20, 2023 we had booked Quick Contractors to install a Hood Range, and Connect/install a water line to the fridge. When booked, I thought I also needed to have a water line installed for the Ice Maker so I had booked that too.

So we had 3 things that we booked through Quick Contractors.

The plumber arrived on October 20th and told me he would not be the installer for the hood range even though it was on his work order. I didn't think anything of it because I figured someone else would show up.

As you can guess, no one showed up and no one called me. I reached out to Quick Contractors over the phone and they need to change their name because they are not in any way "Quick". In fact, it took several calls to get to someone who could try to help me but that is a joke because they simply gave me the runaround, had no idea what I was talking about, told me the work was completed etc.

Finally I thought I got through to them and they understood that I only had the water line to the fridge installed. Meaning that the Hood Range and the Water line for the Ice Maker had not been done.

I also explained that I never needed to have the water line installed to the ice maker so that needed to be removed from my Bill.

Oh, did I mention that in order to book these guys, you have to pay for the entire work at time of booking? Yes, you do.

The Hood Range was $183.99 +Tax
The Waterline for the Ice Maker was $155.99

They were supposed to call me on Monday October 23rd, never happened. No call at all until I called again on Thursday October 26th only to have them tell me they refunded my credit card.

I had no idea so I looked and they only refunded me the amount for the Hood Range. I am still waiting for the 155.99+tax.

Not to mention that my Hood Range sat there doing noting, not installed until I found another installer and had to pay them to come and do it.

The time I wasted, on the phone with these guys was beyond acceptable and then having to find someone else to install what they got paid to do was over the top.... but then to be 3 weeks since the incident and still not have my refund for the Ice Maker is frustrating, they have my money.

STAY AWAY from this company, they do not care about their customers and make it hard to talk to anyone who knows anything to do with their job.

They can't even put you on hold while they make another call to inquire about something, they tell you they only have 1 line. Then they never call you back.

I have ordered cooktop and paid for installation at Home Depot. The installer was from Quick Contractors -too bad you can not choose the other one. The first time he didn’t show up ,the next time he told me without even looking that it will cost me additional 150$ on top what I paid at Home Depot and I have to pay now and their receptionist offered me to re schedule if I am not paying right away! So rude! Plus it was my second day off. So ended up to pay total $300 for installation of Cooktop! Complained to Home Depot but nobody cared to call me back . PLEASE FIND YOUR OWN CONTRACTOR DO NOT USE QUICK CONTRACTORS SERVICES

Stay away from this company Home Depot uses them and they are absolutely horrible to deal with. They Installed my kitchen sink crooked and damaged granite countertop. Unbelievable

This company was the only option offered to me for the installation of a washer-dryer bought at Canadian Appliances (CAS). They were impossible to reach for a few days. No-one was answering the telephone or the e-mails that I had sent. When finally after about 5 days, I was given a date and my credit card number was taken, nothing happen. A few days later, another date was given, nothing happen again, then a few days later, another date but this time with a confirmation number. The afternoon before the day of the installation, I received a call changing the date again for the same day. I had to rush to the house waiting for hours for nothing because they showed 3 hours later anyway. The installation was done but they left the old appliances in the middle of the way claiming that the truck was full. They said that they would be back the next day but refused to give a time. When I called the next day, I try to get a more precise time for the pickup, they insinuated that the removal of the old appliances was not included in the price. In the many phone calls and e-mails that we exchanged, removal of the old appliances had always been mentioned. I find their attitude suspicious. This is a lot of aggravation and a lot of time lost.

these guys are quick alright. i called them and inquired about installing a water source for a refrigerator(no existing water source). i was told that i need to pay an appointment fee(96$) which would be included in the bill after the work is done. they came in took some pictures and told me i need a handyman to run the watersource. i am still scratching my head after all i did explain that i need a NEW water source to the nice rep over the phone.
