Check batch codes of skincare products for shelf life


l've been a customer of Reliked for over a year and have picked up some well priced bargains.
I ordered a number of Cle de Peau skincare items at an amazing discount, however when I started to use them something wasn't right. I use this brand all the time and the products seemed off both in texture and smell.

When I raised that the first product had gone off with Reliked they told me they had checked the batch codes and there was nothing wrong with the item and they didn't return cosmetics for hygiene reasons.

I subsequently checked the batch codes and the items ranged from 2yrs 2months to 4 yrs 2 months since production.

I do consider these products to be old and not fresh off the production line.

I think this is likely why the products were off or that since production they were not stored correctly which caused them to go off.

Either way checking the batch codes of the items you buy from Reliked is advisable so you are fully aware of the age of the item you are buying.

Altogether a disappointing experience and a waste of money. You are not getting a bargain if the product is not useable.

Of note is the reaction of reliked to my review, customer service (!) pestered me to re-word my trust pilot review through the Easter weekend - no desire to help me as an out of pocket customer who had a poor experience just the veiled threat of legal action if I didn’t adjust my wording.
Says it all. Suspect the business won’t go the distance with this approach to customers.

4th June - the response to my review misrepresents the engagement I had on this topic and is factually incorrect. What it does confirm is that if you have a problem you will not enjoy the experience of trying to get it resolved.
I made x15 orders which went well; but one didn’t and I was left with products I couldn’t use and out of pocket.
I find it outrageous that they suggest I could have been nicer to the person handling the query which was the person who owned the business not an assistant as they state. They were rude, argumentative and kept changing their position, I did well to remain calm and polite. To suggest they might have helped me otherwise is just more passive aggressive manipulation. Good riddance.

You contacted us regarding a Clé de Peau Beauté product purchased over two months prior. You mentioned that Clé de Peau had informed you the product's shelf life was two years, and the item you had was two years and two months old. Despite being outside our returns window, we investigated the batch number you provided with Clé de Peau's Customer Service team. They confirmed that their products have a guaranteed quality for three years when unopened and stored at room temperature. Therefore, the product sold to you was well within its expiry date.

Had the product been expired, we would have, of course, refunded you in full. However, it had not expired. As a result of your complaint, we have now added photos of expiry dates and batch numbers to our product images for greater transparency.

As a customer who has placed over 15 orders with us, we feel that your review contained misrepresentations. We kindly asked you to remove the defamatory comments to ensure a fair and accurate reflection of our products and services.

Had you been within the returns period and communicated politely with our customer service assistant, we would have been more than willing to assist you further. 🖤

I have bought from this company many…

I have bought from this company many times and it’s 50/50 if you’re going to get a good condition item or not. I’ve received wonky glasses, smashed eye shadow pallets and all emails are ignored. I bought two jackets recently and they only sent one , noticed they have just refunded me and put the other up for sale for more money. Absolutely shoddy to do this with no email to let me know.

Thieves- stole £450! Sent me a counterfeit item, refusing to answer my emails, blocked me on instagram… and yet continue to bombard me with texts offer their promotions. Having to peruse a refund via paypal. Awful!

Avoid retailer - £165 spent and wrong items recieved

Spent £165 on a recent purchase x2 trainers, dress and necklace only to recieve random clothes with no labels ?
I emailed them immediately after receiving the items because it was clear I'd recieved someone else order. They responded apologising, saying their has been a mix up with orders,to send back and they'll send my items out. I sent the box back only to be told, the items that I had sent back weren't from them?! I made out i had sent them random clothing back and would not be offering a refund. I said I don't want a refund I want my items that I ordered. The clothes weren't mine but they kept saying they never came from their shop?
The box was not tampered with. They refused to call me. Emails back and forth via email and then WhatsApp. I was a affiliate and have used reliked for yrs. They removed me from the chat and no refunds issued. I have now gone to citizens advice ombudsman to sort! Will never use again

FALSE ADVERTISING

They sold something as Dolce e Gabbana, priced accordingly to this premium brand.
It arrived as D&G the sub brand.
I tried to contact them to discuss how we could resolve and nobody ver replied. Therefore, in my opinion they ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY

Untrustworthy Company

This company has gone from bad to worse. I am currently waiting for them to dispatch an order I placed three weeks ago (for which I paid a £4.50 postage charge). They never respond to emails so I will now have to open a Paypal dispute. Before Christmas I received an item with a hole in which I had to send back at my own expense and I was also charged a £2 restocking fee. No response to my complaints of course. I have only continued to shop with them because occasionally you will find a good bargain - but shopping with them is such a risk. I would advise anyone wishing to place an order to do it through eBay as you have more protection.

Poor company to deal with

Ordered 9 days ago, messaged via their website contact form after not dispatched & been ignored with no response. Both times I ordered they refunded part of my order claiming items out of stock, they advertise simultaneously on multiple platforms including eBay which is why this happens AFTER you’ve purchased! Also they state on the order confirmation email you’ll receive a shipping email once DPD collect order from them which is false as they send £150+ orders with Evri despite this courier being notoriously problematic and causing delays. I would not recommend Reliked due to their poor customer service, communication failures and poor business practices which are very misleading to customers. BEWARE - they will not refund only issue a gift card, you can’t return items under £10 & certain other items, you have to request a return and this is at your cost & they charge a £2 restocking fee on all items returned, it appears these T&C’s are in breach of online selling regulations!

You don’t always receive what you ordered

I bought a dress from the ‘never worn section’ and it was used and had a safety pin in it. Furthermore I ordered some shoes and then was emailed a week later informing me that they were no longer available and would receive a refund. I paid £12 for the shoes but only received £10.20 refund.

Having had a good previous experience with Reliked, I was disappointed with a more recent order which took so long to arrive and which had one item missing. There was no communication from Reliked regarding this, just a refund for the item.

Order Never Arrived – No Help from Customer Service

I placed an order with Reliked on 29 November 2024 for £80+, but I never received a shipping confirmation, tracking details, or the parcel itself—only the initial order confirmation.

I contacted them multiple times via email and their website, but I have either been ignored or received responses that didn’t resolve the issue.

After over two months of trying to sort this out, I am still without my order or a refund. Unfortunately, their customer service has not been helpful.

Zero Customer Service

Returned two items over 2 weeks ago awaiting store credit despite sending 3 e-mails for a status update no response from Reliked.
Awful Customer Service not tomention being out about £90.

Reliked used to be much better

Reliked used to be much better, the customer service is very slow and not helpful. They have been increasing their prices including delivery costs and restock costs, plus they only provide store credit and you have to pay for returns so everything adds up. There's also a lot more cheap clothing being added so less quality overall.

In answer to your review Reliked actually REDUCED the price of EVERY item on the website by a minimum of 10% at the start of the year, and now offer free shipping on orders over £75 too.

Update - I did filled inquiry form on reliked website, no one contacted me back, so it’s a lie, they do not reply, only on trustpilot reply to look better!

Having looked into this I can see that we definitely did reply to you with the 48hours specified. We always respond to emails to ask you for patience during our huge sale times as our Customer Service only operates Monday-Thursday 9-2pm and we are not open over the weekend, so apologies if we did not get back to you quick enough. Issue resolved

Incomplete order delivered & no response to communications sent.

Despite several attempts to communicate with reliked via their link I have received no response regarding a missing item in the package delivered. Very disappointed & if not resolved would not be tempted to make further purchases.

I have edited my trustpilot review given the prompt customer service team resolving the issue. My previous communications had been missed due technical issues.

One of my fav stores to buy beauty products from!!! They always have something I want to try or love at such a decent price and the fact the money goes towards charity just makes it even more worthwhile shopping here.

Great discounts but delivery can be awhile even longer if there’s a big discount on, also if you order and the the main item you wanted could be out of stock with out them realising which has happened a few times to me so could still cost you delivery and returns money having said that I still order because I like the fact you can get big brands at a cheaper price

Too long delivery

Tbh never had a bad purchase from reliked. But my recent order took a month to arrive. Tried to get InTouch with little response. It was over the Christmas period so realise a busy time but a response to my emails would hav been good.
