Fantastic Experience! And Product!

I placed an order for one of the incredible rocking horses. I had a tight timeline an emailed RC Designs with my concerns. I received a very prompt response and help. I received my horse 2 days later! This company was fantastic to work with and love my horse! I recommend and will definitely use again.

Horrible customer service very mean and…

Horrible customer service very mean and rude, if you even ask a simple question, these people say Veteran owned yet it is cheap quality items overpriced along with a nasty attitude! they give Veterans a bad name! :( :( :( also had to file a dispute because they never credited my return UPS tracking shows they received weeks ago, they refuse to respond to my emails plain and simply nasty and unprofessional and dishonest, and never was there any threats or foul language nothing but lies truly pathetic and unbelievable.

Rebecca, We’re sorry to see your 1-star review, but we’d like to clarify what occurred. You sent an email after business hours requesting to cancel an order. When our office opened the next morning, we had received 13 emails from you, several of which contained threatening and inappropriate language.

As stated on our website, emails received after hours are reviewed once business resumes. When we saw your first message, we noticed you had multiple open orders, so we reached out to confirm which one you wanted canceled — but we did not receive a reply. In the meantime, one of your orders had already been packaged and loaded onto the FedEx truck, which automatically triggered a shipping confirmation.

After receiving your subsequent emails with continued threats and foul language, we made the decision to cancel all remaining orders. You also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which was closed in our favor after we provided full documentation of the situation.

We would also like to add: You filed a dispute on all 11 purchases you received prior to us cancelling your outstanding orders, and your bank reimbursed us because you tried to commit fraud. We provided all of the proof as well as to the local authorities. Our company owes you nothing.

For the safety of our staff and integrity of our business, we do not tolerate abusive behavior. Additionally, your name appears multiple times on badbuyerslist.com, a database used by small businesses to report abusive or fraudulent buyer activity.

Their items look good in the ads but…

Their items look good in the ads but when you get them you see how cheaply they are made. Ordered a pot set in a metal basket. Arrived broken so I emailed them and sent them pictures and they were supposed to mail out a replacement as of 4 September. Today is
19 September and I still don’t have anything. I’ve emailed them twice and customer service has not responded to me as far as what the ETA on my replacement is horrible company and crappy items.

We reached out twice by email requesting damage photos so we could process your replacement, but unfortunately, we never received a response until about two weeks later. We always honor replacements for damaged items as long as the product is in stock — and when it’s not, we issue a refund.

Love my lamp!

I had ordered a lamp from this company. Then I started looking for reviews. They weren't good. I was concerned that I wouldn't get my order after reading them. I emailed them and got an immediate response. They answered all of my questions quickly and professionally. My item arrived today( only 7 days after ordering) in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier.

I ordered some cute stuff

I ordered some cute stuff. It came in two orders. Don’t receive the first order at all, but did for the second order. Called to discuss the first order and I can’t seem to get anyone to respond back to me. Out $80 and literally left 5 messages via email, website, calling, voicemail. Nothing and it’s been over a week. Very disappointed. Cute stuff for good prices, but if I can’t depend on getting it or at the very least have a company that has my back if I don’t receive it. They do charge you (everyone) a $2.98 fee for package protection, which they are obviously making money off of because my package clearly isn’t protected.

BEWARE Candle and Shipping Fee stolen back!!!

I ordered a candle that took weeks to arrive. When it arrived I realized that a mistake had been made as the bowl was the wrong color. I emailed and they quickly called to resolve the issue. They agreed to replace it and asked me to send back the candle (at my expense which was fine) and they'd send me the right one. 3 weeks 7 emails and 4 phone calls later no candle, refund or contact. Terrible experience!!! If they needed the $115 that bad I would happily given it to them rather them stealing it from me!

As a courtesy, we poured a brand-new candle in the correct color and sent three emails and made several phone call attempts regarding the small shipping invoice required to send the replacement.

Unfortunately, since the invoice was never paid, we could not ship the new candle, and a refund was issued instead. Please note, as stated in our policy, we do not cover shipping costs for customer order mistakes.

We always strive to be fair and transparent and would have been happy to ship your replacement immediately upon payment of the shipping cost.

River Chic Designs is a reputable business. We had an issue with an expensive wall clock that arrived damaged. The owner, Joey, called me as soon as he became aware of my concerns. He went above & beyond to resolve our concerns and "make things right." They are a business you can trust.

This company is incompetent!

This company has terrible customer service! I received a damaged item and sent them a picture three times, yet they still claim they haven't received it. When I try to call their customer service number, no one picks up, and the voicemail is full. I highly recommend against ordering anything from this company.They’re incompetent!

We’re sorry to see your 1-star review and wanted to clarify what happened. No photos were submitted through our Damage Claim Portal, which is required for us to process a replacement or refund.

As clearly stated on our website, we must receive specific photos of the damaged item, the packaging, and the shipping label. These are required by UPS in order for them to reimburse us for damages caused during shipping. Without those photos, unfortunately, we’re unable to submit a claim or send a replacement.

We explained this process in our email communication, but since the instructions weren’t followed, we were unable to move forward. We always honor damage replacements when the correct claim information is provided.

Super Cute

Like several other patrons, I originally left a scathing review on 10/3/24 due to inability to get in touch with someone at RiverChic. Since then, someone finally contacted me and informed me that their system had been hacked. They were locked out of their system for quite a while & then lost all customer emails. They have since resolved my issue and have been in regular contact with me about it. They have been easy to work with, friendly and prompt with their responses, and they have replaced the damaged items I originally contacted them about without a problem. The items ordered were super cute! Unlike some other patrons describe, the items I received were of very good quality. This updated review is being submitted on 10/29/2025.

Just like all the other reviews I have emailed and emailed and left messages at the number posted. Absolutely NO response I returned a glass pitcher weeks ago for refund and NO refund or response I am going to find BBB there This place should be shut down

We’re sorry to see your 1-star review but wanted to clarify the details. We received your email on December 18th at 5:35 p.m., which was four business days after your order was placed. We responded five minutes later — even though it was after business hours — explaining that your order was still within our posted 8–10 business day shipping timeframe.

You emailed again on December 19th, asking why your order hadn’t been fulfilled, and we replied once more to confirm that your order was at five business days and would ship within our posted shipping policy. We also explained that each candle is hand-poured and requires time to cure before shipping, and that during the week before Christmas, we had notices on our website stating that not all orders would arrive by Christmas.

At 11:21 p.m., you emailed again (after hours) requesting to cancel your order. We responded as soon as our office reopened on December 20th, confirming that your order had been cancelled and refunded.

We’re sorry you placed your order so close to Christmas and that it couldn’t arrive in time, but we did communicate promptly and clearly throughout the process. Your order was handled exactly according to our posted policies, and we responded to every message you sent.

They absolutely will not respond to phone calls, emails, facebook messages, or web forms! Impossible to do any returns because they say to contact them to return within in 30 days but never respond. So unprofessional and now I’m stuck with a duplicate item that I never meant to order. Do not order from this company! Scam!

Unhappy Customer

I ordered a set of 3 red lanterns, and I love them. Unfortunately, the glass panes for the large lantern were not secured in their box, and they were broken into a million pieces. I have sent 2 email messages and left 4 telephone messages about getting the glass replaced, and I have not received a response from any of it! Ridiculous lack of customer service! I will not ever order from them again!

I bought a $355.00 lamp from them

I bought a $355.00 lamp from them. After a month I still did not have the lamp. I sent 3 separate emails regarding my order and when the product would ship and I never received a response to any of them. Then I called them twice and left a message and still no response. I was really getting upset, then the lamp finally came. It was crooked, but I knew they would never make it right so my husband bent it back in shape. It was way over priced for what it was. I will never buy from them again, nor any other company that is not well known. It's not worth it.
