We recently moved home with Robinson's. It was a three day move due to the distance we were moving. I have to say that they gave us an excellent all round service from our initial point of contact with them to delivering our worldly goods to our new home. We were extremely impressed with how professional the company was and how well they communicated with us at all stages of the move. We always felt that we were in good hands. If we were ever to move house again we would definitely make Robinson's our first call. Well done Robinson's and a special thank you to Lara.

Robinsons Relocation were responsible for the packing, as well as the delivery, of the contents of our entire house, garden, sheds and garage to a new home. Two and a half days of wrapping, packing and loading, followed by one and a half days of unloading with access problems to boot made for a frantic week.
I can only praise the speed and carefulness of the packing process, the diligence of the loading and unloading and the consideration afforded us during all of that time.

This move was a very significant event for us in our advancing years, and we were very grateful for the advice and help which we got from Robinsons right from the start. The operation went as smoothly as these things can; nothing was too much trouble and there was only one, very minor, breakage. We think we made the right decision.

Really good support from the Robinsons team through our relocation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our possessions arrived when they were meant to and in the condition they were meant to (excluding a couple of minor breakages).

The Robinson crew turned up on time to box me up for my move, were very helpful, friendly and willing, asking questions along the way how I would like things done.
The next day moving in went much the same way without any problems although I did feel a floor covering could have been laid down especially in the hallway to protect the new carpet that had been laid the day before from the continual in and out of furniture and boxes.

Completely satisfied with the organisation, logistics and operatives who were positive and helpful making the move go smoothly.

We packed the items ourselves and on unpacking found only one breakage of a glass.

However our stick upright cleaner did get broken during the move.

We’ve used Robinsons for two house moves, 14 years apart. The first was fantastic which is why we went back to them so much later. This time we needed things to go into storage and Covid restrictions back in March made the move out very stressfu but we thought everything would be ok. I was on my own in the house with the guys doing the packing to limit the risks but this turned out to be a massive mistake because I wasn’t able to keep an eye on what they we’re doing. When we eventually moved into our new house, we discovered just how little care had been taken with the packing. Items that had been disassembled, including the kids’ bunk beds had parts missing and lots of things had been thrown into boxes together. We raised the problem straight away and we’re told the insurance would cover it. We were also told that, as we verbally raised the problem items within 7 days, we could go through everything else and put the claim in later. Now we’ve finally put in the claim, Robinsons have told us, contrary to their T&Cs, that we needed to list all the problem items in writing within 7 days despite what they had told us. This means they are refusing to reimburse us for the damage down to our home PCs which were destroyed, a smashed monitor and won’t even cover the bunk beds that were highlighted, by their own staff, as a problem on the day we moved in. All of this goes to show that they great when things go well but are unwilling to make things right when their stuff are negligent.

Very professional and kept to timing. The move was managed well as I was kept well informed during the overseas shipment of goods. The removal team in the US and the delivery team in the UK both did great jobs. Nothing was broken and they were extremely efficient. Highly recommend.

What an amazing service Robinsons removals gave us from the time they gave us a quote to actually completing the job. A very professional service laying sheets over the carpets never marking any walls in both house. Very polite and efficient workers where nothing we asked was any trouble for them. 10 out of 10 service and if we move again I will go straight to them without getting quotes anywhere else.

Scott and the team were amazing! Punctual, efficient and careful with my belongings. Extra kudos for navigating the third floor without a lift! A shoutout also to Courtney and Lara for their cheerful assistance prior to moving day. Thank you all for making my move so smooth!

Great teamwork and very helpful and professional all the way

We recently moved and chose Robinsons as our mover.
The initial visit for quotation was thorough and built confidence.
On the day of the move the men were polite, thorough and attentive to our requirements. I was especially impressed that they laid a carpet covering in both properties, this made a big difference.
All goods and furniture were packed very well.
No damage to any goods.
Robinsons collected the empty packing boxes at a convenient date after we had unpacked at leisure.
I can really recommend this company based on my experience.

Excellent and competitively priced. Ours was a big move quantity wise and distance so it was important to get it right. The Robinsons team were friendly and professional throughout. So glad we found them. Would recommend without hesitation.

The removal crew on the day were brilliant, nothing was to much trouble. We were all packed up in a couple of hours.

I chose to use Robinson's due to being impressed with the initial processes, however discovered that I was actually lied to and missold products that didn't exist upon arrival of moving day and found the whole experience to be the worst 2 days of my life.
Absolutely abysmal customer service on the day.
Glass in pictures was smashed before even leaving the building and because it was in so many bits was disposed of before I could take pictures of it.
Rough scratches to the side of a solid oak bedroom shelving unit. This cannot be replaced as the particular range of furniture is no longer for sale.
3 plastic storage boxes smashed during relocation due to not being put in a safe place on the lorry.
Damages to leather on the sofa. This happened on taking it out of my flat rather than bringing it in as I noticed it once it had gone on the lorry.
Damages to large wardrobe from taking it apart in a rush and not carefully. I also specifically requested this not be taken apart at the time.
Terrible customer services, Lara is rude, and to this date has yet to offer an apology for the abysmal services I have received.
The lorry sent was too small and items forced to be put into their storage, which at the time they tried to insist I pay extra to have delivered 5 months later!!
I was told this is a common occurrence and now believe it to be a dodgy practise aimed at getting more money out of customers.
I was promised extra packing such as picture sleeves and special covers for the couch and export packing of glass vivs during the initial survey but when asked where these were on the day, was told Trey didn’t do this kind of thing. I believe that amounts to mis selling a product.
The invoice states ‘Includes export wrapping and carding of two glass tanks’ – this was not done.
Extra crew were needed to complete packing up as the lorry was too small and the team had sat around watching me deal with my animals instead of getting on with their job meaning the covid risk assessment went out the window and it took all day to pack up.
Instructions from myself were not followed with regards to the dismantling of the wardrobe rendering it unusable.
Rubbish was left inside the property on leaving.
On claiming for insurance of the damaged items they argued and lied about how damage had come about and what was covered to get out of paying. Takes 6 weeks at a time for anyone to respond to emails during this process.

We had an excellent experience with Robinson's in Oxford. Matt in the office was really helpful in getting everything booked in and sorted on short notice and checked in on progress regularly through the move.
The moving team were great, we had a pack and move service, everything was done really quickly and with everything arriving in it's original condition.
We were delayed in being able to collect our keys and the team worked so quickly to get everything in and furniture built, I couldn't believe they were able to unload everything and be out in under an hour.

Our experience with Robinson’s was awful – not only in terms of the damage they did whilst moving our things, but also in their response to the complaints that we raised. We would strongly advise you to think twice before booking.

This included, but was not limited to:
Knocking several holes in the wall in the hall whilst moving furniture. When we raised this with them their customer service initially advised us to just “fix the holes yourselves”.
Forcing open a sash window so wide (despite us asking them not to) that it jammed, and the supporting cords had to be cut. Robinson’s still dispute that their movers were responsible for this and maintain that we must have opened our own window that far (for no reason, and in early Spring whilst it was freezing).
Broke the leg support for an oak dining table. Despite the movers admitting liability for this on the day (and apologising) Robinson’s argued the damage was superficial even though we provided them with photographic evidence that the table was structurally damaged (they did eventually concede this point but only after more photos were sent).
Broke a wooden bookcase, rendering it unusable. Again, they initially disputed whether the item was in fact damaged.
Packing laptops and other delicate items at the bottom of big, full boxes, and packing plants in the same boxes so that dirt went everywhere. Removing items they were specifically requested not to, and leaving things behind they were asked to take.
Removing the garden gate of a neighbour so that they could access around the side of the house, and then driving off without replacing it, leaving the property unsecured.
Literally dumping – rather than unpacking – all our garden items in the shed in such a way as to render it in accessible.

The process from initially complaining about the damage their movers did to getting any sort of recompense took almost six months, and there was only significant movement on this when we threatened to bring in the Ombudsman or take them to small claims court. Emails went unanswered for weeks at a time.

P.S. you can see from their boilerplate response that a) they don’t dispute what happened and feel that level of service is acceptable, and b) care so little about customer service that they simply copy and paste the same reply to negative reviews.
