When booking the original assistant was…
When booking the original assistant was great but when a question about part of the holiday needed confirmation he promised to phone us back within a few minutes. 2 hours later we rang again as no phone call to get an answer. It was a question of space on the guided part of a cruise/touring Italy holiday. We could have lost this holiday due to the delay as very few places left. Not the usual efficiency of ROL

They don’t call you to book!
I joined ROL cruises online. Love that escapism which comes with their almost daily brochures through the post. But when I tried to book a cruise I missed their call once. Tried returning the call but it was a long process. Never heard from them again so we booked with Iglu Cruises! All that money on promotion and they don’t bother ringing you.

Online Price always seems to increase when going to booking
Received email giving a price for the cruise. Within an hour price had gone up by £200pp. It seems to happen all of the time hence 4 stars not 5.

Great at Selling — Terrible at Supporting Once You've Paid
This is my first experience booking with ROL Cruise and, unfortunately, it will also be my last.
Booking reference QB:600390. I first requested a quotation on 19 June to add the APT Hanoi extension to my holiday. More than a month later, despite several follow-up emails and a formal complaint, I still have not received the quotation or any meaningful update. A deadline I set for a response has now passed without any reply.
ROL seems very keen to market and sell cruises, with regular brochures and promotional material arriving, but once you've booked and paid, the level of customer service appears to change dramatically.
I appreciate that APT uses a third party for flight quotations, but as ROL's customer I expect ROL to manage that process and keep me informed. Waiting over a month for a simple quotation is unacceptable.
I paid for this holiday in full and expected a much higher standard of after-sales service. Based on this experience, I would not book through ROL again or recommend them to others.

We note that a member of our Customer Services team has now spoken with you directly regarding this matter. However, we fully appreciate that this should not have taken so long and that the lack of updates throughout the process fell short of the level of service you rightly expected after booking your holiday with us.
Whilst we work closely with our travel partners and suppliers to obtain quotations and arrange booking amendments, we recognise that it is our responsibility to keep our customers informed and updated. We understand how disappointing it must have been to wait more than a month for a response, particularly after making several follow-up enquiries and submitting a formal complaint.
