Poor communication between departments

My old policy matured so I chose to purchase a new policy. There were problems during the process that came from poor inter-department communication. At one point my application was cancelled "by my request" even though I requested no such thing. I'm still waiting for a direct debit issue to be resolved. A very frustrating experience overall.

Price is Good

Price is fair. The setting up the web account was confusing as I received and email to do so and my login credentials would be in an other email that I never received. Had to call my rep to get it ironed out

A tiny bit bumpy but everything got resolved

My experience was pretty good…. Early on, there was a lapse in communication but after I sent an email requesting my new policy, it was resolved.

Good experience and good customer…

Good experience and good customer service. The process was quick and easy. I would suggest having less call-backs when a customer expresses interest as that daily (multiple times a day) call almost turned me off using SBLI.

Did not like the medical people that were used

Everything seemed to go very well except for the blood work. My husband took over a month and then the results were wrong.

Called to see if everything was all set…

Called to see if everything was all set and was told by 2 different reps there was absolutely nothing on file, which ended up not true. Also, some directions unclear in package.

After reviewing the situation, it appears there was an internal misunderstanding of the conversion process which led to some confusion when you called. Unfortunately, this resulted in you being incorrectly informed of your application status. We sincerely apologize for any stress this caused.

To ensure continuity of coverage from your previous policy, your new policy was issued as of your 11/11 anniversary date and the policy package was sent out to you shortly after. Additionally, we’re taking steps to improve our procedures to prevent similar situations in the future.

Regarding the unclear directions in the package, We’d be happy to address any lingering questions or provide clarification. Please don’t hesitate to reach out at 800-694-7254 if there’s anything further we can assist with.

BEST FINAL EXPENSE COMPANY IN THE LIFE INSURANCE INDUSTRY

I've been in the life insurance business since 1991. I've written with about every company out there. SBLI is the best company i've ever done business with. I could give many reason as to why. If you are an agent i would highly recommend SBLI. Get contracted and you'll see exactly what i mean.

A disappointing start with SBLI

There were multiple challenges in obtaining the policy, I selected an amount, yet was sent paperwork for a higher amount, this had to be corrected. Then the initial payment withdrawn from my account was for the higher policy despite a signed form that acknowledge the correct death benefit and the lower premium. Now I have to wait for a refund. Thankfully Ross Singmaster has been assisting me and been very helpful. However, my experience with SBLI has been less than stellar at this point.
