As a first time buyer the concept of surveyors made me nervous but I honestly shouldn’t have been. From the very beginning the team offered me endless support and were quick to respond. The pricing compared to other quotes received was brilliant. On the day of the survey Paul Fieldson called me on his way to the property to go through what would be happening and to see if I had any concerns he also said he would be available to speak to and to call him at any time to speak through the report. And he was true to his word! I received the report within hours which flagged a couple of concerns which Paul explained in detail for me when I called later that day. Paul was truly a professional and that no question was too silly - thank you Paul. I highly recommend SDL and Paul and will be doing so to friends and family. Thank you.

After having a survey done previously with Paul Fieldson. There was only one person I would go back to for another survey to be done. As like previous survey. Paul was efficient, professional and very through as before. Booking was very simple and the pricing was very good. The report was done on the same day to avoid any delays on my house purchase. Friendly and efficient

One of these surveyors suggested my property is worth £1300pcm in rent, which is less than this property was rented out at ten years ago before I bought it and spent £60k on its improvement.
Comparative lets in the area are £1900-2300 pcm.
This surveying company is out of touch and cost me a mortgage. I do not recommend.

I found the surveyor very well kept polite and constructive in his approach and clear notification of what his goals were.
I have a spaniel who he was very calm and collected with (cruise is very active)

I have brought and sold numerous properties and as surveyor’s go I was very impressed with his attitude and calmness. In today’s markets it cannot be an easy task.

Arranged easily over the phone. The chap who came round was a few minutes earlier than the scheduled times so that’s a bonus. He was polite and friendly and was a dog friendly person which is always plus when coming into our home as their family. He had the job done within the times given and explained the process following the survey. Thank you for the good service.

Very rude pushy lady at the end of the phone when booking the survey. She did not like the fact that I would not book my survey for the following day as it was quite short notice for me so I chose the day after that. She was very pressuring at such short notice when there was no major rush.

Awful service.
14 day wait for survey to be done, but surveyor cancelled the afternoon before claiming that the property needed a level 3 survey due to extension and loft conversion, also that there was a breach in the damp proof coursing (must have figured this out via a crystal ball or somesuch...).
I would have been happy to pay for a level 3 but not on the basis that it was an 11th hour cancellation.
Commissioned a survey with a different provider who's service is far superior to SDL.
