Good job all round

Serial problems over a few days included two defective toilet flushes, a blocked kitchen sink and a rumbling, vibrating gas fired boiler. Ethan organised the repairs and plumbing engineer, Jader, carried out the work. Everything, including new parts, was dealt with quickly and efficiently. A good job all round.

The company missed my appointment.

The company missed my appointment then tried to put my next one at the back of the queue, about which, I protested and got the next appointment two days later. The engineer was fine but he had not been given the right fittings for the oven seal. He prevailed.

We’re sorry for the disruption caused when the original appointment had to be rearranged at short notice due to an engineer being stuck on an emergency gas-related call. Safety issues of this nature do occasionally arise and can impact scheduled visits. We worked to secure the earliest alternative appointment and were pleased to attend within two days.
During the visit, the engineer encountered difficulty fitting the replacement oven seal but was able to restore the appliance to working order at the time. Since then, we have obtained a revised part specification and have arranged to return with the correct component at no additional cost to you.

We appreciate your recognition of the engineer’s efforts and remain committed to resolving this fully.

Installation of a Franke Filterflow Kitchen Tap.

Jader and his colleague did a good job , There was a minor leak to a hot water pipe whch had been knocked accidentally during the fitting, which Jader came back the sam day to fix.

Gas cooker installation

I had a gas engineer come out to install my gas cooker. I had a great experience with serviceteam
The engineer was kind, polite and paid close attention to the job he was doing. He definitely takes pride in his work. He was also very informative and gave advice on the dos and donts when using the cooker, and how this specific cooker works. In summary, He did an amazing job and I'm very pleased with the service I received.

The quote was contradictory and did not…

The quote was contradictory and did not comply with what was offered on rated people. The invoice stated making good was part of the job but it wasn't and then tried to backtrack 30mins before due, when it was too late. Didn't offer any apology or acknowledgement of the error. Would not recommend at all. Very disappointed on how it was dealt with.

Hi Brian - We take allegations of not honouring our proposals extremely seriously, so for clarity we have reviewed the call transcript from the day of works.

Our written quotation explicitly stated in BOLD:

“Kindly note that making good has not been included in this quotation. A separate quote for making good will be provided following completion of the visit.”

Prior to attendance, we identified a wording inconsistency (that could be ambiguous) elsewhere in the documentation and contacted you to clarify scope before any works commenced.

During that call you confirmed VERBATIM:

“Yeah, yeah, it needs to be removed come what may.”

And

“I won't be expecting him to do anything other than remove it and just make sure it's tidy.”

We also made clear:

“If you didn't want, we could have cancelled the appointment and refunded the money.”

The works then proceeded strictly on that agreed basis — removal and safe disconnection only, carried out by a gas engineer.

The request for a reduced price for making good was raised after the works had been completed.

We do not renegotiate agreed scopes retrospectively. The works carried out were exactly those agreed prior to attendance.

We regret that the original wording inconsistency caused confusion, which is precisely why we clarified it before attending.

Serviceteam has always honoured its written proposals and agreed scope of works, and we continue to do so.

The booking process by Ryan was also great, in ten minutes we had a slot for Sunday!

Hi David - We’re sorry you felt disappointed, but we’d like to clarify the timeline for accuracy.

The EICR inspection was completed late afternoon on Wednesday, 4th February. An EICR is not issued on the day, as it involves hundreds of recorded observations, test results, and formal compliance checks. The final report in this case is 10 pages long and requires review before release.

The certificate was completed over the following two working days (Thursday and Friday) and was released on Sunday morning to expedite matters.

The review was posted on Saturday, before the normal turnaround period had elapsed and before the certificate had been issued.
We always aim to balance speed with accuracy and compliance, particularly for reports relied upon during property sales.

My time was completely wasted today

My time was completely wasted today. No one showed up, no prior notice was given, and there was not even a basic apology afterward. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of customers’ time. I would not recommend this company.

The engineer assigned to attend became unwell at short notice and was unable to proceed with the visit. An update and apology were provided once this was confirmed.

This job has involved coordinating access between multiple parties, which has contributed to disruption and delays. Unfortunately, in situations like this, progress can become difficult despite the best efforts on all sides.

Poor and unprofessional service 

It was a big mistake and I regret it.
I used this company for the first time and it certainly would be the last. I found the service very unprofessional and work was carried out by people who are not properly qualified or with adequate skills, training or experience.
They installed an electric shower that did not work and they left me with a leak which could have flooded the whole apartment - totally unacceptable!

We’re sorry you feel disappointed, but we do need to correct several inaccuracies in this review for the benefit of future customers.

You requested a like-for-like replacement of an electric shower supplied by yourself, to be connected to your existing plumbing and electrical services. Our quote and attendance were clearly on the basis of a simple swap, with no design, specification, or supply responsibility taken on by us. This was explained and agreed in advance.

The work was carried out by a fully qualified and highly experienced engineer with over 25 years’ industry experience, more than 10 years full-time with Serviceteam, completing high volumes of similar work every week. We strongly reject the suggestion that the work was carried out by unqualified or inexperienced personnel.

Upon installation, the shower did not operate correctly. Further checks on site confirmed:

• The electrical supply was adequate and compliant.
• The incoming water flow rate was restricted and not suitable for the shower model you had purchased, or alternatively the unit itself may have been faulty.

At your request, our engineer remained on site well beyond the agreed minimum visit, carrying out additional diagnostics that were outside the original scope. We also replaced a restrictive isolation valve as a goodwill attempt to improve flow, which unfortunately did not resolve the issue.

When you later reported a minor drip on a joint that had tested leak-free when we left, we returned free of charge within 24 hours and resolved it immediately.

As you supplied the shower, we cannot return it to the retailer or claim under warranty on your behalf. The appropriate next step is to contact the manufacturer to assess whether the unit is faulty or incorrectly specified for your water supply. Any redesign, re-specification, or further remedial work would require a separate visit and quotation.

The installation itself was completed correctly, tested, and supported with follow-up attendance at no charge. We always aim to be clear about scope, responsibility, and limitations when customer-supplied equipment is involved.
