I like the attention to detail that Shed Plans offers, including a complete materials and hardware list. One thing I'd like to see is a format where you can make changes to the plan, such as increasing wall height, etc.

These plans were very detailed and I loved the 3D images you can view from their CAD models. Excited to get started building my new shed this fall!

My husband is building our shed in the backyard right now-- we bought this plan for him to follow after much deliberation about whether to buy a ready-made shed or build one on our own. He was thrilled about someone else having done all the work about what materials and how much of each would be needed. Five stars for all that, it has been so helpful. He took a day to build the walls, which went very smoothly. But when he got to the roof, he said it seems like some of the instructions are missing. There were no details given about the angles at which he needed to cut the wood to make it match up, it ended up being guesswork on his part. Also, the plan instructed him to put the roof together with 5 inch and 2 1/2 inch screws, but did not tell him HOW to go about that, so the roof to this point has been a lot of trial and error. He is 1/3 of the way done with the roof at this point in time. Personally, I am so grateful for the time and effort that has been saved by having a ready-made plan that says exactly what we needed to buy, and how it has walked him through so much of it. If I could offer any suggestion for improvement to the plan, it would be to add detail about the angles at which to cut the pieces for the roof and an explanation of how to attach roof pieces together.

I was able to buy and download the plan for a reasonable price and without any problems.

It would be very nice to have the materials list included/available and an excel spreadsheet. I would also suggest checking the materials list and getting more common material. For example, a 2x3 is not common where I live. Just make it a 2x4.

Way over designed for what I needed. The material list priced out near $10,000.00 Cdn. Metal shed kits are $2,200.00 Cdn.

plans are great for the first time builder. The only change I would make is to the shopping list. A condensed version of the shopping list would be better.
Totals for each type of lumber makes ordering lumber easier

Product is good but would like to see engineered plans available

The internet is a big place, but this was the single most helpful website I found for DIY shed construction. Very thorough, with guides for every aspect of the process. The plans are extremely detailed; $20 is an incredibly cheap price for full step by step instructions as well as the shopping and cut list. One mistake on mathing a cut or ordering lumber will easily set you back more than $20.
