I had the fortune of engaging Ronan O'Hara of the Blackrock office of Sherry Fitzgerald for the sale of my home in Blackrock. From start to finish Ronan was a true professional. He was very prompt in responding to emails/queries, especially when I was having a little wobble at one point in the sale. Can't recommend Ronan enough and in the event I have a property to sell again in the future, I'll be contacting him.

I recently purchased a house through Sherry and my experience was worse (D15). While buying a house is a life event for most, the folks here has absolutely no consideration to that fact. They did not want to show me the house for final walkthrough which I had to argue with them. They lied to me that they had the entire house keys so I released the funds, however, they gave me literally just a single main door key. I had to follow up for 5 days, and multiple phone calls to receive the entire set of keys. After all this, it took 3 weeks for them to remove the 'Sold' board in front of the house.
If you are looking for an agent, please do not consider Sherry, instead consider other agents who are more professional and friendly.

Sometimes made phone calls on my behalf to significant others or directed me on who to call in the bid expedite the process. She was so friendly and always ready to help even when she was on holidays. Will recommend Serry Fitzgerald McDermott company to anyone interested in buying their own home any day.

I contacted Midleton branch to ask if they would take on the sale of my property. I was told a more senior member of staff would get back to me. One week later I called back. Apparently they had never heard of my inquiry, but would respond as soon as possible. Well it never happened. I took my business to a Cork auctioneer who sold it. I am sure they are inundated with work. My impression is that they are arrogant and unconcerned.

We as a customer we have right to know what is the reason for unsuccessful. I have applied for more than 10 houses not even one I got a viewing. I understand there is a huge demand and applications. But I have applied at the very first moment it is posted. We are a full time working with clean record and I have mentioned it to them in my intro. I really don't understand how transparent they're in this process. It leads to doubts of internal dealings and unfair procedure. I appreciate you technology of automated process but when customers are spending time to fill in details and showing serious interest. Isn't your options to take your time in reviewing the application fairly to give an opportunity for the serious applicants.

Brenda Mulcahy is a professional, enthusiastic agent. She organised the sale of my house drawing in a lot of viewers and handling offers sensitively. Achieved a sale above asking price. She is backed up by a professional team and they took the stress out of selling.

I went into the Westport branch of the franchise to enquire about the cost of a valuation, I was told there would be no charge ( to quote their website ' Thinking of selling your property? This is a free service and there is no obligation to engage our services, so if you need a valuation for selling your property we're ready to help. ).Nobody showed up for the first appointment, I had to chase confirmation of the second subsequent to which I received an email informing me there was a charge of €200 plus vat for the valuation as I had mentioned during the viewing I was considered marketing the property myself.
