As always, SJL has arranged the renewal of our policy prompty and efficiently. In particular Paige has been most helpful in assisting our review of cover requirements and quickly (at short notice) providing clarification to ensure the correct details appear on our insurance schedule. Thank you Paige.

Alex Whaley contacted me sufficiently in advance of the renewal date for us to have a meaningful discussion about the details of the policy schedule, and then negotiated effectively with the (new) insurance company. This has not been the case in the past 2 or 3 years, where other account handlers have been superficial in their interest and application, making easy promises but then never following through. I have even needed to complain directly about one handler to Simon Lancaster himself (the company owner). I just hope this year's experience will be repeated in future, but maybe it's just the luck of the draw and depends on happening to fall upon a call handler who is sufficiently motivated to do the job properly. Sadly, not all of them are, from my experience.

Best I've dealt with. Patient , good phone manner , polite , not overbearing. Try to get you a good deal and sound like they actually want to help, as compared to the usual. Very impressed with the whole team tbh.

I can't recommend the service I received from SJL Insurance highly enough. I mainly dealt with Lisa who took a lot of time to ensure we got the cover we needed (it was complicated!), was extremely prompt responding to emails and phone calls and was always willing to take time to explain the insurance terminology which I wasn't familiar with. Very happy to have done business with this team - such nice people.

James sorted out our company insurance policy, which we didn’t manage to renew on time, swiftly and efficiently. We had to go with another insurer, but James managed to get us a competitive quote within hours. He also possesses a human touch - so important in this digital age! Thank you James.

In the last few years it has been more and more difficult to obtain insurance on my holiday home in the UK, I am in Newfoundland Canada. I have been with SJL for the second year this year and have found the agent to be very helpful, the instructions for renewal clear and explicit and the overall experience very satisfactory.

I have just taken specialist insurance out with SJL and dealt with James. I have to say that the service, response, and attitude were exceptional. The insurance I wanted was difficult to place, and James spent quite some time fine tuning the details and sourcing a policy that suited my needs perfectly.
