Very easy to renew
Unreliable
I downloaded the subscription 3 hours before use, when I went to play the watch found my course and then told me was not subscribed. I turned the watch off and back on and since then the watch has not even found a satellite signal. This is why I bought a garmin as the SkyCaddie was forever loosing signal during a round often at critical shot points and then there no time to wait for it to find them ..
Charging issues
I have been a loyal user of the Skygolf caddie for longer than I can remember. Some of my recent syncing issues were quickly resolved (5 stars). The product has always served it's purpose very well and at courses across the country (5 stars again). But now I am unable to re-charge my caddie. It could be the charging port or the cable. So I started by ordering the cable but received the wrong one. Now I find that the one I need is out of stock and I cannot find it anywhere. I use(ed) my caddie every week and now it just sits there. I have the SX 500. Whats the deal, Skygolf?
Sky Caddie Golf Watch
The Sky Caddie renewal process was clear and easy to understand. I also liked the levels of options, from full capability to basic functionality, which was free.

I wanted to renew my subscription to the birdie option which offered 12 free srixon golf balls but pay for the postage, I put them in my basket and went to checkout which added on a handling fee for another £7-99 on top of the £6-99 postage, so the golf balls we’re not free they were £14-98. I called up sky caddie and spoke to an American lady who told me that’s how it is, I told her they’re not free so you shouldn’t advertise them as being free and only pay for postage, I didn’t buy them and told her it was not good .

I use the SkyCaddie watch 3 or 4 times a week and it has proved helpful on multiple occasions. The only difficulty I've had is trying to renew my membership and have it show on my watch. Just did it now and I'm not sure it will work. Very complicated.
