The Slate Workshop Opiniones

I ordered a new house sign from The Slate Workshop because I was impressed with all the very positive reviews. Ben most definitely deserves them. As I started with planning the sign, Ben was helpful by sending me examples of different fonts and images to help me visualise the end result. The sign arrived carefully wrapped and the finished product is absolutely wonderful! A very thick piece of beautiful slate skillfully carved.

We chose Ben to create a memorial slate for our dad. His response to our enquiry was fast and helpful. Offering recommendations and proofs easily. The quality of workmanship was excellent and the slate was delivered promptly. Thoroughly recommended & a pleasure to deal with.

Excellent service from Sam, super quality artwork and very quick delivery. A pleasure to do business with them at a very difficult time. Highly recommended.

Ben at The Slate Workshop was excellent from start to finish. He really listens, understands what you need, and his craftsmanship is outstanding. If you’re looking for a memorial slate for Clandon Wood, he’s absolutely the person to go to. Clear communication, beautiful work, and a genuinely thoughtful service. I recommend Ben's work.

Ben made a beautiful house name slate for us to give as a gift. The stone itself is impressive Welsh slate and the writing etched cleanly. Ben communicated really well, sending us two draft options to choose from. The slate arrived well packaged and within a week (Ben kindly made our order more quickly so that we could give it as a birthday gift). The slate itself is much more substantial than I thought and overall we are extremely impressed with the result. Thank you

I wanted a slate house name and ordered it through Slate Workshop based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. It’s exactly what I wanted, a beautifully made and engraved piece of Welsh slate for my cottage. It was a very fast service from Ben and delivered in perfect condition and very well packaged.
Highly recommend Slate Workshop.

Ben and team at the Slate Workshop produced a fantastic slate memorial plaque for my late wife's grave. Their work is absolutely first class.

A very personalised service, with advice as needed based on years of experience and incredibly patient to accommodate all of my many intricate design details/requests.

I would highly recommend their services to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to use them in future.

I've used Ben for two funerals this year. I can't praise him more highly. Quality of his product is excellent. He's so responsive working on drafts using PDFs till we got it spot on. All in one day. The minutest change (line spacing) he was happy to indulge. His courier company (dependable brand) messed it up and failed to deliver. He re-made another slate stone over the weekend, sent it on Monday, it arrived today, Tuesday, 200miles away, the day before the funeral. Amazing service.

Very accommodating gentleman with excellent choice of merchandise. The quality of the product we bought was first class and was made to order within three days. Would definitely recommend.

I was impressed by Ben's care in making my sign. He was very patient in taking time to understand my wishes and gave good advice. I am absolutely delighted with the end result.

My husband died three years ago and the family struggled to get organised to provide his grave with a fitting memorial. We made contact with Ben, with draft wording and layout. He came back to us with images which we tweaked slightly and, again, we had a prompt response. We said we would like certainly images and Ben had two suggestions. He sent us two possible 20x20x5 cm plaque options and we asked him to go ahead with our preference.
The slate plaque was delivered to Clandon Burial two weeks later.
We are very happy with the result.
Ben replied promptly and understood what we wanted. The finished slate looks just right. Thank you.

Great ideas and design options. Excellent quality final product created with expert craftsmanship. Our new house sign will look fabulous and last for years.

Ben was amazing from the get go. He was really quick at getting back to me when I asked for a quote, he was thorough when going through the options and didn’t try to over sell us anything. Ben made us feel as though we could trust his process and was very transparent when explaining when he could get the product to us - even despite how busy he was, it was still extremely quick service!
It arrived this morning and the quality of his work is amazing and exactly what we were looking for. It is a beautiful piece and we really think it’ll make the person it is intended for very happy.
Diolch o galon Ben!

From the moment I spoke to Ben I just knew it was the right place to go to for my Mum’s ash memorial slate. He was warm & friendly while I tried to explain what I had in mind for the slate. Literally within minutes he’d sent me an email with many beautiful examples of his work. Within hours Ben had done the first proof having managed to decipher the ideas I had spoken to him about. There were only a couple of extremely minor tweaks like how the date looked & reducing the size of a flower which was all done super quickly & a new proof sent. As soon as I saw it my eyes welled up & I knew it was the perfect tribute & reflective of my Mum. A couple of days later & Ben sent me a picture of the final work I’d approved ready to be sent directly to the burial site. Ben is exceptionally talented, not just with the skill he has to engrave the slate but in interpreting my words into the stunning slate. Thank you so much I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Ben produced a beautiful engraved memorial plaque on Welsh Slate. The slate is very good quality and sturdy with the engraving painted white. Looks lovely and my dad would have been proud. I had an excellent, fast service from Ben and he sent it extremely well packaged on a next day delivery, once it was ready. Thanks very much for your thought and care that went into this plaque.

Ben was very helpful and went to a lot of trouble to meet my requirements, even though it was a one-off, small job for him. He kept in touch regarding progress and I am very pleased with the end result. I thoroughly recommend Ben and the Slate Workshop.

Great service. Very helpful chap. Very pleased with the work

A wonderful service from start to finish.i enquired about the possibility of having the house name using the Greek alphabet. There was no problem at all with this request. The mock up looked perfect and the plaque was received very quickly and looks stunning.

Ben was extremely accommodating, sent a detailed rough of the design and went out of his way to produce the memorial plaque for my wife's grave to a tight deadline. The final product was tasteful and expertly engraved exactly as the person who recommended Ben said it would be.

Well pleased with the Slate house plaque I ordered. Beautiful craftsmanship. When I talked to the Slate Workshop they were very helpful and explained the options clearly.
The plaque is a lovely piece of Slate, a lot thicker than usually see.
More expensive than some but it really is a case of you get what you pay for...worth every penny!!
