I’ve had Smith Thompson's Home Security for a few years now, never encountered any problems. Great customer service, with a caring and courteous voice on the line whenever I accidentally set off the alarm. Which triggers a call from the monitoring center with a response time that is second to none. A very fair and comfortable price for an excellent service. Also payments are quarterly rather than monthly, which is another added convenience. Solid, economical, and highly recommended security – thanks!!!

Wow. Just wow. I had an excellent experience in getting an existing alarm set up with this company. The initial phone call and quote was a breeze and when the technician arrived, he stayed true to the quote and got me fixed up quickly. The technician was on time and knowledgeable and the monthly fees beat anyone around. I highly recommend this company!

We are so impressed with Smith Thompson! We have been with ADT for 5 years and the price just kept going up and up each year. Once we learned that ST would monitor our home and could use the same equipment we already had installed from the other company, we were sold.... especially at such a low price! We are paying less than a third of what we paid at the other company but no contract and price will not change. ST came and installed within 10 minutes and we have been so happy we made the switch ever since:)!!!

We were looking for a home security system and were told by several friends and family members that Smith Thompson, the family-owned company out of Plano, was the one to go with. We called and someone was out within a few days. He was at our home for about 30 minutes to set things up [there was an existing system] and he was very thorough and nice. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Clint activated our system in dripping springs. He did a great job and did not try to upsell a bunch of stuff that we didn’t need. He was professional and very knowledgeable. We used smith Thompson in Harris county for many years and never had a complaint about their staff or service they provided.

Smith Thompson is the only company out there that does not make you sign a contract for your home alarm security service. They only charge you a one time fee of $89 for the wireless transmitter device that they install--so you don't have to have a land line to have the service through them. I think I am paying only $16.99/month. No other equipment needed. This is what I like about Smith Thompson.

I spent alot of time looking at different security service providers in central Texas and after some consideration, decided on Smith Thompson. After years of working with large, impersonal companies like Brinks and ADT, it was a breath of fresh air to find a smaller, established, reputable company based out of Dallas that provided monitoring services for $16.95/mo (same rate since 1978). The sales guy was knowledgeable but not pushy. When I called back a couple of weeks later, the same guy picked up the phone. The installer really knew his stuff and was very professional and efficient. So far (about a month in), we have been pleased with the service.

Great service! Technician arrived on time and was very courteous. He went through all the settings and how to use the system. Then confirmed i understood how it all worked and answered my questions. I didn’t feel rushed at all. Would highly recommend.

We wanted to install an alarm system after a burglary happened next door. We went with Smith Thompson at the recommendation of a friend. We have been pleased with our service. The install was great. Easy and convenient. The alarm has actually been set off once at 2:30 a.m. due to some crazy wind and they called within the minute to make sure we were okay. It was a relief to know they were actively monitoring since the door was wide open. Could have been a different situation. Super pleased with our service.
