Two Quotes , one from Chief promising and the other from Helcro expensive but still possible.
I've a fair idea, thanks to your site, of what I want.

Easy to sort
I’ve just come over from the U.K. and didn’t know where to start or who to trust in this area.
I saw solar quotes on you tube and liked the presentation they provided.
I sent an email and was contacted straight away although they could only provide one trades person for my area. When there was difficulty in making contact they chased him up and I’m waiting for his quotation shortly. This was made worse as it was the Christmas period.All going well so far.

1 of 3 companies did not bother to…
1 of 3 companies did not bother to contact me even after being reminded twice. The other 2 quoted systems that seem far too large for a person living on their own and one of those also did not quote for a battery despite me stating that was one of my preferences. Very dissatisfied with the quality of quotes.

Trust issues!
Of the two quotes we requested only one has returned a quote for a battery system including some extra panels.
I realize that companies may close for Christmas.
My greatest concern is that one of the recommended companies has an excellent installation history according to Google reviews, but an appalling after sales service record!
Something that would worry me considerably, so I'm not sure how well I can trust SolarQuotes recommendations.

I want to reassure you that we have a very stringent vetting process for every installer we recommend. This includes checks on installation quality, customer feedback from public reviews, electrical licences, credit checks and much more. Our vetting does not stop once a company is approved. If we hear about after-sales or service issues, I personally always follow up directly with the installer and take action where needed. Installers who do not meet our standards are removed from our network.
In the rare event that a customer does have a poor installation experience with one of our recommended installers, they are also covered by the SolarQuotes Installation Guarantee, which I hope provides additional protection and peace of mind:

Knowledge Is Power
I have been engaged with Solar Quotes for over a year. The timing for the original quotes wasnt quite right, so we didnt progress. During this time, we replaced our roof. Solar Quotes provided frequent updates on various developments and options for solar systems. When the timing was right, I felt confident in my knowledge, contacted Solar Quotes again, where they happily provided contacts for recomended installers. We have now selected an installer from the Solar Quotes referral. We have utilised the knowledge I have acquired from Solar Quotes (and other sources) to discuss options with our installer and look forward to having the new system installed in a few weeks.

The quote request process is straightforward and asks the right questions to get you the most suitable quotes based on your responses. On this occasion, I am still evaluating the market as, due to demand, only 1 installer was available to choose from but their pricing was definitely competitive. I have previously used Solar Quotes for our new solar system and was not disappointed with the options. The installer we chose was excellent and was on budget and on time. The website is also an invaluable resource to research your queries on all things solar.

Requesting quotes almost useless. Use the site info
Was given names of 3 businesses who would quote. 4 days later (near Christmas) only 1 responded with an email and no follow-up. Meanwhile I used website recommended installers near me in country NSW to get a quote and proceeded.
Information on website seems good, so I used that. Requesting 3 quotes was a waste of time
