CEO doesn't no how to respond to a email

I send a kettle back to the CEO and I emailed him today 3 times I'm still waiting for a response so why have a CEO and pay him the big bucks if he can't be bothered to email back but was delivered to his office today so let's see if he can at least send a letter to me? Billy Taylor

Highly recommend company with…

Highly recommend company with impeccable aftercare service from Lucian and the team.
We purchased a Russell Hobbs Steam Generator iron in April 2025 and unfortunately the item developed a fault which was quickly resolved and handled without any fuss.
I can’t thank them enough for a brilliant service A***

Just purchased a Russell Hobbs toaster…

Just purchased a Russell Hobbs toaster through this company opened it Xmas day. Used it Boxing Day only half the elements light up contacted Russell jobs who said it’s not there responsibility so they won’t do anything about it and today my daughter put it on to do a crumpet it started sparking and smoke was coming from it it’s now In My shed waiting for 1 of these companies to take responsibility for this very badly made item I would not buy anything made by Russell Hobbs or through the company spectrum brands Robert stanley

I ordered through Tesco marketplace, the Russell Hobbs kettle I purchased came along with a leak that nearly scolded my child. I started the returns process, heard absolutely nothing. I pestered Tesco, they sent me a returns label eventually. I then heard nothing else, nothing about returns, whether they've received it or not. I phoned and got through to Russell Hobbs themselves somehow and again have heard nothing back. It wasn't cheap and I'm left out of pocket. The service had been beyond poor. Do not use this provider

Lesson learned - don’t use this company

Wish I’d read the reviews before ordering a replacement jug for Russell Hobbs coffee maker from them. Did not receive an email confirming the order. Delivery arrived via DPD - was obvious the parcel contained a lot of broken glass. DPD put through a rejection. Then I got a delivery from a different company via Royal Mail - again a box of broken glass with no paperwork inside so unable to return. Will write this off as a bad experience and never use them again.

Poor-quality product & awful customer support

Avoid!!! The large rice cooker is faulty, and the replacement products that Spectrum Brands sent were also faulty. Now Spectrum Brands are asking me to send the faulty product at my expense. Awful service and poor-quality products. You buy any Russell Hobbs products at your own risk.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!

I purchased a Russell Hobbs kettle on the 29th March, from Russell Hobbs direct, which is now owned by Spectrum Brands, but was sent an iron in error. After numerous phone calls to customer support, which is not an easy department to deal with as I got different information every time, I eventually got a returns label for the iron, and requested a refund on its return. I returned it and had proof of its receipt back at the warehouse, but no refund was received. I had already raised a complaint via Paypal which thankfully I'd used to purchase from Spectrum Brands/Russell Hobbs, but no response from the seller, so I escalated the complaint, and received the refund the same day from Paypal. I would never purchase anything from this company again! If I could have given no stars I would have! Altogether a very unpleasant experience 😕.

I bought a kettle from this company and decided to return it. ı think they create a case on their end once I created a return request. Someone was chasing me up via email. After I posted the product, I shared the tracking number.
After 2 weeks, they came back to me saying they haven’t got the parcel.When I checked the delivery company, I could see it was delivered with a photo as a proof.Now they are asking me to send the proof of receipt of return?!It is not possible for me to make up a delivery number and spoof the delivery proof, is it? I gad to pay the return fee which is fine but this is not acceptable. It is not my problem if they cannot find the return parcel!I should be suspicious when the address for return seems weird!
They don’t have a proper return/refund process! Never buy a product from them ever again including Russel Hobbs, Remington!!

Appalling company who have been useless in trying to get a faulty Russell Hobbs appliance returned. I believe they own the RH brand but nobody even responded to my email re this. Dealing with RH directly has been extremely frustrating/time consuming and only after an argument, would they agree to paying for the postage and provide me with the appropriate return label - for a faulty coffee machine. Why they think I should pay for that is beyond me. The product itself is cheaply made, flimsy and very poor value for money. Will never buy a RH branded product again and will try and avoid any dealings with Spectrum Brands due to their terrible/non existent customer service! All the one star reviews on here speak for themselves!

Waiting over 6 weeks for solution

Contacted a live chat about my issue with kettle, send all requested documents, like kettle date code, amazon invoice, photo inside of the kettle, and even they asked for video, I asked my son to do it as I was at work, I was on live chat for more than 30 mins. Final solution you need to wait 6 weeks... "Nice", also its not first product I have issues with. Highly avoid.

Ordered a glass jug for my Russell hobbs coffee machine, requested to return as I had ordered from another source that delivered sooner. I sent the initial request to return via their website , no response. Attempted to contact via online chat, completely ignored, tried calling customer service - no answer, ever! So I emailed and received a response from Alex who asked me to confirm why I wanted to return the item, I politely asked him to refer to the several online/ chat requests I had sent and reminded him that I did not need to explain why I wanted to return as it was my consumer right and to send me a returns slip in order to send back. I was rudely responded to,to say that I would have to arrange my own courier and payment for return and they would happily refund me. Very condescending and unprofessional service, furthermore none of this is stated in their return policy . I gave up and kept the jug, thankfully it was only £8 so seemed too much effort to return and was likely outside of the returns window given this amount of time it took me to recieve a response. Avoid at all costs, especially with the likes of Alex's customer service

Purchased a Russel Hobbs 6litre slow…

Purchased a Russel Hobbs 6litre slow cooker about 9 months ago. Initially worked as it should. Now have significant issues switching the unit on. Spent 5 min trying to turn the slow cooker on. No luck. Switched the small Tesco slow cooker which has worked for 8 years and was much cheaper.

Don’t buy Russell Hobbs!

We were bought a kettle & toaster in December 2020, as Christmas present, both were chrome and copper panelled.

In less than 3 years the copper coating on the kettle body has bubbled and come away from the body of the kettle.

I sent Spectrum Brands a lovely message, with photographic evidence.

Sadly I received an email saying that it was probably my fault due to sun damage or from an external heat damage. I pointed out it wasn’t in the sunlight, nor near an external heat source, and only had low usage, as it is in a 2 person household with a coffee machine so not used often.

Several emails later they have refused to take any responsibility and have just offered me discount if I buy a new one!

I am so disappointed that the quality I expected from Russell Hobbs and Spectrum Brands has been lacking, in both product and service.

It’s so sad that a company buys a reputable brand to then let the standards dwindle as Spectrum Brands clearly has here.

Should a high quality product really be so badly spoiled after such low usage?

Comments: I used this product but it did not work. I showed the Loews gardener a piece of the effected plant. He said it was a fungus and to use your Fungicide. Attached are pictures of: the plant leaves of today, copy of purchase receipt $9.98 from Loews . Your product had NO EFFECT at all. Please refund me the purchase price.

Extremely Poor Services From Spectrumbrands UK

Awful customer services from their Ebay shop! No one is taking any action and repeating themselves with the same questions, hoping to give customer a mental health break down and they have caused me considerable stress and anxiety.
Horrible staff at this company, avoid at all cost.
If you don't want any headaches associated with extremely poor services, avoid and shop elsewhere.
