Excellent first meeting to get a quote
Excellent first meeting to get a quote, very efficient site survey with very accurate measurements which took in all of my requests without needing any compromise, the quote was very reasonable considering the quality of design and engineering manufacture, and the installation was very quick and extremely neat and tidy, I would recommend Stannah to anyone as they were faultless throughout and the product itself is very quiet and efficient.

Service Engineer and customer experience
Prior to the service engineer attending, communication was good. Arrived on time and was very professional and provided answers to my Mother in laws questions about her stair lift and options to improve her experience operating the arm rest switch.

Installation
The two installers were here for about three hours and
fitted our stairs lift with no fuss at all. They were happy to let us see progress made when we wanted
and upon completion explained clearly how it
operated. A pain-free experience.

Engineer turned up on time, listened to what I had to say and on departure the stair lift was operating better than it had for a while. He did well.

Devoid of Customer Service - avoid
The electrical installation was poorly carried out causing damage to the house. Stannah accepted the electricians untruthful explanation of what happened, not mine. The stairlift was delivered without a seat and the remote control did not work as it had not been programmed. Customer Service were defensive and positively unhelpful, if not obstructive.

INSTALLED VERY QUICKLY
I had to have a stair lift installed very quickly and they did the job excellently and it was left very clean and tidy and they made sure that I knew how to operate it and were very kind and helpful.

We can recommend Stannah
We can recommend Stannah, for its sales force being understanding of needs. The finished installation lives up to the best expectations. If you have a new stair carpet, do not expect the fitters to protect it from their work boots when requested. Perhaps fit your own carpet protection, even if you cannot yourself bend down to lay it.

Niggles with service.
A stairlift is of little use if it is not working. Mine never failed to do the job of getting me up or down our stair case. But It did develop a fault in the foot-rest raising and lowering mechanism, initially failing regularly to act on button press without a nudge from my foot, this deteriorating to every time I wanted it to act. As the call-out charges are high I put up with this irritation for several months until it was due a service. The fix involved replacing the clutch, since when it has worked properly for the first time in a long while.
