Hot outside but cool inside.
With the heatwaves, the Starbucks' shops have a wonderfully cool 😎 air conditioning system in each one, always sit comfortably, no matter how hot or cold outside.
Poor service
Went to Starbucks Plymouth on Mutley Plain to have a coffee. To my surprise, there were sone chairs blocking the acces to the toilets. When I asked what what time they closed, I was told they close at 20.00. It was 18.00 when I order my coffee and, again to my surprise I was given takeaway coffee. I told the girl that I want a stay in coffee. The was visibly annoyed that I dared to asked my coffee to be served in the espresso cup and not takeaway.
She changed the takeaway cup with espresso cup at my request. She then continued her talk with her colleague.
Very poor service. Perhaps they need to be trained in customers service skills, as is so obvious they are lacking in the skills.
Cashless despite saying they aren’t
Despite all the articles online and them saying they aren’t cashless, once you go to a Starbucks and order in the drive through and you go to pay with cash, that is when you find out they have gone cashless.

Ordered 2 large ‘tasteless/flavourless’ Frappuccinos - 0 cookies & cream taste and 0 Tiramisu taste. Total waste of money - £12.65 for icy/milky water nothing else. Poor.
Service was good though just need to make drinks properly.
Terrible Customer Service
STARBUCKS, ALNWICK, NORTHUMBERLAND.
Served by a very unpleasant young woman, should definitely not be working in customer service! Barely made eye contact with me, drinks shoved infront of me without any pleasantries/interaction. Also, as we were sitting outside I asked for a takeaway cup but she made it in a ceramic mug, eventhough the sticker said 'coffee to go!' She should be lucky to have a job. Such a misery!

Got a coffee before boarding my train at the Starbucks outlet in Basingstoke onplatform2/3. 26.5.25 @13:15p.m Oh my goodness never again. Lady serving was on her phone, she then the clicked her fingers to signal me to the counter! (dumbfounded) and continued talking on her phone for another 3 min loudly clearly non work related and oblivious to customers waiting. Utterly rude.
I mean Starbucks this is unacceptable, where is the basic customer service?? . No apologies to customer. This is the worst I've ever seen and a reason to add Starbucks to the no go coffee shop. Really disappointing.

The Starbucks store on Tewkesbury road in Cheltenham is usually well maintained and consistently delivers a great coffee experience!
The atmosphere is a perfect spot to relax, study or catch up with friends. The staff are usually friendly and efficient, and the quality of drinks made are excellent!
Poor service at Plymouth Drakes circus
We waited 20 mins for 2 drinks and a hot sandwich which were prepared separately with staff serving others inbetween each of our items. I had eaten my sandwich before either drink were made and had finished my drink before my daughters drink arrived. Why not prepare and serve them all at the same time. We will never go there again.

Ok so the coffee was good so was the fruit toast. But the 3 miserable people behind the counter. Were awful don’t get me wrong when they were all chatting they smiled and laughed but customers… blimely they were jaust miserable didn't take a name. Just plonked the drink on the side. With no polite interaction. But if you pay peanuts……
Couldn't supply order but refused refund
Ordered a panini to collect in the drive through (Grantham store). They didn't have the one I wanted and refused to give me my money back. Online customer service refused as well, they all say they can only do a gift card. I've had to chargeback through my credit card company, which is ridiculous. I've emailed and messaged several times back and forth. When the panini wasn't in stock the refund should have been immediate and automatic.
Nonexistent Customer Service!
Customer service support? What is that to Starbucks? It’s anyone’s guess!
I enclose a reply about requesting Starbucks customer service look into the fact that every time I’m trying to purchase - whether it be two weeks in or two months later - new products (ie pistachio or lavender flavoured beverages) they are ALWAYS out of supposed stock in my local area branches? Highly suspicious to say the least yet still advertising these products for ages on billboards both inside and outside the branches.
This was the utterly boring, generic and uninterested reply from Starbucks:

Tooting branch- V poor
Tooting branch- 4 members of staff. Placed order to go, then nothing happened as 2 of them were too busy chatting to each other, the other 2 , 1 was being trained ,then the other man who I think was the manager asked me had I ordered ,said yes 1 shot latte. So he told girl to make. So left, tried it ! Super strong 2 shot. Never going to this branch again.
Exceptional service
Visited the Starbucks in Blackpool this morning... The one opposite the North Pier.
I was impressed with the exceptional service from Rob and James for their friendliness and efficiency. I had a dog with me and was made to feel welcome... So dog friendly. My dog loved it...
The cappuccino was hot and just the right strength. Thank you for the service.
I have used Starbucks in different areas as most are dog friendly...but this one must be one of the better ones I've been in for the service and the genuine dog friendly welcome.

Poor service poor drink
I ordered a medium cappuccino to drink in store at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge. I gave my name and picked up my drink. I’d been patiently waiting , as were others and the drink was placed down with something sounding like my name shouted out. During this time I was watching the banter between staff and observed a server topping up a milk frothing receptacle for another server out of a carton. My drink was in a nice mug, no chocolate on top ( I wasn’t asked if I’d like that, perhaps I should have asked.) When I took a sip the froth tasted funny, I don’t think it was cows milk but may perhaps have been oat or soya milk from the carton I had seen !! And the coffee was very poor. Needless to say I only drank a small amount before leaving. What I should have done of course was take my drink back and complained, but as an older person I find that tricky. Give me a Costa coffee, Pret or MacDonalds coffee any day. I won’t return to Starbucks!!

Due to past trauma I prefer to sit by the window on the sofas at the Newport Gwent shop.
I am a gold standard member and frequent customer.
On entering the shop early this morning I placed my shopping bag (empty,) on the sofa next to the window. An elderly lady was sat by herself, a lady with her shouted at me across the shop, "you can't sit there other people are coming in 5 minutes, move your stuff!"
I replied it is a public seating area so I can sit where I like!
These people frequent this store about once a month if that, I am in every week before going shopping, then going home to sign into my job!
Sometimes 3 times a week!
The staff did nothing, which I am not very impressed with! Something needs to be done about these self titled important people! Taking over sofas that can seat 6-8 customers! Instead of 3 people losing this company custom.
This store gets quite busy, it causes people to look for a seat and leave without buying anything!
Customer service emails do not exist which I find very weird! The staff are very friendly, but surely they should stick to the rule that the customer is always right? Or doesn't that exist in this very large company anymore?
These people completely monopolise a seating area made for more than two people!
They won't share I with anybody which makes this company look bad and gives it a bad name!
Luke warm and tasteless…
Sadly paid over the top for a Luke warm tasteless chai at Exeter train station. Cold place to sit as well.
Animals on furniture ( Starbucks brislington brs )
We use Starbucks brislington most days , today we popped mid afternoon two customers came in with soaking wet dogs which they picked up put them on the bench comfy seats and continued to towel dry them ( the smell was awful please Starbucks put a sign up asking customers not to allow there animals on the furniture I would of been furious if I sat on the seat afterwards 😩😩😩😡
Over priced establishment
Long queue, assistant did not know what was on the coffee and cake special menu. Over priced in every way, the coffee and the cakes. Then had the cheek to add 5p on to each drink for the cup. Adding insult to injury in an already overpriced establishment. All the chairs and tables to sit and drink the coffee were blocked off. Will never use Starbucks again.
Appalling Customer Service
I received appalling customer service in the Starbucks store at Kildean, Stirling this afternoon. I was the only customer standing at the counter and was ignored by every member of staff for a full 5 minutes. While staff were busy, it would not have taken them away from their tasks to have simply acknowledged that I was there, or even better, letting me know approximately how long I would have to wait to be served. I gave up and left. In my previous experiences Starbucks staff are not usually rude, so perhaps in this stores case, it was down to a poor Manager and a lack of staff training since it was every staff member who completely ignored me.
