The customer service experience and the return policy was not good. They charge a $25 restocking fee, which is fine. But they also charge a $55 "open box fee". What they don't tell you in advance is that to return the product, you have to provide them what's called an "IMEI number" in addition to the order number. Well, wouldn't you know it, you must open the box to find that "IMEI number". So even though I emailed back and forth before opening the box to ensure I avoided the open box fee, I was told I had to open the package to get that number. When the return was processed, they charged me for the "open box fee". I didn't want to open the box. The only reason I did is because they told me I had to so that I could give them this IMEI number. I don't know if this is intentionally deceptive but it sure seems like it. Not happy at all with this company and I would avoid doing business with them if I were you.

Right now I am very unimpressed with the customer service. It appears the phones are lost in the mail and they will not confirm that they will give me refund if I don't get them. My friend told me the customer service sucked, but I wanted the idea of getting rid of distractions. They even told me I had to follow up with fedex. As the receiver fedex won't give me more than what I can see online, that the package is essentially missing. They could have assured me they had my back but instead wanted to argue about everything. If you are even thinking of getting this phone don't do it, just take your iphone have your spouse take everything off and set a code so you cannot add it back, problem solved and Apple as way better customer service. They would have been like if you don't get it we will refund you or send you a replacement but wisephone refuses to put that in writing to reassure you that they got your back. At this point even if I get them and keep them I am only going to use it as a paper weight.

Yolani was very thorough and patient. She made herself available to me over several days and made sure I was all set up. I know I can still call if I need to still if something else comes up. I am over the moon in love with this phone. Freedom tastes so sweet. :-)

First "grownup phone" for our 17 year-old
After looking at a couple of options, our 17 year-old daughter chose Wisephone II as her first "grown up" phone. Setup was easy, and so far it works great for our needs (basic texting/calls, Life 360, and Spotify). My husband and I Brick our smartphones but we wanted to essentially give our daughter a chance at the life we wish we could have, untethered from a smartphone.
We bought it during the Christmas season so it came with a code for $14.99 off a month of service and when I tried the code it didn't work. I received an email a couple weeks later reminding me to use it and I responded to the email saying the code didn't work and within hours the company had refunded us the $14.99. I was honestly impressed.

New Phone changed my life
This new phone and software has absolutely made my life better in less than one week of usage! Both of my kids thanked me for switching to a device that takes up less of my attention. My stress is down, anxiety as well. I do not miss the constant notifications from email and social media one bit. The Techless device is called Wisephone 2, and it was the wisest purchase that I have made in years.
Finally, their customer service is 5 Stars!! Tina is absolutely phenomenal at her job. She made me feel immediately like I am now a part of their community.
Happy and proud to be a new part of the community that is taking their time and life back!

I'm so happy with the customer service I received from Yolani at Techless. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient. She guided me through the entire set up process for two Techless Wisephones. I tend to get very confused with this kind of stuff and she made it seamless. Very grateful! I highly recommend Techless. I had such a great experience with this phone company. Everyone I worked with was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. My situation took a little time to sort out, but they never made me feel rushed or like a burden. They were excellent about calling back and texting to keep me updated—whether things were working or still needed troubleshooting. Their communication and customer service truly stood out, and I really appreciated how well they took care of me.

This phone is exactly what I needed that's between the 2 extremes of being addicted to your cell phone and going phoneless. I've done both. After being addicted to my smartphone, I ditched it for a couple years and went phoneless because I could see how much control my phone had over my attention and my time. While phoneless, it was really annoying to the people around me when I asked to borrow their phone to make a call. It was also a struggle at times to navigate new places as I would go the old fashioned way of printing out directions. And I had no way to call if I had an emergency and nobody was around. I compromised and went with a Wise Phone II a little over a year ago, which has been perfect for me. It makes calls/texts, takes photos, has a calendar, calculator, flashlight, and has navigation apps like Waze. There are also other simple apps you can use but most of the time stealing apps are not approved for download. The service has also been great. The only downside is that if you really need an app, they are not currently taking suggestions to add to the tool drawer. I ran into this problem when I wanted an app to communicate with family on a cruise I went on and an app for a CGM monitor (stelo). It was inconvenient but I found another way. I'd rather have it this way than them flood the app "store" with mind-numbing junk and apps that sell your personal info.

The person who helped me did an amazing job. They were professional, kind, and patient! They helped me through carrier issues and set up my entire phone. Having such support made me feel like this phone and carrier were the right choice!

I was having problems with the set-up system: it instructs that the owner of the phone should put in the phone number of the newly purchased phone but the new phone does not have a phone number yet. (I'd like to talk with whomever thought that process was a good idea!) I called and Zazi answered and took care of my issue perfectly and very personably. My suggestion: do not lose that guy, he's one of the few these days who exudes professionalism while actually being pleasant. I'd double his salary, he's worth two less capable / less personable staff members.
