Great ottoman bed
Great ottoman bed - fairly easy to assemble and very heavy and sturdy!
Slight issue with delivery but that was down to the courier company who split the order with one box going to an incorrect delivery depot.
The Oak Bed Company helped to reorganise this part of the delivery.

We ordered new bedroom furniture and…
We ordered new bedroom furniture and are really pleased with the quality and overall look and finish. There were some issues with the delivery company which I won’t go in to in this review, but the oak bed store customer service was really helpful and very responsive. Georgie supported us through ensuring everything was delivered (and replaced due to a broken chest of drawers). We would order more furniture knowing that if anything didn’t go to plan as such with the delivery that it would be sorted in a very timely manner. Love the furniture and love the quality. Thank you

Terrible quality
Terrible quality. The slats were flimsy then one year and a few broken slats later the whole left side collapsed away from the frame showing cheap plywood. Horrified to purchase a bed that only lasted one year!

We're very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience.
After receiving your photographs, we immediately confirmed that the issue was covered under our 5-Year Workmanship Guarantee. We offered to dispatch a brand new replacement pair of side rails for next-day delivery at no cost, as the affected component was fully covered under our warranty.
As mentioned in our email, we'd also like to clarify one point regarding the materials used. The side rails and slat support rails are manufactured from 100% solid Yellow Poplar, not plywood as stated in your review. The only plywood used within the bed frame is in the sprung slats themselves, so the components shown in your photographs is solid timber.
Although we were unable to determine the exact cause of the failure, it appeared to be an isolated issue rather than an underlying manufacturing defect. From the photographs you provided, we could clearly see that the support rail had been both glued and securely screwed during production.
Ultimately, rather than proceeding with the free replacement under the warranty, we agreed a pro-rata refund as a gesture of goodwill, which you accepted.
We're a small family-run business and we genuinely care about the quality of our products and the customers who choose to buy from us. We're truly sorry that you experienced this issue and that your bed did not meet the high standards we strive for, but we hope you can see that we acted promptly, honoured our warranty, and worked with you to reach a resolution that you were happy to accept.

Very positive experience
We are very very pleased with this oak bed frame. It is solid, and has a central supporting leg making it extremely stable (unlike some beds we tried out in a reputable store). The wood is beautiful and the bed has enough clearance under it for storage boxes. Just perfect.
It was packaged extremely well and simple to put together.
The company were very quick to get back to me every time i asked a question and the sample service was good too.
I wasn’t sure about buying a bed online without seeing it first but the company’s communication and the very positive reviews are what persuaded me (plus I couldn’t find what I wanted in a shop).
I would not hesitate to recommend The Oak Bed Company.

Great ordering, delivery and replacement
Easy ordering from clear images and measurements. They kept in touch about delivery.
The headboard had a scratch, we reported next working day and they said they would replace. Courier emailed a new date, we declined and let the company know who immediately got in contact and asked for a day we could do and this we confirmed for us within minutes.
We really like the finished bed and it feels a very well built, sturdy product.

Excellent bed quality, clear assembly instructions, but very poor delivery arrangement
I purchased the Wilmore Solid Natural Oak Ottoman Storage Bed Frame from Oak Bed Store, and the product itself is outstanding. The quality is excellent — the wood feels premium, the structure is solid, and after using it for about two months, it remains very sturdy with no creaking, shifting parts, or instability. The ottoman storage space is extremely spacious and practical.
The assembly instructions were very clear, and the bed was easy to install by myself, which made the whole setup process smooth and stress‑free. Overall, I’m genuinely very satisfied with the bed frame.
However, the delivery arrangement was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the outsourced delivery company.
During the first delivery attempt, the driver did not call 30 minutes beforehand as instructed. The delivery arrived suddenly, causing me to miss the drop-off and forcing me to reschedule.
For the second attempt, I specifically requested an afternoon delivery slot, yet they still arranged it for the morning, completely ignoring my availability.
The product deserves five stars, but the delivery service only deserves one, so I’m giving an overall rating of four stars. I hope Oak Bed Store improves the management of their outsourced delivery partners so that their excellent products come with equally reliable service.
