Very good no scam

Scammers, take your money and do not book your test. Can’t get hold of them and don’t reply to emails - avoid!

I can not compliment the customer service enough at Theory Academy. Their staff are polite, helpful and provide an exemplary service.

Theory have been excellent in helping me get my test rearranged with such short notice. I had no issue with finding the right centre and time to do my theory and the customer service team has been excellent in assisting me with any enquiries or issues with booking my test! I'm very grateful and would recommend everyone use them to get their theory sorted as they have been thr best

Very helpful. My son didn't pass the first time, but we didn't sign up for a guaranteed pass. After talking with them, they gave us a free retake, so my son can now retake it. They didn't have to, but I really appreciate it. Thanks again.

Great communication, easy booking too, had a slight fumble when my test got rescheduled and I missed the email, but they were really accommodating despite my error, wonderful customer service!

After speaking with them they gave us a free retest so my son can retake it now,

Scam service, don’t use.
My son booked his car theory test via this website not realising it wasn’t the DVSA itself as it seemed to present a legitimate booking facility with a date and time picker etc. And it is the top result on Google when searching to book a theory test.
When he arrived at the test centre on the date and time he’d booked they had no record of him at all.
It was only when we phoned DVSA that we found out it was booked for a completely different day and we’d had no communications at all from Theory Academy to inform us of the change. DVSA were super helpful and changed the registered email address on the booking to ours as it was listed as a theory academy address so we weren’t getting any of the official comms from DVSA and theory academy clearly don’t forward them on or provide any communications after you’ve made the initial booking. Useless rip off who charge way over the actual test cost for no additional service at all. And there is no contact details on their website to complain/query anything with them.

Would highly recommend. Communication was great got a fast response when emailing them. 5 stars all round

Booked in through these guys a couple of weeks ago for literally today (09/09/2025) 13:00, and just arrived back after waiting for over an hour for some activity in the building.

I used the intercom a few times, attempted to call someone but nothing. I assumed they were on lunch or…something!

Then a cleaner turns up and informs me it is closed, but after showing her my booking and triple checking I am in the right place (Which I was) with a screenshot of the booking, she let me in the upstairs area as she was confused herself. I managed to film it all shut off on the day and time of my booked appointment.

I have emailed for a refund with the evidence. So basically, they’re booking you into a closed building on the date of your appointments.

Go somewhere else!

Review of Theory Academy – Avoid at All Costs

This company is a complete scam. I booked and paid £47 for my motorcycle theory test on 08 September 2025. When I turned up at the test centre, they had no record of me whatsoever — I wasn’t even on the system, meaning I couldn’t take the test I’d paid for.

Only after contacting the DVSA did I discover that Theory Academy had quietly rescheduled my test to December without my consent and hid the email in my spam folder. When I demanded a refund, they flatly refused.

This is not a professional service — it’s a dishonest money-grab that leaves you out of pocket and without the booking you actually need. The DVSA themselves warned me that third-party booking sites like this are notorious for misleading customers.

Do not make the same mistake I did. Book directly through the official DVSA website. Theory Academy will take your money, change your booking behind your back, and then refuse to refund you when you call them out.

Avoid this site at all costs — it is a scam.

I misread this website while booking and paid more for my theory test than I realised through using this website. However, even though I did not use their resources, they were willing to refund me £23 in order for me to retake my theory test. However, this still means I paid over £23 for my first test which is quite a lot more than booking through the government website.

This service is absolutely amazing! The way they explain everything is clear and easy to follow, which makes learning so much better. The pass guarantee is such a smart and convenient feature it gives me total peace of mind. Honestly, it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had, and I highly recommend it to anyone!
