Stranded during the holidays.
Terrible customer service. Two hired cars, two flat tires, one dead battery. No spare tires. And the tire service does not carry the correct tire!? Save yourself $$$$ and stress, avoid The Out. Lost two days of travel and occurred extra expenses to get back to London. We had to leave the car as we could not drive it. Their response was to waive the fuel refill!!!!! We couldn’t drive the car to refill it!
You were contacted through the proper channels. As your roadside team came to our car, and was unable to fix the tire. How can you say we did not contact you properly!?! When we spoke to the associate about the breakdown they were happy to take our information and send the repair van. The associate never let us know we needed to place a separate call. How is that on us?
We are very reasonable, but you continue to nickle a dime us after we lost two days of planned activities and incurred costs to get to our flight on time. One day of rental and a half tank of gas hardly makes up for the lost time, hotel expenses and alternative transportation.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how disruptive vehicle issues can be during a trip.
We can’t comment on a separate hire, but we did work to support you on this occasion, including arranging assistance and covering costs beyond what’s outlined in our rental terms. Unfortunately, we weren’t contacted through our breakdown process at the time, which limited how quickly we could step in. Once we were made aware, our team did their best to assist and reduce the impact.
We always aim to respond quickly when issues arise, and contacting us at the time allows us to arrange the appropriate support. We regret that this trip didn’t meet expectations and appreciate the feedback.

Easiest way to drive amazing Land Rovers
Customer service was top notch and very helpful. Collection and drop off actually very comfy with their polite drivers.

Reliable and good service
Reliable, good customer service and cars are well maintained. Alessandro was on time and very helpful meeting us at the airport to pick up the car. The only minor issue is the website/app which sometimes doesn’t work. The chat function is quite responsive though

Exceptional Service
We’ve been hiring cars from The Out since they first began, and the level of service has been exceptional every single time. The team are super efficient, always polite, and genuinely a pleasure to deal with. We really love using them — everything just works seamlessly from start to finish.
One of the biggest benefits is the convenience: they deliver and collect the car directly from your door, which makes the whole experience incredibly easy and stress-free.
On our most recent trip, we had a flat tyre (and a small scrape) while driving in France. One of the agents went above and beyond — she worked most of her Sunday trying to find a garage to fix the tyre, which was amazing. When we returned the car, the team were just as helpful in supporting the insurance claim, providing all the documents we needed without any fuss.
The Out consistently deliver a five-star service — we wouldn’t hire from anyone else
