My car had an engine management light on and I was worried about the range of issues that could be causing it. I took the car into Vasstech Durham and they diagnosed and fixed the fault while I waited.

I was made to feel welcome and had the issue explained to me (glow plug replacement) before I committed to have the work done while I waited. It took about 30 minutes and that included them sourcing the part locally. The price was very reasonable too.

I always worry at car garages that I'm going to be overcharged, or they'll find extra things to do on the car to get more money out of me. It was quite the opposite at Vasstech. They assured me that the glow plug replacement is a common fault and it's a small job for them to do.

The whole experience felt very transparent. I knew exactly what work was being done on my car, how long it would take, and how much it would cost.

This is my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last.

Well after 35 years in the commercial truck trade ie sales, booked sons vw T cross In for service and mot and a few faults Telephone call all complete excellent service and the x2 lads in reception excellent, credit to the company, the reason I took his car to them was the recent excellent reviews, also the technicians are all knowledgeable and yes the price was very good, yes people say take car to the main dealers but when out of warranty the prices they charge are very very high, so try Vasstech I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Rang vasstech Northallerton due to smoke coming from my bonnet of the car, they told me to take it down and they would have a look. A couple of hours later I got a call back and the problem was explained to me. I wasn’t charged for them having a look and they squeezed a little stressed me in! Couldn’t praise them enough, will be swapping from VW to vasstech from now on!

I was visiting my family in Richmond and my VW Touareg dashboard kept flashing up with faults ABS, Parking Brake etc. I contacted Vasstech at Northallerton and they were happy to supply me with a computer read out of the faults, and were happy to advise me what to do.
Great service and happy to help with my problem.
Already recommended this garage to friends in the area.

I don't normally do reviews but i thought these guys are worth a mention. My VW T6 has been in numerous garages over the past 2 years with an intermittent electrical fault that nobody could get to the bottom of. I took to Vasstech and they sorted it within 4hrs labour and I've just test drove it to the south of Spain with no issue. Well done guys. I don't intend to use anywhere else in the future.

Cannot rate this garage highly enough! They have now helped me 3 times this year due to my rather problematic Seat Ibiza. Each time they have exceeded expectations on customer service, being really quick to diagnose and deal with the problems. They also made my life a lot easier by liaising with the warranty company for me. I doubt I will use another garage in the area and would recommend wholeheartedly to a friend.

From day one of finding this company Vasstech at Thornaby I was introduced to the fantastic "Libby" who quickly got my troublesome VW booked in and repaired within a day. Nothing was too much trouble to Libby. I very quickly got my VW Transporter booked in for its first service. Great company lovely staff. Jack and Libby make me want to recommend this company to everyone.

Highly recommend this business, had my Audi Q5 in for a engine management fault which my local garage i use were unsure about, car was fixed the same day with the new OEM part required and problem is now resolved at a very reasonable cost, excellent work and customer service, i will definately be using them again for my services and repairs etc, many thanks again.

Vasstech Northallerton could not have been more accommodating, pleasant and efficient. Despite being extremely busy they fitted my car in immediately and even offered me a lift back to work. Happily not needed as they immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it without even charging me, as for them it was quick and easy to resolve. For me it fixed a noisy problem immediately with no hassle. A friendly, helpful, competent staff and service. I’ll definitely be going back!

My Passat went into limp mode. Main dealer offered appointment 6 weeks in future. I read reviews on Vasstech Knaresborough, phoned them and my car was in 2 days later. 30 minutes later i was back on the road. I will be going there again.

Very helpful company and go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. Even fixed something on my vehicle that I was unaware of (for free :-)

Excellent service at very competitive pricing. Vasstech really helped me with instant response. I arrived on 22nd Sept at 08.45 with no appointment, having seen an emission control warning light on my Audi A4. Immediately the helpful Technician used the diagnostic tool to identify a defective glowplug. The part was ordered, delivered and fitted with a total bill of £35. I was on my way by 09.15. Fantastic team at Vasstech, so professional and efficient !

Great service every time from Ian and the guys at Vasstech Durham. They now look after both our cars (Skoda & Toyota) Honest, polite, knowledgeable it's a pleasure going there, apart from the handing money over bit ☺️

Booked my VW in for a service.( Durham) Excellent communication and service. Were great to deal with and a lot cheaper than main dealer. Vasstech is also recognised by VW/Audi as service centre, so won’t affect warranty/ lease. Will definitely be using again!

Had my transporter in for some minor work recently. Ian at the durham branch was great. Good customer service and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently. Will be going back there in the future for all servicing and repairs work 👍

I booked a service with them for an Audi A1 to avoid being ripped off by the Audi dealership garage. While there were scares along the way, of repairs that I had not bargained for and therefore a hefty bill at the end, Emma dealt with everything efficiently, helpfully and economically. Adding an MOT service at a competitive price also helped avoid me the hassle of another appointment at another time. I would recommend this garage to others wholeheartedly.

Was advised to try here as my usual mechanic was unable to diagnose a problem, due to the specialist equipment required to identify fault. Problem was located and repaired the following day by Vasstech technicians at the Thornaby branch. Staff were great and most helpful, would definitely recommend them.
