I have had no end of issues with this bag. The first one arrived with the zips covered in a black oil which transferred onto my hands. I sent this back, initially customer services were responsive. Second time around same issue, zips caked in a thick black oil. Customer service seems to have dropped off the face of the earth at this point. They asked me to wipe it off and they’d give me a 10% discount. Not exactly the service you’d expect from a high end brand. Now they are completely ignoring my emails. The overall quality of this bag is poor and the experience has been terrible. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Not worth the hassle heavily pregnant.
I don't leave negative reviews lightly and especially independent businesses.. I was bought this bag for my 2nd baby baby shower present, just over a year after this purchased and not even a year after using the bag the strap adjusted has completely snapped making the strap completely unusable. The quality of the hardware when looking at this is essentially just plastic spray painted.
The company were unable to replace this item as they advised it was out of the 12 month warranty period. Unless you're planning on buying this item the day before you give birth, from my experience and reading the other 40% of 1* reviews on here you are unlikely to get a full 12 months use out of a minimum £150 bag. I had also recommended and bought this bag as a present for other friends who I have since found out had had issues with zips and general quality. Based on my experience of the bag and customer service unfortunately I won't be recommending their bags to any more expectant friends.
AVOID unless you want to replace the bag after a year. I've had £40 amazon bags last longer and better quality.
We’ve had the bag for 18 months and it’s in such bad condition. The leather started pealing away after just a couple of months, the hardware plating faded really quickly, the seems started fraying after just a couple of months. The final straw is the zip broke yesterday. When you pay c£200 you expect it to last more than 18 months. So poor. Won’t be purchasing again
I recently wanted to order something from tiba and marl but it was sold out. I emailed to find out when it was coming back into stock and they told me. A couple of days later I received a follow up email to say they had had a return and wanted to know if I would like it. I was so impressed that they had remembered me, and delighted that I now have the gorgeous bag I wanted before my LO arrives.
I ordered a pram organiser bag and it didn’t fit onto my pram properly, kept sliding down handles. Contacted them and asked for a refund, not heard back, even after chasing. I also offered in that email to keep the bag but I’d need proper pram clips to help it fit but wasn’t willing to pay for theirs as another £18! Not heard anything back so I ended up having to keep the bag and also buy pram clips. Feeling quite put out as a busy mum and also now left with a bag that I basically wanted to return as it wasn’t suitable, and down an extra £18 for the pram clips…not to mention x2 lots of postage!
Don't normally leave reviews but felt compelled to write one as I was surprised by the negative comments on here... I recently bought my wife a buggy organiser, backpack and hospital bag but decided to return the hospital bag as the backpack is great and more than big enough for her. Once I'd sent it back, the return was dealt with quickly and without a problem and we're really pleased with the bag. Seems very well made and hopefully durable enough for what is coming it's way soon!
I guess my 1 negative comment would be it would have been useful for there to be a visual on the website giving a clearer idea of what the sizing is like as seeing it in store in John Lewis wasn't really an option for us...
I wasn't sure if I should go for a Tiba and Marl after reading the reviews - but I couldn't be happier! Its amazing quality, it looks great, it has so many handy pockets plus it came with an extra wet bag and changing mat. Its not cheap, but I do feel you get a lot for your money. I especially love the chunky zips and the metal feet is a great touch when using in smelly toilets!
Tiba + Marl is one of those companies that looks better on social media than reality. After being bomarded with ads for weeks, I decided to purchase two of their bags (on separate ocassions) as a change to the standard one that came with my pram. Despite good videos on the website, one was far larger in reality and the other far smaller (Inka). Most disappointing and the reason for this review is the burden to pay return postage every time. It costs a lot on bags and new mums don't have time to be messing around with returns, so this really impacted the experience. At the very least they could offer returns labels which they deduct from the cost of the refund, but the impression I get is they have no interest in making it easy for you.
Before I receive any accusations, the second bag I returned had a couple of personal items left inside it. I had not used it or removed the tags, but I had put things inside to see if they fit (it's too small if you use bottles over 150ml). The email I received informing me of it and the rejected refund felt cold and almost accusatory. It takes an extra few seconds to change the tone e.g. it looks like you may have left some items in whilst trying it, we will need to return this back to you on this ocassion, let us know if you have feedback which could make it easier to understand size in future. Instead I was accused of properly using it.
Mums buy based off recommendation at all of my classes and can't recommend largely because of the returns postage outlay if it's not quite right. The irony is, I was going to buy a third and final medium bag that would have been just right. Take a look at bags in store at John Lewis or go for Storksak, a more reputable brand.
My changing bag which cost £160 has broken. On their website they state ‘Our dedicated in-house T+M atelier will be able to restore and repair your items, so that they can last for as long as possible - supporting circularity and sustainability.’ However when I have contacted them about getting my zip replaced they replied saying they couldn’t do that and suggested I contact a local cobbler. For a company who claim to be sustainable it’s really disappointing that they aren’t able to fix something as integral as a zip. The bag is now useless and will have to stop being used. No local cobblers will be able to replace the zip, if even the company who make it claim to not be able to. Therefore I will have to purchase a new bag (definitely not from Tiba and marl) which is certainly not very sustainable.
Bag looks good but unfortunately the zip broke after 6 months of careful use and because it was out of the one year warranty period, Tiba & Marl couldn't provide a replacement (I bought it a few months before my baby was born in preparation for her arrival so the warranty expired before I had used it for a full year). Tiba & Marl eventually agreed to send a new zip out to me however because it requires an industrial machine I am unable to find someone/a company who can fit it rendering the bag useless. Very disappointing as I paid more for an expensive bag in the hope that it would last. I didn't expect to be paying for a new one after only using it for 6 months. Safe to say I'll be buying from somewhere else next time.
Sent a faulty poor quality bag, and emailed customer services, was told basically to deal with it. Bag is awful, doesn’t stay shape. And they don’t offer anything to compensate or even exchange. Will never buy off them again.
