Used Topcat Blinds last year when moving into flat. Blinds throughout. Quick responses and appt times. Blinds fitted few days later. Great quality, great promotions and friendly staff. About to use them again.

Got all of my blinds from topcat and delighted with them all staff were all so helpful and fitters were prompt and tidy great service would highly recommend thanks guys

Shockingly Rude Customer sevice.l

First of all, the positive and there is only 1. The fitter turned up and worked well. He is apparently new and i hope he is treated well by the company because he is the only member of staff who knew what they were doing and was courteous and well mannered.. However, definitely not the case with the remainder of the staff.
Let down by first person to come to assess - didnt turn up. Second person to assess and measure did and he was fine.

5 weeks later (which given we were dealing Covid, I wasn't too surprised) I was given a date and time for fitter to attend with agreement that i would be phoned 30 mins prior fitter's arrival. No phone call. Text to previous message number from them, asking for the companies phone number. No number given but various other text messages then a phone call. Apparently fitter had damaged his hand and was in A&E. Asked if i could speak to manager as i needed blinds fitted that day as was off work to accommodate this (I am considered an emergency worker so getting time off is not easy). I was told there was no manager available as manager was with the injured workman in A&E. When i said I did not believe this as due to Covid only person concerned needing treatment can be in the hosp, i was hung up on! The person i think was called Jordan. I phoned back and got put through to a manager (not the same one who was allegedly at A&E!) called Francesca who was curt and unhelpful telling me i should have more compassion for their workman who was in hospital and that i had made a young girl of 21 cry. Assumptions were made about me and i was told i should understand what was happening as I was an emergency worker!. At that point i was then told it was the director who was at the hospital with the staff member (a Dale Carr is noted as a director on Google). I asked for my money back and was told that they would return it in 2-3 days; however as i had paid half, and give their previous unreliability, i agreed for a fitter to attend the following day, which he did, and as i said, did a good job. I was then phoned and asked to make payment which i have done and then I asked for the name of the director and was told they would not give out his name but would ask him to phone me. The positive is that i was given a discount of £25 for the delays and perhaps the abuse and lies i was subjected to. No phone call so far. However, companies house records a Dale Carr as a director. I fully intend contacting trading standards to pursue this. In the meantime folks, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FRO UNRELIABILITY AND ATTITUDE. However the blinds are fine but the hassle is not worth it.
UPDATE: the director, Mr Carr phoned me as requested. Initially he was supportive of his staff (understandably) but also listened to my perception of the situation and apologised sincerely for being let down and for how I was treated. He offered me free blinds and fitting if I required this for any other windows, but i declined as that was not my motivation in complaining. If he can provide his office staff with some customer training to respond to complaints as he did, and if his other staff are as professional as Darren, the fitter, I then sincerely hope his business is successful. What was an awful experience had, in some way, been rectified by his response.

Appalling! AVOID

Do I really need to give 1 star? Where do I begin. Purchased 1 kitchen blind and 1 bedroom blind back in March. Asked for a blackout blind for the kitchen and was advised the quality of their blinds are “spectacular” and wouldn’t need to pay the extra money for blackout. Paid £80 and the blinds are that see through I can see the house across the road through it. Definitely not worth £80, would’ve been cheaper going to Argos and getting one for £20 for the same quality if not better. Not to mention it wasn’t cut properly and one side is over lapping and the other is 5/6cm too short meaning I can see part of the window. My bedroom blind I asked for faux wood, the exact same as the one in my living room (which was fitted by another company a few years back), this blind isn’t faux wood, it’s plastic. You can almost bend it it’s that cheap. Wasn’t happy at all and phoned the company who said someone would come out to have a look the next day, next day came and no sign of anyone. Phoned the company again who said someone would be out that night, someone came out and agreed the blinds weren't the best quality and was fitted poorly. He scheduled an appointment for the following week but lockdown happened and of course the company had to close. No text/call was made to tell us they wouldn’t be coming out but of course I completely understood due to the circumstances. I have the company on Facebook, 4 months past and I noticed they were back to work, I phoned the office and explained what happened before lockdown, the woman advised someone would come out and have a look and gave me a date and time. No one turned up and the following day I contacted the office, she apologised and gave me another appointment, this was the only appointment they had, meaning I had to take a half day at work, again no one showed up meaning I took a half day for nothing. I contacted the company again and this time I couldn’t get a hold of them. This continued on for almost a week to the point it seemed like my number was blocked, I contacted them on Facebook and they read my message and didn’t reply. I then asked my partner to message them on Facebook because they were ignoring me and within 5 minutes they replied to him. He then phoned the company off his phone and they answered straight away, I’m confused why they ignored me? I wasn’t rude in any way if anything I was calm about the situation considering they didn’t turn up twice. The same thing happened yet again when my partner phoned, twice I was given times and dates and no one turned up. Eventually someone came out and had the cheek to charge us more money to fix them. Was told they would be in touch with a date and time to come out and fit them, we are now a month down the line and no sign of anyone coming back out. I contacted the company who gave me an date and time which bring me up to today, was told between 9-1, phoned the company just to make sure they were coming as I didn’t want a repeat of them not showing up. For the girl to say it’s not on their system even tho it was her I spoke to last week and said she’ll need to reschedule another day. Not to mention I’d just got the kitchen replastered and holes were drilled in the wall and is now visible. Absolutely appalling customer service, cheap blinds and ignore you when they know they’ve done wrong. Got to the stage I can’t be bothered with the back and forth.

Sham of a company!

Sham of a company!! DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE complete rip off ..overpriced, poor quality, rude staff and ill-fitted blinds. Not even worth 1 star but for the purpose of leaving a review i had to leave a minimum of 1 star. Been waiting over 4 weeks for a Manager to call me back. Paid over £350 for a set of intu blinds for my french doors and roller blind for small kitchen window. Blinds were meant to be fitted on 12 Dec, got phone call at 3pm the day before fitting to say that they were cancelling as my blinds were 'damaged'. Lost a days holiday at work because of this due to late notice. Blinds were eventually fitted on 20th Dec, however, fitter bent one of the tracks on my intu blinds and promised he would be in touch after the xmas break to arrange to come back and rectify (still waiting today) after he left i noticed a hole in my roller blind also! Called Salesman to complain, spoke to me in a very rude manor basically telling me it was a fitting issue which was nothing to do with him and that i would need to phone the office. Called the office on 21st Dec was told there was no manager available and that someone would call me back on 23rd. No one has been in touch since despite me leaving a comment on their FB page (which was swiftly deleted) they have blocked me from leaving further comments. Called the office again on the 8th of January, lady who answered was very apologetic that no one had been in touch and assured me a Manager would call me that day....5 days later + still waiting!! I will be lodging an official complaint to trading + consumers standards first thing on Monday.

Shocking service that i witnessed via my mother in law .
Shop based staff were terrible at customer service, and the whole experience of her fitting service and follow up were shocking! It took 3 visits to still NOT get it right so she gave up, contacted the shop/office and their response was for my mother-in-law to PHONE THEM didn’t even have the courtesy to call her back.She ended up very stressed about the whole situation. As well as having to rearrange painters and decorators more than once due to the blinds never being made to the right fit! And also the fitters drilled several holes that were not needed all over the windows which she had to pay to get plastered. Would not recommend. Poor service and product, bad way to run a business.
