Thieving, ghosting, stay away!

I ordered two pairs of GATs. One for me in a size 45. One for my friend in a size 38. They arrived and once I took the first pair out I was certain they were mine, as they were massive, but in fact they were the 38s. I then compared the 38s to a pair of Adidas Samba's where they looked around 3-4 sizes bigger, which is ridiculous, especially as they claim the shoes being true to size.

I tried my pair on and they were a bit small. I usually wear 44.5 but decided to size up, which was still too short in the length. The width of the shoe was roomy to say the least, so a 46 would be WAY too loose on my foot.

They confirmed reciving the shoes and said they would issue a refund within a week or two.

Still having not recivied my money I e-mailed them to remind them of my case.

Still didn't hear back so I sent another mail, still not getting a response, telling them to at least give me some sort of response or I would begin a chargeback.

09-09-24
I contacted my bank to get a chargeback on my card. I just got the money, not thanks to universal surplus.
Absolute disgrace of customer service.

Regarding the sizing, it’s important to note that Adidas sizing can be quite specific and typically runs small. For example, a true EU 42.5 in foot length usually corresponds to an Adidas EU 44.5. This can easily cause confusion when comparing with other brands. That’s why we always recommend checking the CM (centimeter) measurement printed on the inside label of your shoes and using that as your reference, it’s the most accurate way to choose the correct size across different brands.

As for the delay in refund and communication, we sincerely apologize. While it’s not an excuse, we want to share that during the time your return was being processed, we were in the middle of relocating our warehouse. Unfortunately, the move took longer than anticipated and disrupted our operations, causing delays in processing returns and responding to inquiries. Again, we are very sorry that this affected your experience.

We take your feedback seriously and will use it to continue improving our service. If there’s anything else we can do, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Resolved in the end

Bought two pairs of trousers but neither fit. Returned the parcel and after almost a month received my refund. There was a complete absence of communication, even after multiple inquiries about the wait for the refund...

Poor sizing, no refund!

Avoid.
Nought over $100 of clothing, received after very long time and all were wrong size. Spent another $50 to return / refund and never heard anything since. Doesn't respond to emails.
Poor product, no customer service, thieves.

Pas de contact par mail mais réponse par Instagram. Suite à cela le paquet a été convenablement envoyé et la marchandise correspond à la description.

Worst quality ever

Worst quality ever! Terrible customer service!!

Like a fake company how make a trap for customers with advertising! Size is not fit at all, very poor quality and no respond to 5 email after two weeks, don’t buy from this scam!
I paid 100€ for an awful jacket and made 30€ return cost to get my money back. After two weeks I’ve got post notice the parcel couldn’t be delivered and waiting to pick up, No hope to get refund since no one answer my issue.
So I’ve spent 130€ for nothing! I hope this can help others to be aware of this scam!

After reviewing the situation, we can confirm that you returned the jacket without first contacting us. Unfortunately, at that time we had just changed warehouses, so your return couldn’t be delivered to our old address and was dropped off at a pickup point instead. Since we hadn’t been informed of the return, we had no way to track the parcel or know it was waiting.

Once you reached out to us, we replied a few days later, and we fully acknowledge that this delay is on us. We're sorry for the lack of communication and the confusion this caused.

That said, we did collect the parcel and your refund has now been issued.

We understand how upsetting this situation was and we're taking steps to improve how we handle returns and communication in the future. Please rest assured that we are not a scam, just a small team that had some operational issues during our warehouse move, and we take full responsibility for that.

Is this a scam? Paid the order but never received the items.

We have been waiting for our order for over two weeks and have reached out multiple times without resolution. While the company seems to invest heavily in online advertising, it appears they have neglected their delivery commitments. This experience has been very disappointing.
We hope to receive our refund eventually, although we have very little hope..



After all I received the products and all went well. More proactive communication would have been great but I am happy with the received items.

Broken garment and no response to emails

Sent me a destroyed pair of green shorts with massive red stains all over. Still haven't replied to my complaint even though one week has gone since I sent the email. An absolute joke of a company. I recommend anyone to stay clear of Universal Surplus and buy from serious and trustworthy vintage stores like Broadway & Sons instead.
