But it's true that sometimes Updraft is a bit complex and seems illogical when it comes to managing license, account, billing and everything else.

Rock solid product and fantastic support
I have been using the paid for backup plugin for years, it has always been great, never failed to restore when needed, I have also been using UpdraftCentral for several years and that is great too, makes managing multiple sites a breeze. When I have needed support they have always been very very helpful.

Reliable and Wonderful Backup Solution
I've been relying on Updraft Plus for several years, running it on multiple client sites. It just works. It saves me tons of time, I don't need to monitor my backups, and I can save them to pCloud.
I also use it regularly for migrating sites, it's a no-hassle solution that works every time.
Support is excellent, I typically get a response within hours.

Best Backup Service Around
UpdraftPlus saves us a tremendous amount of time. It's a "set it and forget it" solution that ensures all of our data is protected. In addition to the great product, customer service is fast and usually resolves the issue on the first contact.

Thanks for reinstalling our site
My host's support destroyed our website during the last technical update. Luckily I had Updraft backups of our site. Since the whole mess was so mixed up I needed the Updraft's Premium support to reinstall the site. It took a few weeks because of waiting times, but my site is up and running again without any problems now. Thank you, Updraft Premium.

This product is incredibly pointless
This product is incredibly dangerous. Got backups saved on Google Drive, then a stupid developer decided to delete them from Wordpress and guess what??
They also get deleted from Google Drive, which is seriously dumb, only then you realize they have paid option to get deletion option locked.
I would have preferred to pay from the beginning, just incredible and unbelievable.

Hello, we are really sorry to hear the issues you have been having.
It sounds like your developer accidentally deleted your backups - this is really unfortunate, but we can offer some advice that could help.
1) If you do not have the option to “Delete local backup” checked your backups might be in your wp-content/updraft of your site via FTP - It’s a long shot but it’s worth checking.
2) You can lock your backups with the free version but this just stops the backup from being automatically removed - you can still manually delete them.
3) Is your site live at the moment or is it down? If you have a backup of your DB and Uploads anywhere, plugins and themes can be downloaded again. You would still need to configure them again, but it would be enough to start rebuilding your site with. We would be very happy to help you with this - please email support@updraftplus.com, and a member of our team will assist you with the rebuild.

4 years and going strong. Feel so secure with updraftplus
We've used updraft gold since when we first started our agency about 4 years ago and we are so happy that we did. We've had nothing but good experiences and it's saved us more than once.
I don't often need to use their support, but when I do then it's been great. Most recently Vanessa helped us a ton with a bit of a complex issue that we had and she went above and beyond for us!
Lifetime member here for sure.
