UPS deliver V bad service

UPS deliver V bad service. Driver doesn’t knock on door just left parcel at the door in the public eye. Customer service no help either as no one was home at time of delivery. I was on to a customer service provider called Sarah and all she could say to me was “What do you want me to do, he is no longer in the area”. Parcel could easily be lifted from my garden and also have it all on my ring door bell.

Awful experience with UPS Ireland

I had a parcel expected to be delivered last Friday. I stayed at home so I could receive the package, the main door to the apartment block was open all day. Then I get a notification around 1pm, saying they tried to deliver it at 12:15pm. No phone call, and the door was open all day…after this happened I changed the delivery address to my workplace because there is a person there 24/7 and could receive it on my behalf. I sent the request on Friday at 1:09pm and I still haven’t got a new delivery date. Tried calling twice yesterday and was told I should get a new date within 24 hours on the first business day after the weekend since I sent the delivery change request on Friday. Communication is terrible, my parcel was urgent and I had no idea UPS was this bad. At this point I don’t know what else to do, I asked could I get it dropped off to a collection point and the operator told me they don’t know where the package is. I’m very disappointed with UPS, will try to avoid them from now on.

Sent a parcel to Canada with UPS/excess fees

Sent a parcel to Canada with UPS. Delivery and timing were perfect.
My complaint is that on the day of delivery I received 3 texts one minute apart stating I need to pay further charges or they would add additional fees at the destination door. No invoice, no mention what these fees were for. Just pay. There was no duty as parcel was a gift and worth €25. The extra fees were about the same amount as the original cost for delivery. I paid and then contacted UPS to ask for an invoice so I know what these charges are for. To date I have been in contact with four UPS contacts and they all say nothing to do with them and pass it on to someone else. Still no info. And no interest.
Will not use again.

Another delivery fail by UPS

EDIT: 2 days later, I received a valid PIN code for my delivery, after some back and forth with the customer care team. Updated to 4 stars for the effort of the customer care team - Raja, Connor, and anyone else who participated in resolving the issue, including the backend team.
However, a big minus to the UPS CSTS Ireland Ltd, who fail to identify themselves when calling from what seems to be scam phone number that cannot be called back. UPS Ireland - ladies and gentlemen, I'm fully confident that you are capable of putting a better effort for the last-mile delivery and communication thereof, so please, make that effort.

I used the option to deliver to an automated delivery box location. Getting an error when entering the tracking number for 4 days straight. Customer support in India mentions a "PIN code" that I was suposed to get but clearly didn't... another disgraceful fail by UPS!

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service. I had flyers ordered for an event for my business which were ordered over a week before. The flyers were delivered the day after the event took place. They were due to be delivered on Thursday before the Sunday event. I spoke to no one who was helpful on the phone, I lodged a complaint and no one from the complaints team contacted me, despite the fact I was told multiple times they would within 2 hours.

I absolutely do not recommend.

Couldn't deliver my item 2 times

Couldn't deliver my item 2 times - says driver can't call. I live in an apartment and the driver would need to be granted access by me to get inside. Called and asked why they didn't call when they were at the property and they said the drivers don't have receiver's details. I asked if they have a holding facility where I could go and collect and no, they shipped it back to the sender, This happened twice for the same order. Ended up cancelling it and ordering a refund, I don't think I would have gotten my order.
Did not appreciate the lack of effort to communicate with me and arrange any alternatives.

Please DO NOT USE UPS!!

Please DO NOT USE UPS!!! Delivery service is just simply unacceptable! I had lost items, had to wait for refund for months...
Also had damaged items, where I was told the process takes weeks so I gave up on that...
Now my item was delivered to some random address and received an item not belonging to me! Rang UPS (30 mins waiting) and was told driver will be back within an hour, that was 3 days ago!!!

Avoid where and when possible

Horrendous delivery in our local area, to the point where I avoid ordering from places that I know use UPS. Customer care are helpful in getting the package redirected to a pick up point, but this isn't possible if a signature is required.

There is no one to share feedback about improving what is obviously a very broken system. Both my partner and I have tried to work with them and give feedback, but it falls on deaf ears. We reckon the delivery driver for our area does not attempt to make deliveries when they say they do - and no one in UPS seems to care!

Is this incompetence or pure robbery?

I sent. A package with a high end whiskey and they list it , ok fair enough, it happens, it then they found it , opened and sent me a photo of the bottle.. great they found it and then a week later it vanished .. incompetence or robbery.. the picture shows it in the person desk at UPS.

Very disappointing!

Can you trust the UPs service with high value goods??

Parcel dumped outside

I paid a lot of money for my items, for them to be dumped at my front door in the pouring rain, and left there for hours is APPALLIN😡

Worst courier company EVER!! I cannot understand why reputable business’ use this company or even how they are allowed to continue operating. They refuse to deliver to rural areas and 100% of the time use the incomplete address excuse to buy more time even though address is correct.. I paid for express 1/2 day delivery and a week later my package is in a warehouse in Dublin somewhere .. DO NOT BUY FROM A COMPANY WHO USE THEM

The absolute worst

What a dreadful experience. UPS are absolutely shocking and the call centre is a joke .
My parcel hasn't been delivered in over two months and the sender has been given incorrect information that I have refused an attempted delivery. This is totally untrue . I managed to get a refund via PayPal but will have to write off the customs duty. The company now are claiming I have acted fraudulently based on UPS giving false information to them ... what a mess

UPS were difficult to deal with

UPS were difficult to deal with. I was waiting on a parcel from them for an item I ordered online. The last time I ordered something online from that sender, they sent it to me via DHL, which allowed me to add specific notes and instructions for my delivery. UPS, however, only deliver Monday to Friday during business hours while I'm in work. They would not agree to leave the parcel outside the door or to leave it with a neighbour, or to give me a specific delivery time, nor would they let me collect the parcel from a ups access point or let me change the address to be delivered to my work. I rang them twice to ask about all of this as I could not take time off work to wait at home all day for the parcel. I would have been happy to have collected the parcel from an access point in the city. They proceeded to attempt to deliver it twice, even though I told them I wouldn't be able to be at home. On the third business day, my housemate was at home and thankfully was able to receive the parcel for me. The delivery driver banged on the door quite aggressively and was very rude to her, and complained to her that it was his third time trying to deliver the parcel. This was really terrible customer service. He had no right to speak to her like that and had I been able to edit my delivery in the first place, he wouldn't have had to make three attempts. I am aware that his time has been wasted unnecessarily, when his company was made aware that no one would be home to receive the parcel. More flexible delivery options are needed.

Two stars over one because the parcel was in good condition when received.

Worst service ever

I am expecting a parcel which contains client samples. This parcel is worth over 1000 euros. Our cliens keep calling us and askign when they will be receiving samples and UPS can't even tell us when our parcel will be with us. At this point I have called 10 times, spoken with 10 different customer service agents. Each time they tell me the same: give us your phone number and someone will call you within the day with an update. 7 days later nobody had called and I am still waiting for a parcel I paid 240 euros in customs to import. And now I need to order it again, pay over 1000 euros again, pay import fees again and airfright it because UPS can't deliver a parcel in time.

Without a doubt the worst courier…

Without a doubt the worst courier service I have ever dealt with. The UPS driver threw the parcel, which weighed 8kg, over a 7ft locked automatic gate at my property. It broke the contents and after months of calls to their disorganised customer care lines I have received no satisfaction from them . Avoid at all costs.

Honestly an opinion from someone who…

Honestly an opinion from someone who worked for years in groupage and multidrop deliveries ,
This is the worst service i have ever experienced , with 37 years on this earth,
Ordered online , didnt recieve package in a week, contacted seller and he gave me a tracking number, which is not in ups range but still starting on a week for one parcel from germany , just in time is not working here,
So i tracked the parcel and said to be delivered the next day , i said fine , no contact next day and no parcel, so i registered to organise a different delivery , and it would not work ,
3 days past after the week and no package or a call from driver or customer care,
And when tracked says our packege is been held to check , possible customs ,
So i rang customer care and he said three delivery attempts been made , but could not get anyone,
Not one contact off the driver ,
Now from someone who did multi drop and actually did it for a large company ups aquired in ireland, we would of been dismissed if we didnt make contact a half hour before delivery , especially if a private residence ,
Is the standard of service just dropping in the industry , i havnt worked in the industry in near a decade ,
But so far id consider this shocking customer and delivery service ,
Now while i contacted customer care again, i asked to change the delivery to my work premises , which is 24/7 and they cant possibly miss the delivery ,
Agent said yes it will go out tomorow friday to this address,
Now here i am saturday , no package , tracked it again , it now says will be delivered monday, and still no contact from a ups staff member , driver or customer care ,
I am now coming into third week of an item , that if i picked up myself and drove home by road , it wouldnt of took two days, and with alot of airfreight , would be here in three hours ,
And to make worse , not the slightest bit of contact from any ups member of staff and it in its third week,
I think this is ahicking sevice, do they not have debrief teams that if an item is not deliverd on the day , the debreif team should make contact to organise best resolution ,
Its rediculous ,
And ive used alot of courier and first time ups , and innmy eyes this standard has put them right at the botom of irish courier services ive recieved .

UPS makes 1 delivery attempt and calls it final.

Update: After Connor at the UPS team picked up on this review he got it sorted. Goods recieved and all is well.
Connor handled it great and him and his team saved the day.
There is still some work to be done at UPS in terms of providing their drivers with the means to communicate with the recievers. Also shorter delivery windows (8am -7pm is a bit too general.) But the support team is great once you reach them. 😀

Old review for context:
Ups made 1 delivery attempt to my home in the middle of a workday. Then marked it as final attempt. Driver didnt try to contact me. No way to communicate with them.

Overall the most abysmal delivery service there is in Ireland. If I could rate it a zero I would.
