Phoned vodacom wanted a early upgrade it's only dew next month rigth talked to the lady's asked for that favor they told me its fine did the upgrade already told my mother something beautiful is on its way for her only to find out a wrong line that was a cheap line is more expensive now and the line i wanted to upgrade was never done many years a client and you guys lied to me like I told you on hellopieter you will only hear bad things from me for this 2 years I need to pay and I can guarantee you nothing will happen to that lady who did that upgrade

I ordered a phone with Vodacom 6 days ago. I was advised that the phone would be delivered within 3 to 5 days. It's been 6 days, and the phone hasn't even been dispatched yet. Vodacom customer care staff are completely useless. Now I have to wait another 7 days. I'm cancelling my contract with that backwards company. They didn't even have the decency to tell me the bloody phone is out of stock!

One big scam
I have been a loyal customer since 2000 and currently have five contracts with this company. Recently, I discovered several discrepancies in my account. I discussed these issues at length with a representative who assured me that an investigation would be launched and that I would receive a credit for the inconvenience I experienced. However, I have since called back three times and have been given the runaround. When I send an email, I receive a scripted response. As I mentioned to the representative I initially spoke with, I feel like I am being scammed by this organization. It is unacceptable, and I am prepared to take this further. Clearly, "Customer Care" is just a title with no real meaning.

Disappointing Experience with Back Orders at Vodacom
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Vodacom regarding my recent order.
After placing my order, I was later informed that the item is on back order. What is frustrating is the lack of clear communication and transparency about how long the delay will take. As a customer, I expect to be informed upfront if a product is not readily available, rather than finding out after committing to the purchase.
The delays have caused major inconvenience, especially since there has been little to no proactive updates from Vodacom. I’ve had to follow up multiple times just to get basic information, which should not be the case.
Vodacom is known for being one of the leading service providers, but this experience does not reflect that standard. Better stock management and communication with customers are needed to avoid situations like this.
I hope Vodacom improves its processes to ensure customers are properly informed and not left waiting indefinitely without clarity.
STAY AWAY FROM VODACOM FIBRE
I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or lose my mind at this point.
I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for my fibre installation, and somehow Vodacom manages to close my ticket every single time claiming it’s been “installed” — when in reality, the job is completely incomplete.
How do you mark something as done when it clearly isn’t? No communication, no accountability, and no sense of urgency. I’ve had to follow up over and over again, only to be met with the same recycled response and zero actual progress.
This is beyond poor service — it’s outright misleading. Closing tickets to make it look like work is being done while the customer is still sitting without fibre is unacceptable.
At this point, I’ve wasted weeks of my time chasing something that should have been sorted in a few days. If this is the level of service before installation is even complete, I can’t imagine what support will be like after.

Literally the worse Isp I have ever had. One week it works perfectly fine then next week it stops working. Like what is the point of having a service that you can't provide. If someone sells you a laptop and says for a whole week every month the laptop won't work, are you going to buy it? They should just stick to there contracts and stoo waiting people's time.

Terrible service , their manager Mathapelo Smith has terrible service. Vodacom actually encourages you to go to the Ombudsman.

Purchased 2 phones. 1 phone had problems with the charging from day 1. Took the phone in. Over a month in for repairs and thrn thry say i damaged the phone so i must pay for the repairs. To all south africans - be very careful. Vodacom is useless, pathetic and a bunch of crooks. Stay away from them. Once the contract is signed, you shit in their eyes
Vodacom fibre is not trustworthy
Day 22 in March 2026 and Day 14 of this current episode of no Vodacom fibre service in my home.
3rd time Vodacom called to say they were coming to resolve the issue and 3rd time they did not come. 3rd time I waited for them all day.
This is the service standard that Vodacom offers in 2026.
Be careful trusting Vodacom with providing your fibre services.
You will regret like I am.

InStore branch wont let me return my contract phone I purchased 2 days ago , as it's not "faulty" however the terms and conditions say I can return a phone within 14 days if its undamaged etc, I'm just incredibly disappointed. ive been a consumer for years and when I need help im told sorry we can , yet your T & C says otherwise , I will never take out another contact with you guys

Yes actually you can please let me know why vodacom billed my son Christopher Garcia R1500 for data after his contract ended and didn't advise him and then he gets blacklisted. We lost a flat due to Vodacoms illegal charges. Your legal department is useless. I'm canceling my number with vodacom and putting this all over social media.
Impossible to stop recurring payment on E sim
Vodacom is sly ,devious ,underhand and I would say avoid at all costs .
Created a recurring Power plan without my knowledge on my phone . On an E travel sim - With added funeral cover at an extra cost of R 59 per month .
I am a tourist and do not live in SA . Why would I sign up for a funeral cover in a foreign country- unless of course they know something I don’t know! They make it impossible to cancel this un asked for recurring cost- and I am now in the process of taking matters further with the ombudsman ICASA .

I paid my contract to the last day and when I called vodacom to put in a cancellation, the lady put it for an upgrade and now they are charging me for that upgrade, this affected my credit record badly. When I call them, the number does not exist on contract list because when I spoke to Thapelo who was very helpful, he did what I actually asked. Now I am due to pay lots of money because this vidacom lady decided to put my contract on upgrade since I rejected the offer she gave me. So easy to take a contract but its a hassle to close it. They are at a point of blacklisting me and yet they are at fault.
