The team was great. Installateur was friendly, confident and did a great job.

One small note for the company: I asked about the area to be concreted and got that info from the office, however the information was wrong, so I had to add the concreted area and the sparky had to come back 2nd time. My suggestion: technical team should be the one who can advise customer. All in all though the team was great.

Voltx did a fantastic job! Battery was installed quickly and very neatly I’m very impressed with the whole team.

Overall, the product is quite good however they have been let down from the beginning because of poor communications between me the Customer and Voltx Energy

Worst customer service experience I've ever had!

After seeing multiple reviews about messy and poor battery installations on other platforms because Voltx uses sub contractors, my main concern was whether or not I will know who will be the installer before committing.

During their whole sales process I have spoken to multiple agents at different stages from quote, pre installation, support, sales and installation. Each one of them assured me the next agent will let me know who the installer will be BEFORE committing.

I've spoken to Stephen at the enquiry stage, James and Shaina from Product and Services, Ryan from Support, Rachel from Sales, Carl from Installation and Leonard from Customer Service.
My enquiry was made on the 30th of April and confirmed a date for the installation on the 20th of July.

Long story short, there was a lot of back and forth during each stage regarding the who the installer is going to be because the previous agent told me that the next person will be able to answer my enquiry. I was hesitant to provide further information regarding spacing size, photos and location because each person I spoke wanted different information from me and when they have it, I would be passed onto the next team. I followed along with their sales process and provided everything they needed before booking the installation.
Rachel who I had been communicating with the most assured me who the installer will be AFTER I provide a installation date. Once I gave her the installation date, I havent heard back from her or been able to get in contact with her for over a week. During that time I have been contacted by Carl to confirm the date and time of the installation and when asked who the installer would be, I was told he will email everything to me. I did not received any email and when I called/text him I did not get a response or call back. Rachel finally called me back after I emailed to cancel the installation. She confirm the who the installer is, I told her to confirm via text so I have it in writing and she did.

Tomorrow is the battery installation and I get a call from a DIFFERENT sub contactor at 4:38pm asking me questions about the installation site because Voltx did not provide enough information. He told he would be here at 9:30am when I had booked it for 8am.

Called Rachel straight after who didnt pick up, so called Voltx and spoke to Leonard at 4:46pm asking him why the installer changed. Was put on hold while he brings up my file, asked me who called then put me on hold, told me that the original installer had been assigned somewhere else and puts me on hold, then tells me that Rachel or Luke will be calling me back as soon as this call ends and NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. It was a 17 minute phone call with Leonard and I was on hold for 14 minutes, called ended at 5:03pm 17/8/26 outside of business hours.

Update on this 2/9/26

The installation happened the day that was booked for with another subcontractor.

The installation was not compliant as the battery cover I was told will be installed was replace with a little canopy which leaves the battery exposed to up to 8 hours of direct sunlight on a west facing wall. Its been 2 weeks of back and forth and VoltX kept insisting that its compliant until I requested written confirmation from them that it complies with certain regulations and would not void manufacturers warranty and thats when they agreed to get a proper battery cover installed.

The contract that I signed was for 3 x 9.6kwh batteries and they installed 5 x 5.12kwh instead. Ive raised this with them multiple times and they've ignored it. I finally got a response from them today and this is what they said ignoring the fact that they breached the contract agreement and violated consumer law:

"Regarding your concern about the incorrect battery being installed, I have done my best to explore all available options for you.

Unfortunately, the battery and system can no longer be changed because the rebate has already been processed and applied to the installation. Due to this, we are unable to replace the installed system with a different one.

I understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please be assured that we have carefully reviewed your case and considered all possible solutions before reaching this decision."
