Very pleased with wage day advance

Very pleased with wage day advance. Paid a couple of loans of with them now, and just taken out a third one. They have no problem in lending, has long as you make repayments on time. I suppose that would be the same with any money lender.

Brilliant from start to finish

Upfront with costs right from the beginning, doesn't change throughout duration if loan, low % compared to other pay day loans and easy to contact. Would recommend if you are looking for a payday loan

Terrible

Terrible. I raised a complaint over 9 weeks ago and I have received no meaningful contact, other than automatic emails.
I am now raising the complaint with the financial ombudsman as I feel I have no other way of having a response or contact from WDA.
Very disappointed with their service.

AVOID

Can't update bank account online, so phoned up to update bank account, checked online account it was correct, they then somehow managed to pay into old bank account. Over 16 weeks on, still trying to get resolved :(

I have used wda a couple of times due to needing some quick easy emergancy cash and thats exactly what i got, if i ring the calls are akways answered fast and by someone who cant do enough to help, the website is easy and the cashe is normally in the bank within the hour.

Updated complaint x2

I have a complaint outstanding since the 29th September and I am still getting the automated messages.

Everyone knows their parent company is threatening to fold unless the FCA agree to their terms and not the FCA terms in how they deal with complaints such as mine. In the meantime it would seem they are delaying dealing with any complaints until they get their own way.

Shocking service my complaint was forwarded to the ombudsman after 8 weeks and I would advise anyone else to do the same. You won’t get a response from this company.

10/02/2019 They finally responded only to give me a standard letter that hasn’t picked up on anything I wrote in my complaint. In addition mentions there is nothing on my creditfile to alert them to concerns in lending. So the 4 defaults, missed payments, credit allowance of £7,500 but current borrowing is £18,500 several pay day accounts, one guarantor, car loan and 5 credit cards didn’t cause you any concern and the score of 219 all good to lend then?

Clearly my credit file has never once been reviewed by them before or after my complaint.

Thankfully my complaint was sent to the ombudsman back in November as they clearly aren’t prepared to admit checks weren’t done properly.

Thanks for your prompt reply Richard, the ombudsman contacted you in November and are still waiting for information from you.

It makes me laugh,to read some of these stories about great customer service,15 weeks and still counting for this company to send me a final response to a complaint if it wasn’t for there automated message,I’d question weather or not they even existed. Ignorant or incompetent I’d say both .

Complaint took a long time, but was investigated and was resolved

Having now got to the end of this process I am able to give a more balanced review.

My complaint was finally looked at, and was partially upheld. A result I was happy with, and the investigation was explained clearly.

It did take an extremely long time to reach this point. It is difficult to wait and wait, but I am inclined to believe that the company are actually trying to get through the heavy workload, and that is the reason for the delays (as tough as that is to take). I know that it feels like the company is trying to avoid dealing with complaints and delay things, but as I say, I don't personally think that they are.

My redress was paid to me within the estimated timescales, exactly 7 working days after the offer was made.

Overall, I couldn't really give Wageday Advance more than a 3, because I did have reason to complain to begin with, and the complaint took a long time to be resolved, but ultimately it was resolved, and on reflection, I was communicated with, even if I did not really like the message of delays that was given.
