Funerals at the Waveney Memorial Park and Crematorium could be better managed. After my brothers funeral, I gave some feedback, but their reply left me feeling that they hadn’t listened to what I said and that it didn’t match the sentiments in Memoria’s Mission Statement.

Sadly our daughter died this year aged just 33years. We arranged a low cost funeral with Memoria and they were fantastic. They were kind and caring not just for our daughter but to us as well. They went out of their way to help us achieve what we wanted for our daughter and family. They carried out the cremation to the letter and made this awful time a little easier. Thank you to Amy, Hailey and Mark. I hope I have got the names right. Top marks I could not fault you.

The arraignments for the funeral were made through our Humanist Celebrant (Mags Allison - Very Good!) and our Funerals Directors (Fishers in Southwold - also very good). Everything happened as they said it would - thank you to all concerned.

My Mum's funeral took place just after the relaxation of the covid restrictions for funerals. Whilst appreciating that the official advice on how to assess number of mourners and other covid safe rules may have come through late, I do think that there could have been much better communication on what was happening and how many mourners would be allowed. I don't know whether genuine responsibility for this sits with the Crematorium or the funeral directors - whichever, it could have been so much better. There was no explanation on when or how any review would be undertaken; initially I was just told 'assume the 30 limitation would remain' - why, when the government had been really clear that the 30 rule was going??; I was asked to sign that I was prepared to take some responsibilities for the 30 rule, when that was not the legislation/rules in place at the time - why??; and I only heard of the increased numbers allowed late and as an aside to call about another issue. Also the website was no help - an ideal and accessible location for this type of informations.

I put this detail in to allow for an opportunity to improve, but reiterate the arrangements on the day ran very smoothly and it is a peaceful/calm environment - as a family we were very satisfied with my Mum's funeral.

The Waveney Memorial Park is outstanding. Lovely open countryside with a well tended garden setting.
I guess because it is so new and accessed via new roads explains why there could be more and better access signage.
The chapel was beautifully comfortable and well equipped with technology, some of which we used to excellent effect.

I was put at ease from the start of my loss and can honestly say that l couldn't of gone through such a sad loss alone. All questions answered with a caring heart.

After the sad and devastating loss of our much loved mother, we were recommended the service to be conducted at Waveney crematorium, we were not in the least disappointed. With pleasant rural surroundings, immaculate grounds and buildings coupled together with a very professionally conducted service by all those concerned, made it all a more tranquil and comforting atmosphere.
In conclusion, thoroughly recommend Waveney Memorial Park for those who would wish to say a last farewell to a loved one.

Very impressed with the service and dignity afforded my dear friend. Stan. The Co-oP of Pakefield handled the Funeral so well and Carol Stratford, the celebrant, managed a beautiful service for him. Not a pleasant thing to go through but collectively they all made it better. Thank you.

My Father's service was held at the crematorium on the 5th May under the current restrictions, everything went perfectly the room was fine with all the precautions in place for social distancing, the Celebrant who took the service handled the whole thing superbly, the tributes, the photographs and the music we chose were all very clear, We had the video live stream for those who couldn't attend and this was also very good.
overall i found it an excellent place for sad events such as these.

Had cremation of my dad 13th May - staff lovely and friendly. The room was very serene - thought the coloured lights were a great idea. Thank you for making my dad's last day in this world a lovely day to remember.

I attended a funeral some 5 years ago and thought then what an amazing place this was. So When my father passed away at 72 there was no question where to hold his funeral and we chose a celebrant service through the Gordon and Barber directors which is part of Dignity. Waveney memorial is simply a beautiful place, it feels exclusive, calm and peaceful, it is everything you want. Our service included a projector of Dad above his Coffin with the visual tribute to music played so you could see a summary of his life and included his coffin draped in his regimental flag REME.

Due to COVID the guest numbers were low and so we opted for the option of a live feed for those guests who couldn’t attend and also to retain a copy of the service for those who weren’t able to attend in person or via the link.

I can’t recommend Waveney enough, thank you to everyone involved in making the service perfect, they even managed to arrange perfect cloudless blue skies on St. George’s Day.

Memoria Waveney Crematorium is a modern facility set in well cared for grounds and is easily assessible. The interior of the hall was set out to reflect COVID restrictions and was immaculately presented.

My Father recently died and the funeral we had was just right, the people at Waveney Crematorium were lovely and so sympathetic, a first class service.

Can’t recommend this place enough, staff where so friendly. We were allowed to arrange our own funeral for my Dad, no Vicar, no frills, no fuss !!! Brilliant send off to a man who done so much for me, my mum and my family including my two Daughters !!! A special thank you to Lucy who was just so lovely, kind and caring.

My heartfelt thanks to Carol for officiating at my uncle's funeral. Well, it was more than officiating to be honest. It's all the subtle things she said and did that I find very touching and that makes it such a personal and emotive ceremony.

I also wanted you to know that I have received complimentary comments from others who too were very impressed.

Webcam coverage was easy to use and faultless. The attendants were compassionate, efficient and professional at all times.

I am comforted knowing that my very dear uncle has departed with pride and much love and respect, and for that I thank you.

Wonderful service and the whole family were thankful for making the day less stressful than it would have been without your assistance.
