If I could rate 0 I would. Absolutely disgraceful company that takes advantage of people hoping they’re desperate so they can rip them off. Was offered £4815 for my car which was already on the low end as other sites had offered £5,500, but due to how easy it sounded to sell here I was going to take the risk and hope they would bump up the price to match or at least come close, my car was in perfect condition, two sets of keys and spare wheel and low mileage, after bringing it down to them the staff member pointed out a tiny spec of rust on the fuel cap that was no bigger than the end of a pencil (which by the way once getting home came straight off with t-cut) said that that was signs of wear and tear and offered me an insulting £3,485. Since declining the offer I’ve been bombarded with texts with them slightly increasing by a total of £150, and because Ive been ignoring them now they’ve text me to offer an even lower amount of £3,300! Likely just to rub it in my face. Disgusting behaviour.
Estimated online quote is used as bait to attract sellers!
Your estimated quote only appears to serve the purpose of attracting sellers to your premises as its completely unrealistic! I understand that the final offer is dependant of the car condition, but reducing your offer by 85% to 90% of your initial value, when all the data used to build my quote was confirmed as correct by your on-site representative is in my opinion disrespectful of my time and a manipulation of my expectation.
Would not recommend to anyone, the next time I would prefer to donate my car or sell it to any body else!

This is a scam operation in plain sight. They give me a price of £1500 on their website and offered £515 in person. They have some 'manager' in head office asking the same repetitive questions that are asked of you on the website about keys, service history etc and then say it would only fetch x amount at auction!!! So why offer the inflated price on the website in the first place. You would expect a 10-20% reduction not over half. These people know how to waste people's time!! Will never use again!
I went to the Peterborough POD and was very happy with the service
I went to the Peterborough POD and was met by Lewis who was great. Talked me through the process and the price was ok. All done and dusted within 20 minutes or so. Have to say it was totally painless and helps that Lewis was very open, honest and gave great customer service. Great way of selling your car if you ever need to.
SELLER BEWARE
I was most disappointed with my first (and perhaps my last) use of 'We Buy Any Car'
The office manager, John, at Northwich, Cheshire was personable and helpful but even after stating my car was in very good, clean, tidy condition, without bodywork scratches or dinks, had full service history, 2 keys and a current MOT could not prevent the immovable 'We Buy Any Car' computer system reducing the previous much quoted offer price by a massive 33.5%.
Yes, it was an older car in excellent condition but like many other customers before me I felt conned into being promised one price and then being suckered into accepting a far lower level on-site.
Very disappointed- Seller Beware!
I drove my car to their site on the 23…
I drove my car to their site on the 23 April .The actual offer was well below the initial price offered. However what was much worse was 2 months after the car was sold a parking ticket fine arrived .Bailiffs are now chasing me this was after they had purchased the car.
You can’t phone them and thus far they have only acknowledged my email but not responded.
They describe their service as stress free.If this is stress free service then I am a banana the last time I checked I was not a banana.
They are just scammers
They are just scammers. Do not do any business with them
You will regret it
Formal Complaint Regarding Misrepresentation and Unethical Sales Practices
I never received a privat email from you to discuss my disaapointment of your services. I have now contacted your CEO Dear Mr McKee,
I am writing to express my further disappointment regarding both the business model employed by your company and the apparent misrepresentation of customer engagement reflected in your Trustpilot responses.
I note that a public response to my review states that I was contacted separately by your company to discuss my concerns. This is incorrect. I have received no correspondence whatsoever from your organisation. I therefore have serious concerns regarding the accuracy of statements being made publicly in response to customer complaints.
My experience with your service has left me with significant concerns about the conduct and practices of your company.
I was provided with an initial valuation for my vehicle and attended the appointment in good faith. Upon inspection, the valuation was reduced by more than £600 by an individual whom I did not consider suitably qualified or experienced to undertake such an assessment. I felt considerable pressure to proceed with the sale, despite having travelled with all requested documentation and having complied fully with your requirements.
I ultimately declined to sell the vehicle. However, I subsequently received a text message from your company inviting a counter-offer discussion. When I responded positively, I was met with a further reduced offer. This sequence of events gives the impression of a deliberate strategy to attract customers with inflated valuations before progressively reducing the offer once they have committed time and effort to the process.
I fully appreciate that vehicles require inspection and that valuations may be adjusted where appropriate. However, the manner in which this was conducted fell far below what I would consider fair, transparent, or professional. In my view, your representatives were inadequately equipped to undertake accurate assessments and failed to provide a service consistent with the expectations set by your advertising and initial valuation.
Given the circumstances, I will now be escalating my concerns to the relevant organisations and consumer platforms. I also reserve the right to share my experience more widely through appropriate social media and consumer review channels.
I would welcome a substantive response addressing the issues raised above, rather than a generic statement suggesting contact has been made when it has not.
Yours sincerely, his email is "noel.mckeeATwebuyanycar.com"
Shite
Shite! Set of muppets! Got sent a guaranteed price which was still shit, but took it anyway and was going to try knock price down still! Wouldn’t touch this company with a barge pole!
Dodgy !!!
Went there 3 times, first appointment wasted, despite confirmed appointment when arrived to the branch there was nobody. On the second appointment car was valued to less than half of online quote so I wanted to take time to think about it. Third time I was offered £100 scrap value so it feels like this company uses algorithm to pray on assumption of despair..... horrible!!!!

and it was guaranteed for 4days. so when i opened the email the offer was reduced by over£700 i have sent numerous emails but they have not replied to any of them. i can only assume that they dont want to talk to me now'. well they wont be buying any car off me!
Don't sell your cars to companies like…
Don't sell your cars to companies like this. They rip you off, cheat you, lie to you... I registered my car (2015) with them last year to sell it to them - they offered me £1800 - of course I refused them.., the car has an MOT, full service history, it has been maintained, the following have been changed: oil, filters, pads, brake discs, battery, spark plugs, new tyres. The engine is a Toyota with a 65k mile chain. The car is in impeccable condition, starts and drives almost like new. 2 days ago I received a new offer from them for £100, I don't know what exactly they want to buy - the tyres, the wipers, the mirrors??? I don't know for which part of my car exactly they are offering me £100????
PAULINE at the Bedford GoOutdoors…
PAULINE at the Bedford GoOutdoors branch was so helpful, explained everything very well, and made the process of selling my car far more positive than I was expecting. Thank you ☀️
Definitely sell your data on to third…
Definitely sell your data on to third party companies, I put my number in their website for a quote on my car and ever since I’ve been inundated with spam calls
I would not use this service again and would be reluctant to recommend it to others
I attended an appointment with We Buy Any Car expecting a straightforward and professional experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling extremely disappointed.
From the outset, I found the attitude of the representative to be somewhat cocky and dismissive, which did little to inspire confidence in the process. While I understand that online valuations are subject to inspection and adjustment, the outcome was far beyond anything I could reasonably have expected.
What made the situation even more surprising was that the vehicle had successfully passed its MOT test earlier that same morning. As a result, I arrived at the appointment expecting any adjustments to the valuation to be relatively minor.
My initial online valuation was £2,250. Following the inspection, this was reduced to just £420 – a reduction of more than 80%. Whilst I appreciate that vehicle condition can affect the final offer, such a significant difference made the original valuation feel misleading and not a realistic reflection of what the vehicle was actually worth to the company.
The entire experience left me feeling that my time had been wasted. After considering the revised offer, I decided to walk away as it was simply too much of a reduction to accept, particularly given that the vehicle had only just passed its MOT.
Based on my experience, I would not use this service again and would be reluctant to recommend it to others.
Cowboys!!
This fraudulent shower valued my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with just 67000 miles on the clock at £6,215 twelve days ago. Today they increased it to £7,190! First lesson learned, don’t go ahead with them on their initial valuation, they will increase it if you don’t bite!
Four days ago I was offered £9,500 for my vehicle by a dealer in part exchange. The next day I took an offer of £8,915 from another dealer completing on a 73 plate Škoda Superb. Second lesson learned, NEVER ACCEPT A WEBUYANYCAR VALUATION, you will be shafted!
This company needs shut down they…
This company needs shut down they valued my very good condition 2014 ford focus 53000 miles full service history full mot at £400 yes you are reading this right I have just sold the car for £2800 avoid at all costs
Don;t trust their valuation and they'll charge you to give your money the same day!
Turned up with all of the information, the car matched my description. They decided it was worth 12% less than they'd offered, then said even if we buy it we'll wait 4 days to transfer the money unless we charge you a fee. I asked what the fee was for as all banks do instant transfers at the same cost as a normal transfer and they couldn't tell me what the fee was for,
Webuy any car £8230
Webuy any car £8230, carwow achieved £10168, car sold and picked up. Big discrepancy- Nuff said.
Very very bad!!!!
Very very bad!!!!
Car was valued at £550
They offered me £160 I was absolutely disgusted.
Although the man was nice and friendly.
Why are you doing this to people?
Its so unfair!!!!
