Passed my test earlier today thanks to Spencer at Wests School of Motoring. He taught me everything I needed to know to not only pass my test but to be a confident and competent driver. I passed first time with only 2 driving faults. 100% would recommend Wests.

I passed my driving test today first time and that’s all thanks to Andy. Thought-out my whole driving experience he’s been amazing. Throughly going through lessons plans and ensuring that I ask any questions after each lesson and giving pointers and things to take away.
I will miss my weekly lesson and Andy’s great company but grateful to have gained a new life skill and the independence that comes with it.

Spencer was a fantastic instructor. He helped me pass and to handle my stress and anxiety before my test. If anyone has problems with anxiety, you'll be in great hands. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Wests driving school has been a very professional and resourceful company to go through my journey of getting my license.
Firstly, I was positively surprised that they provide you with a very comprehensive guide that covers all key tips and information you will need to be a better and safe driver. Gary, who was my instructor took his time to walk me through all this information, giving me the knowledge and power to be able to apply the theory to the practical.
Gary has been an incredible instructor and really focused on what my learning mechanisms might be to escalate my growth as well as make it an enjoyable experience. He has been very patient and supportive throughout my journey. It is so refreshing see how passionate Gary is with his job and how much feedback he gives you after every lesson. There are such fundamental driving and awareness tips that Gary has provided through every lesson, that I will take away for my entire life. It’s been really helpful to have quantitative rather than descriptive teaching styles, for example understanding the ideal speed range before approaching a bend or roundabout.
Gary has also helped me build my confidence on the road and always had faith in me when I was doubtful. I really do appreciate the reminders of areas that need more focusing and also the opportunity to work on areas that I felt less comfortable with.
Gary is always well up to date with rules and changes to the Highway Code or driving regulations.
I managed to pass my driving test in the first time with Gary and Wests School. I could not have chosen a better instructor to go through this journey with. I’ve not only managed to secure my license, but also gain confidence and become a better driver. Gary is truly commendable at his job and being very friendly and caring is a bonus!

My instructor Spencer was excellent. He not only taught me the skills to pass my test, he taught me skills to drive confidently and to recognise hazards early and take appropriate action. As a result I passed my test with only 2 minor faults.

Can't thank Phil West enough. I would highly recommended Phil and his team to anyone wanting to learn to drive. He has helped and supported me through my driving journey and has always been able to make me feel safe and comfortable during my lessons from day one. He is a man of many words and we had some laughs along the way but he was always there to encourage me and guide me through the rough patches. He was able to build my confidence as a new driver and gave clear instructions throughout my time learning with him which has enabled me to develop invaluable life skills. So again, many thanks to Phil. See you on the roads.

West’s was my 3rd driving school and I have to say THE BEST! I had the pleasure of learning by Phil who has the patience of a saint! Not only did he have to teach me from beginning he had to knock the bad habits out (because of bad instructors before) and because of all he has done, I passed today! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!! Great people skills and taught me to be confident in myself and my driving, such a great guy and so comfortable to be around!

I had trouble finding a driving school with availability post-lockdown having had my test pushed back numerous times. I was fortunate to find out about Wests. My driving instructor, Gary Stalley was excellent - very approachable, constructive and above all a very friendly chap. I passed my test first time thanks to his teaching. Couldn’t recommend West’s School of Motoring enough. My instructor Gary has been amazing from start to finish. I passed my test after 20 lessons. Each lesson was tailored to my needs and Gary gave great advice and tips especially on making myself more comfortable behind the wheel. When I started I was very nervous, Gary was extremely patient and made me feel at ease straight away. By the time my test came round I was confident in my driving ability and felt supported by Gary the whole way. He gave me all I needed out of my lessons. Thank you so much Gary! I’m forever grateful for your support and encouragement.

Passed first time with Phil, couldn’t of asked for anything better from an instructor, from teaching me to drive safe at a very high standard. Very easy to get on with and can have a laugh but your always learning, couldn’t ask for anything better! 5*

Andy was very calming and a brilliant instructor, resulting in a first time pass for both me and my older brother. He is also very reliable.
