Bought a used pedal from their in-person store. Worked fine until the batteries they left in there exploded a few months later - livid that they didn't even bother to take out the last guy's before selling it onto me. (I used it plugged into a rig so never needed to take off the cover)

Normally a great shop, but I'm not convinced that they properly check their second hand stock.

I have just spent over 3 hours in the Bournemouth store trying various digital pianos. Tim was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, made us tea and coffee (so kind and very much appreciated) and gave us free range of the piano room for as long as we wanted. Thanks to his product knowledge and experience, I am now considering a model I wouldn’t have looked at otherwise. He never made me feel under any pressure or obligation and I have come home confident that I can make the decision whether to switch from my traditional upright piano to a digital one with full knowledge of what is in my budget and what each model will offer me. Thank you, Tim: your help has been invaluable.

Great service - I ordered a beginner's acoustic guitar pack online for my teenager. The website was easy to use, the price for the pack was £30 less than our nearest music shop offering the same guitar (which was an hours drive away), and so we decided to take the risk and buy online. Faultless purchase process, confirmation and update emails were great, and we've taken safe delivery of the guitar just two days later. Happy customer, and recommended, thank you 🙂

Ordered from these guys what sadly would become a faulty amp foot controller after a month, beyond the 30 day 'send back no problems' Amazon returns window, so after reaching out they arranged for a next-day swap with no questions asked, new for faulty, and all worked out.

Great friendly staff and knowledgeable. The Bournemouth shop was wicked, and it allowed me to pick a perfect pair of speakers. And believe it or not, they were cheaper than Amazon.

I don’t tend to write too many reviews but working in sales myself, I know you only tend to hear about the negatives. However, in this instance I’m making the exception.

I popped in to AM on the off chance today. I’m looking to trade in a guitar for something new. A young lad behind the counter (I think his name was Luke) was not only very helpful but also incredibly polite. Nothing was too much of an effort for him.

Although I didn’t purchase anything (due to lack of stock for us lefties) he took my details and promised to get in touch if anything of interest came in.

Customer service is so important in business and the service I received today was faultless.

Bought my 14 year old son a 'JET' stratocaster. This guitar is unbelievable quality for the price (£159.00). The neck is amazing, pick ups sound fantastic and the finish is lush. It played and sounded better than a £500 Fender Mustang that we also tried. The service was just amazing from Richard Malpass. I noticed that the intonation was slightly out. Richard spent a good while assessing the issue, and said he thought the bridge needed moving forward a bit and porobably some better strings would help. He took it straight in to their in house tech Robin and 20 minutes later (after letting me try out a couple of telecasters for myself) the guitar played like a dream with lower action, perfect intonation and new strings at no extra cost. To get that treatment when buying a £159 guitar really blew me away. Fantastic service.

Fantastic in store service and advice, my daughter spent hours trying different guitars and they couldn’t be more helpful. We’ve also ordered online and the prices and service is also excellent even offer a 3 year warranty when you join the free VIP club - Excellent all round can’t fault them!

Shockingly blunt online response to issue shipping item via Amazon. Initially product was 10% more expensive than other retailers, but as offered a faster delivery date decided on Absolute Music as an option.

The product however was not shipped on time but seeing as this was meant as a gift, the delay resulted in a 30 mile drive to pick up a replacement from PMT in Manchester at a 10% lower price.

All being fair my complaint was not in the delay, but in the way this was handled when the product was returned with the subsequent refund missing the delivery charge, Absolute Music blaming Amazon when Amazon did not ship the product in the first instance and the blunt response from the staff member who deals with the Amazon Marketplace messages.

Overall even though prices are a little higher than competitors, don't expect your deliveries any faster, shop around...

I was looking for a bundle package on a Roland electronic drum kit, so I called Absolute and spoke to Ben. He couldn't have been more helpful, providing great advice regarding hardware and accessories for the kit I wanted. Better still, despite the fact I called mid-afternoon, he pulled out all the stops to ensure that the package was despatched the same day, so that I received it the following day. Thanks again

Incredible shopping experience, I bought a piano from them and they couldn't have been more knowledgeable, friendly or accommodating. Delivery was completely flexible and hassle-free, communication was super prompt and straight to the point; they really couldn't have done more to help me. Web prices with excellent 'in real life' service. Love this store as it is possible to talk to knowledgeable staff, test out and use gear in store before purchasing and still get good value web-prices. Highly recommend.

Just bought the Tascam DP-24SD here. All I can say is, this is how you run a music shop. Excellent communication at all times. Got my item super fast. Any issues these guys got your back. hi . just wanted to both thank and inform of my first few hours with the focusrite . out of the box so easy to setup .. especiaally with the auto finding help and software . dont even need to look for it . then there is the videos . just every step along the way is just so easy . im up and running . in a basic sense . what took me months . im here within hours . please use this for furture sales . the steinberg stufff may be cheaper . but that little bit extra .. comes with so much back up . its a breeze . so far .
oh and thanks for trying to deliver on sat . i coudnt take it so had to change dleivery , but you went above and beyond . thanks
