I spent over an hour on the phone to them, although the person dealing with me was polite and helpful, I cannot help feeling that it was a complete waste of my time. After 2 weeks I got a phone call from them, here's me thinking 'ooh good, an update on their progress' WRONG., it felt as if they were at a loose end and just rang me to pass the time of day. Complete shambles, they are no help and no protection from fraudsters.

I want to take the time to write a very genuine and heartfelt review for Chris from Action Fraud, because the help and support he gave me today was absolutely outstanding.

When I first called, I was extremely upset, stressed, and overwhelmed about a difficult situation involving my dad. I honestly didn’t know where to turn or what steps to take, and I was in quite a panicked state. Chris spent over an hour on the phone with me, patiently listening, reassuring me, and most importantly giving me clear and detailed guidance on exactly what I needed to do.

He didn’t just rush me or read off a script – he explained everything thoroughly, step by step, in a way that I could understand, even when I was feeling flustered. He made sure I felt supported, that all my questions were answered, and that I left the call with confidence about the next steps I needed to take for me and my dad.

His patience, kindness, and attention to detail made a huge difference to me at a time when I really needed it. I honestly don’t know how I would have coped without his help today.

I truly appreciate everything he did, and I really think he deserves recognition for the way he handled my case. People like Chris are the reason services like Action Fraud make such a difference to people’s lives. If anyone deserves a raise or acknowledgment for going above and beyond in their role, it’s him.

They are the most useless people. The police in the UK have gotten so bad that they give action fraud a contract who are worst than them. Slow to operate, they ask you more questions than the criminals.

NO Action!
With more and more online crime taking place, it's a national failure that ActionFraud is so useless. You have more chances of winning the national lottery than you do in recovering any losses or catching criminals or stopping criminals with this group. Nobody seems to have any power to do anything about crime in this country and by design guess who losses out in this scenario?

I’m inclined to agree with others sentiments on lack of urgency and responsibility. You have to arrange and send all the details of the crime. The immediate response is we’re very busy and the minimum response time will be 6 weeks. Initially this started with the local police who referred it to Action Fraud. When I suggested I might go and sort it myself I was immediately notified that it would be reported and I’d be liable to prosecution. That response was almost immediate!
I don’t know why we pay taxes for this, the scammers know they going to get away with it. So as others have mentioned you’re on your own and powerless to do anything.

Absolute waste of time. Suspect phone number, bank details, address etc. reported but police won't investigate due to lack of "lines of inquiry". What a joke.

I was the victim of a very sophisticated credit card fraud a few weeks ago. I reported this to Action Fraud expecting it to be referred to the Police as a) it was clearly part of a much bigger scam based on the sophistication of what had transpired b) The scammers had a lot of details about me including my new address where I had resided for less than 8 weeks and c) I had located the retailer who they had tried to use my card with and therefore they would have had a delivery address for the goods. However, I have been told by Action Fraud that "On this occasion, based on the information currently available, it has not been possible to identify a line of enquiry which a law enforcement organisation in the United Kingdom could pursue." No wonder Fraud is costing this country so much each year. Totally and utterly inept. If I could give no stars I would.

Action Fraud, is a PR website, that exists to make a it look as a if the police have put some resources into fighting fraud, they haven't, in a capitalist neoliberal economy the reality is you are on your own when it comes to fraud, if you actually manage to get through to the organisation, they will give you some sympathy and a crime number, but that's it. Like the police themselves they are a largely a waste of time. On the website they don't even mention organised crime and a fraud mostly is. Your on your own Jack.

Worse than useless, like the UK police absolutely useless. Long story short I had £1000 taken from my account, according to this rubbish organisation, who do this for the 2 tier police, the loss does not warrant any time.

Complete time waste. Reported them that someone scammed me for 5k , cctv available, culprit bank details present, his van details present and after 6 weeks I received email as conclusion that sorry we did nothing . They didn't even get cctv and not even get scammed items details. Question is that is it necessary that someone scammed a hefty amount, does 5k scam isn't a scam?
Waste of tax payers money. Useless department. Just sandwiches and coffee chillars

I don't think so they are their to help victims. At least what I noticed it is waste of time.

Do not ring these clowns total waste of time .
They are more fraudulent than the people you call them about .
No wonder there is so much fraud around this or organisation encourages it .

Action Fraud is a FRAUD itself! I have been subject to several criminal actions. I have evidence of who has done it, how they did it, and each time some computer spits out a message like the one below. Don't worry it is standard and it only has my name and email. And you can't reply. CON ARTISTS trying to help people.

I have been the victim of identity theft.
I have a case open with Action Fraud.
I was advised by them immediataly contact CIFAS to buy 2 years protective security.
My card has been blocked for obvious reasons therefore CIFAS won't let me buy the protection online and I cannot see another way to buy it.
I spoke to a well meaning woman at Action Fraud who kept repeating over and over that CIFAS is a separate company and 'obviously' she cannot guarantee their services.
I kept reminding her that all I was doing was following Action Fraud's advice to protect myself and she simply got defensive and kept telling that 'obviously' CIFAS is a separate company.
So basically she is saying to me ' tough '.
So much for Action Fraud.
The only useful thing they have done is provide me with a couple of crime numbers.

Why does Trustpilot not permit 0-star ratings? I was scammed when I stupidly believed scammers were calling from my bank over a number of days. My bank instructed me to report it to Action Fraud. The website is awful, slow and extremely difficult to negotiate. It doesn't even look official and had I not been told to contact it, I would think it was a scam in itself.

Absolutely useless. I think that they are using AI to answer fraud crime claims. The answer to my query was replied to almost immediately which made me think that the claim hadn't been read properly.
They said identity theft wasn't a crime. Stealing from a bank account wasn't a crime.

I would give it zero stars if I could.
I provided valid bank account details of the fraudster, and Action Fraud declined to pursue - claiming “they didn’t have enough information to pursue”.
My perception is that it is another useless and meaningless government agency.
However, no doubt if I made any anti-woke statement on Twitter, I would be arrested immediately and sentenced to Life Imprisonment.
And the Police wonder why the General Public perceive that there is 2-tier policing…

Visa laimė nepraradau sveiko proto tai neturi buti taip, atsaukiau 2 u kreditus kur davinejo po 10000 EUR. O už ką iš AML reikėjo sumokėti 2000 EUR taip nelabai ir supratau. Trumpai kalbant viena sakė priešingai elgesi.AFERISTAI. Kaip žema. Nepasitikėjimas -10000%
