It has been a whole year since I moved to 609-3455 Aylmer street.

We have never met, but I always felt that you she close whenever I need an information or I have a request. I m sure that Luz would help me and do her best.

I can't thank her enough for all the work she has been doing, I really do appreciate!

Even though she has many things to manage, she was always working for the best interest of every tenant.

It was really amazing talking with her as usual. She has always been a great help and an amazing support to me!

My apartment at 25 Avenue des Pins, Montreal is currently infested with centipedes. There are huge centipedes that come out at night in the sink, toilet and kitchen.
I emailed Alkelius 2 weeks ago. They never replied. I call them. They tell me they will call me back. I was never called back. They could care less and are trying to push me to pay for an exterminator. They are simply ignoring me.
My subletter had to leave because he was terrified. I lost 1.5 months of rent from my subletter because of this. I will be coming back to my apartment next month, and am terrified that they will be all over my studio.

Alkelius is very good at ignoring their tenants. There was a burning smell in my apartment and I contacted Alkelius who ignored me as usual, said they would call back but they didn't for a couple days and it was too dangerous to wait. If a burning smell comes from a plug this could lead to a fire. So I contacted and paid for an electrician. I decided to deduct the costs from my rent and inform Alkelius that I was doing so. Because I deducted the costs from my rent Alkelius threatened me to go to court because they REFUSED TO PAY THE ELECTRICIAN. ALKELIUS NEVER PAID ME BACK . This cost me 350$.

These are only two of MANY stories I have about living in this apartment..

EDIT (REPLY TO ALKELIUS): I was not contacted. It has been 3 WEEKS since I complained about the centipedes and asked for the extermination. CALL ME.

Snälla

Har aldrig varit med om en så nonchalant hyresvärd som Akelius. Har varit i kontakt med "felanmälan" och "servicecenter" angående värmen i lägenheten, eller snarare avsaknaden av värme. Det är alltså riktigt kallt i bostaden och Akelius gör ingenting åt det. De kan inte få till en sådan enkel sak som att dra tummen ur röven och istället trycka en annan knapp så att vi får vår värme. Man kan tänka sig att det vore en enkel sak, men icke för den som gråter när han skiter.

Sämsta hyresvärden jag någonsin bott…

Sämsta hyresvärden jag någonsin bott hos. Bor i kronprinskomplexet i malmö. As we speak så har vi ingen el i trapphuset på vår våning, och eftersom inga fönster finns så är det mörkt som i en grotta. Igår hittade vi granntanten på 90 barre halvgråtandes för hon inte såg ett jota pga så mörkt.

Idag och de senaste dagarna har jag, min sambo och nyfödde son vaknat till en lägenhet som håller ungefär samma temperatur som Antarktis. Oklart när de sätter på värmen här. Härligt med lite spänning i vardagen ju.

Till råga på allt så håller de på och geoborrar 130 meter ner i marken. Och detta resulterar i att det låter som att det borrar rakt in i skallen på mig. Så jag ska alltså betala full hyra för att inte kunna vara i min lägenhet då jag på riktigt är orolig för att det skadar mitt barns öron.

Har INGET positivt att säga om Akelius.

Property manager is always on service !!

Great service. Helped me out so much, they really are about the customer/tenant. Id like to thank Mohammed specifically.He is the best I've been treated by any realty. I recommend him for anyone looking for apartments he will make sure your needs are met. Always on time, so kind on top of the helpfull. I'm very happy to get him as a property manager.

Akelius Stole $300 from me

I applied for the The Edition in Hyattsville MD. I paid $100 application fee and they said I had to give them a $300 holding fee. They cashed the check before letting me know that my application was not approved on September 3 and have yet to send me my money back! They shouldn't have taken it in the first place before approving me. I was told that they treat my holding fee as a security deposit and it's in the que to be paid eventually. I never lived there so why am I in a que with tenants who are waiting for their security deposit? To say I'm livid is an understatement! They need to be reported to the better business bureau! If I don't receive my money by 9/24, that's exactly what I plan to do! This is highly unethical.

Mohammed is really co-operative person who fix stuff in my apartment

In my apartment the maintenance person came to fix stuffs. His name is Mohammed, he is really really professional person and so Co-operative. He took care of every little things which was not fixed before i moved in. Really appreciate his customer Service and hard work and highly recommend.

Negligent towards tenants

Negligent towards tenants

I rent a studio flat from Akelius in north London (UK). I have emailed the service team several times over the past month now asking them to empty the sanitary bins in the communal bathrooms (which is their responsibility), as failure to do so represents a health and safety risk to tenants.

They simply don't care and routinely ignore legitimate complaints from tenants. I could give other examples too.

Please, just please don't live here

I can't even have the desire to give a single star. It says one star but it's actually -100000000

I was lied to regarding the quality of the building. They said there were no cockroaches and that my future unit would already have been renovated.

The day after signing my lease they scammed me from my desired unit by saying that they made a mistake and that the current resident decided to stay, which forced me into having an even lower quality unit.

I am currently dealing with a cockroach infestation that has them crawling in my fridge and nearly in my food when i cook, i have had a leaky pipe that has been half fixed to a point mold built which made my chronic asthma a nightmare.

Oh and of course during the heatwave i was incapable of opening my windows or sometimes even have my air conditioning on. I had construction workers in hazmat suits close my windows from outside saying they're working with dangerous chemicals, only to STILL have some entering my unit.

I am hardly ever told when people come into my house for renovations, to a point i had nearly had someone walk into my house while i was naked (and keep in mind I'm a girl).

Oh and the renovations they're doing? Apparently it's been happening for years and i only found out through neighbors. The noise pollution is so bad that it has led me to have to work remotely in a McDonald's or outside on the street on multiple accounts. That's without the fact that it has made my anxiety a lot worse. I am woken up every weekday morning starting 7am on the dot and the noise persists all the way through 5pm relentlessly, causing me constant headaches, anxiety and lack of energy for me to even function properly at work or school.

And if you think management could help, oh no they can't. If it isn't from not being able to even log the request right, not only do they not give you any information on the state of the building regarding their renovations, they also don't give you proper notices regarding water or electricity shutdowns. Their management is so bad that my roach infestation has lead to me having to pack my kitchen in boxes in order to stop having roaches in my cutlery or plates. I literally live off like a bum in my own house.

My apartment is not even a safe space anymore.

I'm praying for anyone who currently lives here to leave for their sake and for ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING TO SIGN IP FOR THIS PLACE FOR THEIR SCAMMY 2 MONTH FREE SPECIAL TO AVOID THIS BRIBE AND RUN AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE!

Also fun fact they write that they're permanently closed to make people believe it's no longer an issue and to reduce the bad reviews

Slum Living conditions

Akelius is the single worst company I have ever encountered for renting an apartment.

They promised access to my balcony, a place free of roaches and said it would take 9 days after the beginning of my lease for me to be ready to move in due to cleaning and prepping the apartment for my move.

When moving in, i come into a kitchen with a broken stove, a bathroom covered in dirty boot marks, caulking coming apart from the bathtub that was already peeling apart on its own.

The balcony i was hoping to use was boarded up and inaccessible for construction they lied about.

Months pass and a minor cockroach issue comes and goes and is taken care of without a second thought. But then a leak in a pipe starts molding an entire wall of the building where the water caused structural damage to the elevators dropping a tennant 3 floors down (thank god theyre safe). So calling in to warn about the mold issue taking over an entire wall of my apartment and cockroaches coming out of my pipes. They end up opening my wall, covering with a plank and leaving without further details leaving the air dangerous for me, my partner and my cat to breathe in. They send a bedbug inspector to stall as if it was some misunderstanding when we said "cockroaches are coming out of our pipes". We lived in the apartment for a month and a half with a hole in the wall, mold, and an ever increasing cockroach infestation before they sent plumbers to fix it over several weeks. Never finishing to patch up the hole in the wall.

All this, not to mention the incopetence of the construction workers shooting tons of silica dust on the balcomy and into my air conditioner potentially causing us severe lung disease. The consistent unwarned intrusions by people from Akelius in my apartment wether i am there or not. Constantly worrying me as i see my cat stressed beyond belief when i get home.

Every day spent here is more trouble, more anxiety, more trauma. It is unfit for living here, and seemingly anywhere else owned by this company. Stay as far away as you can.

Very agressive way of communication w…

Very agressive way of communication w customers. Just in case customer it is someone who gives you money (in fact for nothing).
They force to pay bills in next two weeks in a way as you missed all the payments in the world, while you are not. When it comes to to return Kaution Akelius just disappears, in the contract there is no even a single word about dates of return. All the emails are unanswered from their side.
This company only takes your money but gives nothing in return. When renting out a dog's box for 1000 eur, would that be possible to be a bit responsive and flexible.
Just a tip when signing contract w akelius off have a very good lawer and press this company till it just ceases to exist! This is the way it'll end up to exist sooner or later. Or better ignore them!

Ich hatte mal eine Wohnung von akelius,,,
Ohne es zu kommentieren!!! Akelius ist zu 100% froh mich los zu haben,, da ich ja mit dem Mieterschutzbund gekommen bin.. die Probleme wurden dadurch geklärt. Aber die Mietpreise sind der Wahnsinn,, für eine 1 Raum oder 1,5 etwas über 1000 warm !!! Ich habe wieder versucht eine Wohnung zu bekommen,, aber wurde abgelehnt. Jetzt im Nachhinein bin ich froh 😌 im gesamten muss ich sagen,, ja die Probleme wurden gelöst. Aber ich glaube nicht das ich es ohne den Mieterschutzbund nicht geschafft hätte. Der Ablauf wegen wohnungspbergsne lief gut 👍 auch die Kaution . Auch meine Anliegen wurden sehr schnell erledigt. Auch der falsche Eintrag bei der Bescheinigung wegen Mietschulden wurde recht schnell bearbeitet,, obwohl es erst hieß man könne mir leider keine neue ausstellen aber es ging doch. Jetzt habe ich mir auf Grund der ganzen Bewertungen entschieden wirklich bei akelius keine Anfragen mehr zu stellen,, und zu dem es ey nichts bringt weil ich immer wieder ne Mail bekomme das die Wohnung jemand anderes bekommen hat. Und zu dem die so teuer ist das jeder zur mir sagt ich sollte es sein lassen. Den wenn man für eine 1 Raum Wohnung schon knapp 800 warm bezahlt ,, ist das meiner Meinung nach abzoge! Auch wenn die Wohnungen vielleicht in der Nähe von der Stadt liegt sind sie viel zu teuer.
