Don’t fall for the hype on the website
Avoid, avoid, avoid. While I acknowledge interest rates are based on personal circumstances, the Alex Bank website is very misleading. Also the timeliness of assessor’s is dreadful. Typically Alex Bank sends you a request for information and then takes at least one full working day to action, followed by another request for additional information (which you knew was needed but not asked for in the original request for information was made). This shows that the assessment process is a sequential check list rather than a wholistic assessment. Also the whole process would be two to three days quicker if the asssesor just called applicants to discuss the documents that are needed. The timeliness claims made by Alex Bank on their website is a joke - do not believe them.
